Chapter 146: Draft ③

Xiu chuckled. “How many people have you met in total? Stop talking nonsense. If you keep saying that, I’m going to get annoyed with you.”

Wen Chu took it as a matter of course. “It doesn’t matter. You used to find me annoying, but you don’t anymore. So if I say I want to be your lover a few more times, you won’t be annoyed anymore after hearing it enough.”

“By the way, Xiu, can I sleep with you tonight…”

Xiu: “…”

He’s really pushing his luck.

Wen Chu wanted to say more, but he was hoisted up by Xiu.

It was that familiar sensation of his scalp tightening again. Wen Chu met Xiu’s gaze, which had turned cold once more.

“Don’t always try to take a mile when given an inch,” Xiu said. “I said I don’t hate you; I didn’t agree to become your lover, and it is certainly out of the question to take you to bed.”

The usual clinging and kissing could be explained away as saving the jellyfish, but sleeping together had absolutely no high-sounding justification.

On the first night, he had been bewitched by Wen Chu’s pitiful appearance. In a moment of soft-heartedness, he had agreed to let Wen Chu sleep with him.

The result was that he was thoroughly taken advantage of in his sleep.

Reflecting on this, Xiu realized that every time he went soft, not only would he be taken advantage of, but Wen Chu would also—intentionally or not—test his limits step by step.

After realizing this, looking at the soft and harmless jellyfish again, Xiu hardened his heart.

“Impossible,” he emphasized again.
