From the sunless entertainment district of the dungeon to the bright castle, Xiu sat on the soft bed, looking at the books and quill pen that had fallen onto the bed, still feeling a bit dazed.

He checked his own condition.

There were no messy props on his body, nor the shijin that wouldn’t stop as if broken. He was perfectly fine.

Before Xiu could breathe a sigh of relief, he nearly choked again upon seeing clearly what he was wearing.

He was wearing two strips of cloth that were extremely characteristic of the dungeon.

Flesh bulged out from the strips, and there was absolutely no covering effect below; one could easily penetrate just by lifting the strip.

Xiu: “…”

If he remembered correctly, these seemed to be the clothes he wore last in the dungeon’s entertainment district.

Just then, the sound of the door opening came from the entrance.

Xiu subconsciously covered himself with the quilt. Looking up, he saw Wen Chu entering with a meal.

Wen Chu was surprised: “You’re awake?”

Without waiting for Xiu to ask, he placed the tray on the bedside table and actively explained, “I woke up about an hour earlier than you. The quill didn’t lie; I really don’t need to continue… with you to use my power.”

Wen Chu felt very guilty.

It was just that they had both transmigrated into that world physically. When Xiu returned, his appearance could be described as utterly miserable.

Without memories, Wen Chu had acted recklessly relying on the dungeon’s heaven-defying medical standards. There wasn’t a single intact spot on Xiu’s front or back.

In the end, he had healed him using his healing ability.

Xiu pursed his lips, feeling a bit awkward. “It’s good that things are back to normal… Are there any pajamas?”

Wen Chu pretended not to hear. He took out the soft, stewed porridge from the tray and stirred it to cool it down, mumbling at the same time, “I even went to find Alice. As expected, she was the one messing around as the subtitles.”

“She said the pen originally belonged to her, and when they were shorthanded, she was directly pulled in to help. She tricked me so many times, yet she had the nerve to complain to me that she was kept in a black room with a black screen because the system blocked everything except the beginning.”

Wen Chu angrily scooped a spoonful of porridge and held it to Xiu’s lips.

“So I chased her down and beat her up before coming back.”

Xiu: “…”

Not surprising at all.

If Wen Chu knew that Alice had also passionately filmed and broadcasted scenes of his conflicted sadness, Alice probably would have gotten beaten up again.

Xiu ate the porridge brought to his lips and brought up the most important matter at hand again: “Are there any pajamas?”

Wen Chu continued feeding the porridge, putting on a guilty and pitiful look: “I was so excessive; will you blame me?”

Xiu: “Paja…”

Wen Chu: “Also, do you know why I suddenly returned to normal?”

Xiu: “…”

Xiu understood now; Wen Chu had no intention of giving him clothes to wear.

Xiu refused the spoonful of porridge brought to his lips again, pinched Wen Chu’s cheek, and raised an eyebrow: “What bad intentions are you still hiding?”

Wen Chu looked aggrieved: “It hurts.”

Xiu scoffed at him: “Pretending.”

He didn’t use any force at all.

Having said that, Xiu still let go and answered Wen Chu’s question.

“I guess… it’s probably similar to what you said.”

“The first four worlds merged our powers too deeply. You alone couldn’t control our shared power. In this world, I came to capture you, was treated and helped by you, and I also merged with a part of you at the same time.”

“This way, the connection between us changed from a one-way valve from me to you into a two-way flow. Naturally, both of us can use the power freely.”

Wen Chu had guessed the same and was very satisfied. “Then we have no reason to be apart in the future.”

Not only did work require them to be a pair, but they also had to appear as a pair on all occasions.

Who told them to have exactly the same power? It would be intolerable by heaven’s law if they weren’t together.

Xiu took the porridge from Wen Chu’s hand, his long golden eyelashes lowering as he fell into deep thought.

“But I also need to reflect. Your subconscious belief that you could only use power when I was present was also a consequence of my overprotection.”

“It wasn’t until entering this world that I realized our Little Chu doesn’t seem to need my comprehensive protection to handle everything well.”

As Xiu spoke, he looked at him with a smile. “You realized it too, right?”

Wen Chu nodded.

From desperately trying to capture Xiu to being captured by Xiu.

The god who was once high above had walked down in front of him, letting him know that he was not an unreachable existence to him.

However—

Wen Chu added, “You can’t stop protecting me, or I’ll cry.”

Realizing that he didn’t completely need Xiu’s protection and wanting Xiu’s special care were two different things.

Xiu chuckled and nodded.

That was what he said, but that was also the rational way of putting it.

It was impossible for him to stop worrying about Wen Chu.

“So, can you give me back my pajamas now?”

Wen Chu changed the subject: “I also brought the puppy transformation pill out from the small world. Do you want to see me turn into a puppy?”

Xiu: “…”

Wen Chu: “Tonight is our wedding night.”

Xiu sighed and raised his hand to pat his head. “Forget it, up to you.”

No need to turn into a puppy.

He never had any way to deal with Wen Chu.
