Chapter 112: Follow-up (Part 1)–Entanglement for Eternity

After healing Xiu in front of all the gods, the rumors and gossip collapsed on their own.

Wen Chu even received quite a few apologies and gifts because of this.

These gods had obviously inquired with Alice and others. The gifts sent to him were either delicacies scavenged from various places or various valuable gemstones.

Wen Chu: …

Actually, he really didn’t like gemstones that much. There was already a huge pile in the castle.

The kind that could fill up a pond if used for skipping stones.

But after all, it was a gesture of goodwill from everyone. If he didn’t accept them, these people might sleep with one eye open, afraid that Xiu would come to their door and kill them for reasons unknown. So Wen Chu thanked them one by one and accepted the gifts.

However, a small problem arose in the process.

His power had appeared briefly during the confrontation with Daisy. After accompanying Xiu to deal with the follow-up statement that night, the power disappeared again when he woke up the next day.

Wen Chu wasn’t too surprised. He already had a rough guess about his power. He immediately pulled the just-awakened Xiu over and kissed him.

Xiu was caught off guard and was suddenly pinned down and kissed by Wen Chu.

His body, having experienced four worlds, was incredibly familiar with Wen Chu.

With just a few moves, Xiu became aroused. A hazy flush spread across the corners of his stern eyes as he looked at Wen Chu with heavy breaths.

Wen Chu’s lips were also kissed red.

But his condition was clearly much better than Xiu’s. After kissing, he could still remember to test if his power had returned.

A soft white light appeared at Wen Chu’s fingertips again. The white light covered Xiu’s body, restoring all the reactions and marks caused just now to their original state.

Wen Chu was very excited: “I know how to control my power!”

Xiu, who had just gotten a reaction and was forcibly suppressed, sat up with a bitter smile: “I probably know too. Is it because of me?”

Wen Chu flapped his small wings happily: “Yes! In the last world, Juliana told me she discovered that our powers are completely opposite.”

Xiu raised his eyebrows slightly in surprise: “Oh?”

He really didn’t know about this.

Wen Chu continued: “When I met you, I was already very weak. I was only able to make it this far by constantly drawing power from you. Logically speaking, you shared your power with me just to sustain my life. But our powers are too similar, so I actually merged with your ability. Even today, most of the power I’ve accumulated comes from you.”

“It’s like you were unilaterally helping me with dual cultivation,” Wen Chu concluded.

Thinking of those ways of “helping with dual cultivation,” Xiu silently turned his head away and responded softly: “Mm.”

Wen Chu looked at his flushed ears and finished the last sentence while holding back laughter: “I can’t mobilize our fused power alone.”

Even if he didn’t say what came next, Xiu understood.

Because Wen Chu’s transparent tentacles had already climbed onto his waist.

Xiu pursed his lips, feeling more worried than ashamed: “I didn’t know it would turn out like this. Wait for me to find a solution?”

He had never intended for Wen Chu to become an existence that had to depend on him. The current situation completely exceeded Xiu’s expectations.

Wen Chu, on the other hand, was very happy. His dilemma was finally solved, and he could justify clinging to Xiu. It was completely a double blessing.

He leaned into Xiu’s embrace, wrapped his arms around the other’s neck, and moved close to his face with smiling eyes: “Don’t solve it. I like it this way.”

As he spoke, the tentacles had already lifted the hem of Xiu’s clothes and probed in, leaving trails of sticky wet marks on the other’s firm and lean waist and abdomen.

Xiu’s muscles tensed, and his ears grew redder: “…I’ll go tell Ville.”

Wen Chu watched as Xiu flusteredly took out his phone from his pocket to send a message. While acting spoiled and stirring up fire everywhere, he leaned over curiously to look at the phone.

Previously, to avoid suspicion, Xiu hadn’t even used electronic products at home.

The phone was similar to modern phones, but it had two modes: touch screen and projection. The light screen could be called out directly for use when it was inconvenient to hold the phone.

There wasn’t much on Xiu’s phone. Apart from basic built-in apps, there was only one chat app and one shopping app.

On the chat app, the chat with the most messages was a group chat with 99+ notifications. The total number of people was 48,291, and the group name was “Divine Realm General Group.”

Wen Chu was very curious: “When can I have a phone?”

Xiu breathed rapidly: “Wait until you pass the test… then you can apply… ugh… don’t move yet.”

Wen Chu’s tentacles had already probed inside.

Of course, Wen Chu wouldn’t listen to Xiu. Not only did he not listen, but he also leaned in to plant dense kisses on Xiu’s neck.

“Just sending a message means you won’t let me kiss you?” Wen Chu pretended to be aggrieved. “You just said yesterday that you would love me for a lifetime.”

Xiu: …

Xiu wanted to glare at this unreasonable guy, but having been teased like this first thing in the morning, his gaze turned directly into a pool of water.

This glare, instead of making Wen Chu stop while he was ahead, resulted in an extra tentacle behind him.

Xiu’s scalp went numb. Fearing he would be dragged away the next moment and unable to send the message, he could only barely pull his mind back to the phone.

At the same time.

Ville, who was drinking tea and eating breakfast in her office, received the message.

[Xiu Aflond: Sorry, Wen Chu had a bit of a fright. We won’t be dealing with the follow-up incidents today. Please follow up on it. Tomorrow I will normally lH@(SHQA!>iksh]

Ville paused in her tea-drinking motion.

Just then, there was a knock on the office door. An assistant walked in and said, “Guild Master, I’ve recorded the entire incident regarding Wen Chu yesterday and released it according to your request. Now many gods want to make an appointment to invite him for treatment, offering very high prices. What do you think…”

Ville silently put down her phone and held her teacup: “Let them wait for now. Wen Chu is very busy right now. It’s good to let them dry out for a few days to compare prices.”

Gods were not omniscient and omnipotent; otherwise, there wouldn’t be a need for so many gods to maintain the operation of the world, and many weaker ones wouldn’t be reduced to doing small businesses.

There were quite a few gods who completely lacked self-healing abilities. Although they wouldn’t die, they would drag their injuries into lifelong disabilities or scars.

It was even worse if they encountered powers that caused special damage. For example, the corrosive ability that injured Xiu yesterday. Without Wen Chu, the pain would likely have accompanied Xiu for life.

And those who could heal gods must be gods of the same level.

The vacancy of “New Life” left a blank in this aspect of the Divine Realm. Now that Wen Chu had appeared, this group of gods naturally rushed to make appointments.

The assistant understood: “Okay, I’ll go reply right away and compile a bidding list for you immediately.”

Ville nodded: “Mm, just send it to me first. Don’t go disturb Xiu.”

The assistant didn’t understand but still agreed: “Okay.”

So, on the second day Wen Chu and Xiu woke up, the first things they received were a doorway full of apology gifts and a bidding list sent by Ville.

Wen Chu was a bit sleepy at first, but his eyes lit up directly after seeing the content on the list.

To get him to act, the gods had gritted their teeth and brought out their treasured possessions.

Things like “a plot book capable of creating a small world,” “an hourglass that can change the flow of time at will,” “Divine Tea shop transfer agreement,” and so on.

Xiu walked over slowly in his pajamas and raised his eyebrows after seeing the content on the list.

“Interesting, right?” Wen Chu looked at Xiu with shining eyes.

Xiu: “You want them?”

Wen Chu nodded vigorously, palms pressed together: “I’ll use my power sparingly and find a solution as soon as possible so I won’t tire you out too much. Please.”

At this stage, using his power would definitely trouble Xiu. He had to seek Xiu’s permission before doing these things.

Xiu pursed his lips, his tone stiff: “Up to you.”

“Yay!” Wen Chu cheered up.

He unceremoniously took the list and all the apology gifts at the door into the house, chattering in Xiu’s ear: “Are these gems valuable in the Divine Realm? If I take the Divine Tea transfer agreement, can the annual dividends support you? Will I have a job in the future? By the way, are there any gods you hate in here? I won’t treat them…”

Xiu watched Wen Chu quietly, his gaze gentle.

“Wen Chu,” he spoke up.

Wen Chu thought Xiu was going to answer his questions and stopped to look at him.

Looking into Wen Chu’s round blue eyes, Xiu said softly: “Shall we get married?”

Wen Chu was stunned for a moment, then threw himself onto Xiu even more happily: “Okay! I’m going to make you a big ring!”

“It’s a pair of rings,” Xiu corrected patiently.

Wen Chu had already picked up Xiu’s hand to check his ring size, pausing when he saw the red mark on Xiu’s ring finger.

This was a mark he had desperately left on Xiu when he was still a little jellyfish.

Xiu also noticed his pause, followed his gaze, and said somewhat uncomfortably upon seeing his own ring finger: “It’s quite cute… so I kept it.”

Memories from the distant past overlapped with the present moment.

Those lost and bewildered times, the moments he desperately tried but couldn’t shed tears, the stumbling adjustments and arguments, eventually turned into an unravellable knot that bound him and Xiu tightly together.

If there was fate, then the red thread of destiny between him and Xiu seemed destined to be entangled like this.

Wen Chu lowered his head and kissed the back of Xiu’s hand.

“Xiu.” After kissing, Wen Chu cherished hooked his pinky finger with Xiu’s. “I have liked you very, very much since that time.”

Xiu gave a hum of acknowledgement: “I know.”

When the jellyfish’s slender tentacle hooked his pinky finger to make a pinky promise, they probably never thought that they would really be entangled like this for eternity.
