Chapter 86: It is Known That Dragons Have Two
Upon hearing his words, the giant dragon let out a low, pleased roar and nodded repeatedly, seemingly in agreement.
Wen Chu tentatively picked up a crystal core.
Seeing that Xiu had no reaction other than looking at him expectantly, Wen Chu felt relieved.
He looked at the small mountain of crystal cores reaching his calves and tried to discuss with Xiu: “There are too many crystal cores here; I can’t carry them all. Can I bring the carriage over to load them?”
The giant dragon nodded again.
Subsequently, it flew up again. With one claw grabbing the carriage and the other grabbing the little white horse that had already passed out, it delivered the carriage directly in front of Wen Chu.
It didn’t forget to flick its tail.
Once again smashing a deep pit in the ground.
Knowing that the other party was Xiu, the original nervousness and fear were swept away. Seeing Xiu unable to speak and gesturing wildly, Wen Chu couldn’t help but smile.
He put the small mountain of crystal cores into the carriage, then walked further away to pick up the crystal core he had thrown aside earlier.
Xiu lay down, retracted his claws, and stared unblinkingly at Wen Chu’s movements.
In the dragon’s logic, Wen Chu’s willingness to accept his gift meant Wen Chu was willing to accept him.
Then he probably wouldn’t run away.
Even if he wanted to run away, it didn’t matter.
He had huge wings and sharp claws to catch this liar who took the gift and ran.
The white-haired demon was moving things back diligently like a little bee.
Looking down from Xiu’s high vantage point, Wen Chu and the carriage looked like two miniature toys.
The youth already looked well-behaved, and scaled down, he looked even more like a doll, making the curled-up dragon guiltily grind his claws on the ground.
Fortunately, his sharp claws didn’t hurt the beautiful little gem.
Wen Chu didn’t know that Xiu had already thought as far as forced love. He happily collected the money all over the ground, looked up at the giant dragon without any fear, even with some expectation.
“Can I go home with you?”
The giant dragon blinked blankly.
Did he hear wrong?
Shouldn’t he be the one capturing Wen Chu next? How did it turn into Wen Chu actively going home with him?
“Roar?” He let out a confused roar.
Normally, a demon shouldn’t be able to understand a dragon’s roar.
But Wen Chu understood it perfectly.
He lowered his eyes, looking pitiful: “I don’t have a place to live. I get bullied by others in the Demon Realm. Can I live with you?”
Wen Chu pointed to the cart: “I brought fruits myself. I’ll just eat berries every day; I won’t cost you a lot of money.”
As soon as his voice fell, Wen Chu met the giant dragon’s suddenly constricted vertical pupils.
This was a sign of anger.
Wen Chu was startled and subconsciously moved closer to the carriage, not knowing why Xiu was angry again.
In this world, the gap in combat power between him and Xiu was simply too large.
One breath of dragon fire from Xiu, and he would die on the spot.
But fortunately, the giant dragon just looked in the direction of the Royal Capital, angrily snorted flames from his nostrils, then turned back and nodded to him hurriedly.
“Roar! Roar roar!”
He welcomed Wen Chu to stay very much.
Wen Chu’s eyes curved into a smile: “That’s great. Thank you, Mr. Dragon.”
“By the way, my name is Wen Chu. How should I address you?”
The dragon tilted his head. In his original form, he couldn’t speak, so he ultimately just scratched the ground with his claws irritably.
He lifted the tip of one claw, pushed Wen Chu into the carriage, closed the door, and then grabbed the carriage directly to take off.
Take him home first, lock Wen Chu up.
Wait until Wen Chu definitely couldn’t escape, then turn into human form and talk to him.
Thinking this, Xiu lowered his eyes to look at the carriage in his claws.
The white-haired demon stuck his head out of the carriage window and was looking up at him.
The fierce wind from the flight blew up his long white hair. Amidst the messy long hair, Xiu met those round blue eyes.
The little Nightmare immediately smiled obediently at him.
No fear, no panic.
So strange.
Xiu felt blank again.
By the way, why did Wen Chu know he was male?
A strange feeling rose in Xiu’s heart, but he immediately cast it aside.
Regardless of what Wen Chu was thinking, he was the gem he had snatched.
Once brought back to the lair, he belonged to him; no one was allowed to steal him away.
.
Wen Chu happily experienced flying inside the carriage.
His true form also had wings, but the ear feathers on both sides of his ears obviously couldn’t let him fly. In the previous two worlds, he could only float low in the air.
This was his first time flying this high.
Just like the helicopter ride Xiu took him on.
The giant dragon carried him into the clouds, and the wasteland below gradually disappeared. Wen Chu had already started imagining a happy life for him and Xiu.
He had learned cooking with Xiu and could go out hunting. The small carriage was still there too. Even if the place Xiu lived was remote, he could go out and use crystal cores to exchange for money to buy food.
Wen Chu looked at the piles of crystal cores in the carriage.
Xiu really cared about him. Xiu definitely couldn’t have snatched the princess and had a change of heart; there must be a misunderstanding.
Once the misunderstanding was cleared up, he would use these crystal cores to buy a house.
Ideally, a house that could accommodate Xiu’s dragon form.
Right… dragon form.
Wen Chu paused.
From just now until now, Xiu and he had been communicating with roars.
Could it be that Xiu couldn’t turn back into human form and couldn’t speak anymore?
Communication was secondary; he could understand Xiu’s roars and body language. But, but, what about their mating…
Wen Chu extended his arm out the window and compared it with Xiu’s claw.
Looking at the claw tip that was as thick as his arm, Wen Chu fell silent.
Who said size difference isn’t a problem?
With a size difference like this, the problem was huge.
Just as Wen Chu was struggling with whether to ask the System what conditions Xiu needed to turn back into a human, a sense of weightlessness suddenly came.
Xiu started to descend with him.
Wen Chu looked down again and realized he had unknowingly arrived at a desolate mountain.
The mountain body was also scorched black. Halfway up the mountain was a huge cave entrance, and Xiu was flying towards it with him.
“Clang—”
The carriage was placed on the platform at the cave entrance.
The little white horse was long unconscious. Xiu extended a claw directly to push the cart inside.
The depth of the cave was unknown. It carried a damp, cold aura, getting dimmer the further in they went.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Wen Chu and Xiu arrived in front of two huge wooden doors.
Xiu placed his claw on the door.
Golden formation patterns flashed on the door for an instant, then it opened with a boom.
“Creak—”
The moment the door opened, Wen Chu closed his eyes against the dazzling light from inside.
What is that? Why is it so bright?
Wen Chu kept his eyes closed for quite a while before tentatively opening them, then let out a confused “Ah” sound.
What entered his vision was an open space of a full thousand square meters.
Magic lamps lit up on the walls on both sides. On the open ground were piles of various gems, crystal cores, and gold coins stacked like mountains.
Gold coins were reduced to mere gravel for the base. Above the gold coins were processed necklaces and crowns, as well as rough stones obviously just mined. The rough stones were at least the size of a head, and Wen Chu even saw a large gem half as tall as a person.
Wen Chu was so shocked he was speechless.
How could there be so much money??
His shocked expression greatly pleased the giant dragon. The golden dragon let out a happy roar and nudged him to get off the carriage.
When Wen Chu got off the carriage, he still felt like he was dreaming.
Just now he was thinking about how to support the family.
In the blink of an eye, he arrived in front of Xiu’s mountain of gems.
After getting off the carriage, the shock brought by the gem mountain was even more intense. Wen Chu looked up at the top of the mountain and started thinking about a more serious question.
He might need to buy a castle to fit Xiu and Xiu’s property.
But how could he earn enough money to afford a castle?
Just as Wen Chu fell into deep thought, the back of his neck suddenly tightened.
Xiu lifted him onto his claw, flapped his wings, and flew him to the top of the gem mountain.
The giant dragon solemnly placed the most beautiful gem on the very tip of the mountain, then stared unblinkingly.
Amidst the brilliant light of the gems, there was a pair of blue eyes more dazzling than any rare treasure he had ever seen.
So pretty.
Little Gem, his.
A scorching feeling surged up again.
It wasn’t a headache. Xiu didn’t know what was wrong with him either, just felt uncomfortably hot all over.
A whimper escaped from the dragon’s throat as he lowered his head to gently nuzzle Wen Chu’s cheek.
Wen Chu felt a little pain from the rubbing and couldn’t help but block it, then met the dragon’s gaze which looked like it was weeping and complaining.
As if looking at a heartbreaker.
Wen Chu: …
Wen Chu patted Xiu’s head, feeling the icy touch of the dragon scales on his fingertips, and explained: “Your scales are too hard; it hurts a little when you rub against me.”
As he spoke, he brushed aside his long hair, revealing his cheek.
His face was scraped red.
Wen Chu didn’t know what Xiu wanted to do by putting him up here, and the gems underneath him were really uncomfortable, so he tentatively stood up.
The giant dragon looked at him and let out another roar, this time almost a wail.
Just having steadied himself on the mountain, Wen Chu looked at Xiu in confusion.
Why suddenly sad?
This was the bad thing about not being able to speak; he needed to guess what Xiu really wanted to express.
Could it be he was sad because he couldn’t rub against him?
Wen Chu thought about it and said: “You can rub against me, but be gentler. I’m afraid of pain.”
The giant dragon whimpered again.
Then, under Wen Chu’s surprised gaze, the mountain-like giant dragon slowly shrank, finally turning into the appearance of an adult man.
The man was very handsome, with semi-long blonde hair falling over his shoulders. Those transparent blue eyes were still fixed tightly on him.
Behind him, below his tailbone, was a golden dragon tail flicking uneasily.
It was Xiu.
“Don’t go.” Xiu spoke, pursing his lips and grabbing his hand.
Wen Chu was completely confused: “I didn’t want to go.”
Turning back into human form, his physical constitution wasn’t as tough as his original form, and the feeling of a headache followed like a shadow. Xiu bit his lower lip hard to keep from losing his reason and tying Wen Chu up directly.
Don’t scare Wen Chu.
Xiu took a deep breath and explained in a low voice: “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“My name is Xiu. These are all for you… Don’t go.”
Wen Chu was even more bewildered. He repeated: “But I didn’t want to go.”
Xiu didn’t speak, staring at Wen Chu’s standing legs.
Wen Chu followed his gaze and suddenly realized: “I stood up only because these gems are too hard and uncomfortable.”
Xiu’s tense spirit relaxed a little.
“I didn’t expect…” He mumbled. “I will buy you a new bed.”
The Dragon Race’s defense was almost maxed out. He usually slept directly on the gem mountain and hadn’t thought at all that this would be uncomfortable for the delicate little demon.
“It’s okay.” Wen Chu shook his head.
He looked at Xiu strangely, feeling that Xiu in this world was weird.
It wasn’t obvious in dragon form, but very obvious in human form.
He always felt Xiu was deliberately suppressing something, presenting a contradictory sense of pulling back and forth.
Was it because of the bloody past?
Thinking this, Wen Chu held Xiu’s hand back.
He smiled very obediently at Xiu: “Thank you for being willing to take me in. But there’s no rush to buy a bed. Can you show me around your home first?”
Xiu felt that even his hand held by Wen Chu was burning.
Blood all over his body was clamoring to possess Wen Chu. Even though Wen Chu was already in his lair, he couldn’t be satisfied.
Still wanted to go further…
“Xiu?”
Wen Chu’s puzzled voice came from beside his ear.
Xiu snapped back to reality, flusteredly putting away his lewd thoughts and nodding: “Okay, okay.”
He reached out, picked Wen Chu up in a princess carry, walked steadily down the gem mountain, and then put Wen Chu down politely and restrainedly.
“This is the outermost cave, also where I usually sleep.” Xiu put the hand that had just held Wen Chu behind his back, rubbing it repeatedly.
He led Wen Chu inside: “Inside are various storage rooms. There are three gem storage rooms, eight gold coin storage rooms, five for crafts…”
Xiu had practically hollowed out this entire mountain. Wen Chu followed Xiu all the way inside, pushing open door after door of storage rooms, until his eyes were dazzled by various golden lights.
He knew nothing about magic and didn’t notice at all that Xiu skipped the formations and opening methods of all the rooms.
Xiu looked like he was just focused on collecting gems; he probably wouldn’t kidnap a princess?
Wen Chu guessed secretly.
He didn’t lack money at all, and he hadn’t prepared any daily necessities for humans.
So indeed, he had misunderstood Xiu?
Just as Wen Chu was considering how to bring up the matter of the princess with Xiu, Xiu’s footsteps paused.
They stood before an unremarkable small storage room.
“What’s wrong?” Wen Chu asked.
A flash of unnaturalness passed through Xiu’s eyes as he mumbled: “This room is for miscellaneous items. It’s too messy and hasn’t been tidied up, so don’t look at it.”
The smile just curving on Wen Chu’s lips froze.
“Miscellaneous items?” He repeated slowly. “What kind of miscellaneous items?”
Xiu: “Just… just… some unimportant things.”
Wen Chu was straightforward: “I want to see.”
Xiu pursed his lips and changed the subject stiffly: “Shall I take you to see the sapphires?”
The smile on Wen Chu’s lips disappeared completely.
He looked at Xiu and said with a faint smile: “You didn’t hide someone in here, did you?”
“No.” Xiu denied. “I didn’t hide anyone.”
Wen Chu’s tone was brisk: “You better not have.”
He spoke as if telling a harmless little joke, and after finishing, he gave up exploring the small room, turning to follow Xiu to see the sapphires.
Xiu breathed a sigh of relief.
Great, Wen Chu didn’t delve deeper.
Otherwise, he couldn’t explain at all why there were mountains of Overend’s Poetry Collections, black robes, and obviously freshly used kitchenware in his storage room.
He had to take advantage of Wen Chu’s inattention to dispose of these “evidences of crime” as soon as possible.
Wen Chu’s eyes darkened.
Did Xiu really hide the princess?
Xiu started stuffing various sapphires into his hands, but Wen Chu was already absent-minded.
He remembered the story Xiu once told him, about how the giant dragon unrequitedly loved and abducted the princess.
He thought he should at least be the princess, but it turned out he was the cannon fodder knight passing by.
Xiu didn’t lack money or land; why snatch a princess when he had nothing to do?
Such ambiguous pulling and pushing; if he wanted revenge, wouldn’t it be better to just kill her?
The more Wen Chu thought, the more it felt like a fishbone in his throat, and the arc of his mouth pressed down little by little.
Finally, even Xiu noticed Wen Chu’s bad mood.
He looked at Wen Chu carefully: “Don’t you like them?”
The white-haired demon’s long eyelashes trembled.
He slowly curved out a smile.
“I like them, of course I like them.”
If Xiu dared to cheat, he shouldn’t think about leaving this cave alive.
Didn’t he like hiding a beauty in a golden house? Then he would do him to death right in front of the princess Xiu was hiding.
He didn’t have evidence yet, and he couldn’t barge in forcefully in front of Xiu. Wen Chu smiled and glossed over this topic he hated.
He said: “It’s getting dark. What are we eating?”
Xiu shivered for no reason.
He felt that wasn’t what Wen Chu wanted to say, but he didn’t know why he thought that.
Wen Chu was so pitiful and innocent.
From Wen Chu’s previous words, Xiu had already pieced together a complete story: In the Demon Realm where the weak are prey to the strong, the poor little Nightmare was bullied by his own kind and forced to separate from his lover, traveling far to the wasteland.
His demon lover was truly a piece of trash.
Xiu once again mocked Louis, then flicked his tail and said: “I’ll go out and hunt magical beasts for you.”
Wen Chu’s gaze lingered on that thick tail for a moment, then he nodded obediently: “Okay.”
.
Wen Chu had intended to open the door to the utility room while Xiu was out, but upon touching it, he realized there was a magic formation on the door.
Wen Chu was so angry he almost shed tears.
Xiu was indeed guarding against him, even specially setting up a formation to prevent him from opening it.
He had no magic power and couldn’t break the formation, so he could only give up.
Returning to the gem mountain, within five minutes, the giant dragon flew back clutching a giant rabbit.
Upon seeing Wen Chu sitting at the entrance, the giant dragon’s murderous gaze softened instantly.
He turned into human form and pushed the bloody rabbit in front of Wen Chu.
Wen Chu: …
Wen Chu tried to explain: “I don’t eat raw meat.”
Xiu’s gaze revealed a trace of surprise just right: “Is that so?”
He said guiltily: “Sorry, I don’t have kitchenware here, and I haven’t cooked cooked food before. Can I make a fire to roast it for you?”
Remembering Xiu’s dragon flame that burned the Wasteland Ice Wolf to ashes in ten seconds, Wen Chu instructed: “Then make the fire smaller.”
Xiu didn’t even have a decent dagger here, so Wen Chu highly suspected Xiu couldn’t cook either.
Looking at it this way, the person who inexplicably cooked for him and caused him to be chased by Wasteland Ice Wolves seemed to be someone else.
Thinking this, Wen Chu found a sharp gem from the gem mountain, dug out the rabbit’s crystal core, cleaned it, and then carefully let Xiu breath a mouthful of dragon flame.
The rabbit meat burned, and the flame extinguished quickly after half a second.
Appearing before Wen Chu was a whole roasted rabbit, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
There was no seasoning, so he had taken out some White Honey in advance and applied it to the rabbit meat like honey. The effect wasn’t bad; the cave was filled with the aroma of sweet honey roasted meat.
“That’s enough.”
Wen Chu shared more than half with Xiu while it was hot, and gnawed on the rabbit himself on the side.
His mood was still a bit down, and apart from necessary communication, he basically ignored Xiu.
Xiu thought Wen Chu had finally realized he was being kept captive and was frightened by the harsh environment in the cave.
…So by doing this, no matter how he disguised it, would he be hated by Wen Chu?
No, not hated. At least Wen Chu hadn’t run away directly now.
That meant his restraint was somewhat useful; he should continue to maintain it.
Xiu ate the rabbit tastelessly, thinking that he must set up a luxurious and beautiful home for Wen Chu tomorrow.
The Little Gem looked very beautiful on the gem mountain. Just looking at that scene, his dark possessiveness was greatly satisfied, and his dragon blood couldn’t help boiling.
But the Little Gem’s happiness was the most important.
Such a fragile creature, if not raised well, could easily die.
The two finished the meal with their own thoughts.
Wen Chu followed Xiu to the spring deep in the cave to wash up, then returned to the gem mountain.
The little horse finally woke up at this moment, looking blankly at everything before it.
Hugging his blanket, Wen Chu asked for Xiu’s opinion: “Can I go back to sleep in the carriage?”
A struggling look appeared on Xiu’s face, then he said carefully: “Will the carriage be too small?”
Wen Chu: “But the gems are too hard; I won’t be able to sleep.”
Xiu flicked his tail: “You can sleep on me. My belly has no scales; it’s soft.”
Saying this, he turned back into his original form and lay down directly in front of Wen Chu, exposing his soft belly to him.
Wen Chu thus got to see the full view of Xiu’s dragon form and froze on the spot.
He clearly saw that under Xiu’s belly, there were two.
And both were standing spiritedly.
Full of question marks, Wen Chu frantically pinged the System: 【Why does Xiu have two? Is he sick?】
System: 【I didn’t finish explaining back then, and you interrupted me. The Dragon Race has extremely weak reproductive ability, so males evolved two. This is common knowledge.】
Wen Chu: …
Wen Chu looked away, his cheeks burning a little.
After the surprise, he smoothly accepted this setting and couldn’t help thinking of other places.
Just one, when choked, Xiu would whimper and struggle in collapse, losing all reason, until finally he could only pitifully spit it out in small mouthfuls.
What about two together?
Even a dragon would collapse, right?
“Roar woo—”
Not receiving a response from Wen Chu for a long time, the belly-exposing giant dragon let out an ingratiating roar, trying to attract the other’s attention.
Wen Chu was pulled back from his thoughts, looking at the dragon in front of him.
Alright, even if Xiu might be cheating with a princess, he would still be hooked by Xiu.
He was just spineless like that.
But he couldn’t agree so quickly; it would make him seem cheap.
If he wasn’t so easy to get, Xiu would cherish him more between the princess and him.
Wen Chu tried hard to keep his facial expression taut, deliberately hesitated for a while before agreeing: “Okay.”
The giant dragon let out a happy low roar, grabbed him and flew up the gem mountain, carefully placing Wen Chu on his belly.
His belly was indeed very soft, carrying a scorching body temperature. In the cold cave, it was like a self-heating mattress.
Wen Chu covered himself with the blanket in his hand and said to the giant dragon: “Goodnight.”
The giant dragon breathed out hot air from his nose and obediently closed his eyes.
Strange to say, obviously without the help of Moon Breath Grass, as the little Nightmare on his belly said that sentence, Xiu actually felt a long-lost sleepiness.
Could a Nightmare… actually use mental suggestion?
Liked him even more.
So pretty, so cute, so powerful, his Little Gem.
The giant dragon felt heat again.
From the moment he met Wen Chu, he had been constantly heating up. This heatwave almost overwhelmed the headache.
Compared to violence and slaughter, such heat made him want to expose his belly in front of Wen Chu, lick every inch of Wen Chu’s skin, or lift his tail for Wen Chu…
The giant dragon curled his tail, carefully protecting the pretty Nightmare in his embrace, and fell into a deep sleep.
Wen Chu was left speechless facing Xiu’s spirited guys.
Xiu in this world… held back this hard?
Couldn’t even go down while sleeping.
Listening to the even breathing of the giant dragon beside him, Wen Chu couldn’t help sighing with emotion:
The sleep quality is really good; fell asleep in a few seconds.
Wait, sleep quality is good?
Wen Chu looked at the Health Points on the panel that were about to hit rock bottom.
【Remaining Health: 3 days, 07 hours, 33 minutes】
Since Xiu’s sleep quality was good, then he should, probably, maybe, not be easily woken up by him, right?
The rabbit only satisfied physiological hunger.
He was still very hungry now, especially since Xiu started dreaming at light speed after falling asleep, his whole body emitting a fragrant dream aura.
So hungry.
Wen Chu hesitated for a moment and made a decision.
He would just go into Xiu’s dream and eat a small bite.
Just a small bite.
