Chapter 58: Engorgement (Xiu)
With the System’s repeated promises, Xiu’s belly grew day by day.
Wen Chu had a good memory and learned everything after being taught once, including cooking.
In just one short month, he learned how to cook from Xiu. Xiu also reclaimed a vegetable patch around the small building and planted various vegetables.
The books Xiu prepared for him were comprehensive enough. Wen Chu even built a chicken coop following the steps in the book and was eager to try building a pigsty.
Occasionally, in the dead of night, Wen Chu would leave the West District shrouded in darkness to watch the changes outside.
Watching people head towards dead ends again and again.
Through the reversed time, he seemed to see how Xiu struggled again and again back then, finally returning to deathly silence.
For him, this was just a memory of Xiu, but for Xiu, it was indeed countless years of real time.
He stayed for so long that the System couldn’t help asking him: [Are you going to the next world or not?]
[Going.] Wen Chu said. [I want to survive to see Xiu, of course I’m going to the next world.]
System: [Then collect enough lifespan now, and I’ll take you…]
[No.] Wen Chu smiled with curved eyes. [I still have to wait for Xiu to finish laying the egg, see what exactly Xiu experienced, let him see my face clearly, and—my lifespan is only up to seventy years, it’s still early.]
Whether for psychological or physiological reasons, Xiu became increasingly sensitive after “carrying the egg.” If Wen Chu ate just a little bit, Xiu would soak a bedsheet.
While flowing, he would protect his belly, whimpering for him to be careful with the child.
Especially delicious.
It also made Wen Chu feel more and more that the child in Xiu’s belly was an eyesore.
With the egg present, Xiu rarely but firmly refused to let him f*ck. No matter how pitiful he acted, he could only get Xiu, with red ears, stammering to suggest solving it with his mouth.
Wen Chu, with teary eyes, f*cked the roots of Xiu’s thighs red until he could only take small steps for a whole week.
Then he closed his eyes and spouted nonsense to Xiu, saying that carrying the egg only took one month.
If he had to wait a year, he would rather not have the egg.
So, one month later, Xiu’s “due date” arrived as scheduled.
“Xiu, go back to bed and rest for a while first.” Wen Chu stopped Xiu, who habitually cleared the bowls after eating, speaking in a cheerful tone. “Today is the due date. I’ll help you deliver the baby in a while.”
Xiu’s long golden hair was combed neatly by Wen Chu. After repeated world regressions, the black energy on his body had also faded a lot.
Wen Chu could clearly see that Lord Evil God now looked exactly like a pregnant man carrying a baby for ten months, his belly rounded out by the mist.
Xiu nodded. The child was the most important thing after all. Supporting his belly, he lay back on the bed with Wen Chu’s help.
Carrying the egg wasn’t actually much of a burden for him. Wen Chu’s child was very well-behaved and almost never moved actively. His physical fitness was different from ordinary people, so apart from daily movements being a bit troublesome, it didn’t affect him much.
But Wen Chu was too nervous about him.
Xiu looked at the white figure washing dishes not far away.
He could now see clearer patches of color and see how Wen Chu sneaked out every night, only to come back and stare at him in a daze all night.
Is it nervousness about becoming a father for the first time?
Xiu guessed.
He looked down and touched his belly, thinking that actually Wen Chu didn’t need to be so nervous; he could take care of the child well by himself.
Coaxing to sleep, feeding, changing diapers… walking the human world for so many years, even if he had never experienced it, he had at least seen how others did it.
On the other side, the “new father” Wen Chu was making final confirmations with the System.
[Are you sure that after Xiu lays the egg, he won’t notice anything strange, won’t take care of other children, and in Xiu’s concept, the child can grow up and leave home in one day?] Wen Chu cautiously repeated the System’s words.
System: [Mn.]
Wen Chu: [If you lie to me, I will cry.]
System: […]
System: [I didn’t lie to you. The functions can definitely be realized.]
Wen Chu: [You’d better not.]
Muttering, Wen Chu dried his hands and simultaneously began to control the mist in Xiu’s stomach to move.
Xiu was lowering his eyes thinking about how to reassure Wen Chu when he suddenly felt the egg in his stomach start to jump. He said in panic, “Wen Chu!”
Wen Chu walked closer quickly, his voice anxious: “What’s wrong? Has it started?”
Xiu nodded.
Trying not to get too excited and arouse Xiu’s suspicion, Wen Chu pretended to be calm: “My egg is very easy to deliver. Don’t be afraid. I’ll help you expand the birth canal first.”
Xiu pursed his lips. Although he felt Wen Chu was still a child needing care, at this moment, he could only trust Wen Chu.
He almost obediently let Wen Chu elevate his waist, spreading his legs on the delivery bed frame made by Wen Chu, knees bent outward.
Completely defenseless, revealing everything to Wen Chu.
Clear, hard muscle lines could even be seen on Xiu’s arms, but his belly hung down softly. Strength and softness formed a holy yet grotesque combination on him.
A mass of black mist wrapped around him like this.
Confining his arms, expanding the birth canal that no one had visited for a long time for him.
First, a thumb-thick black mist, which began to grow continuously after being fed to Xiu.
“Mmph!” Xiu couldn’t help letting out a muffled groan.
He hadn’t mated with Wen Chu for a long time. Even if the mist contained water, such rapid expansion of the birth canal made him extremely uncomfortable.
The egg, which had been well-behaved for a month, also became rebellious at this time, rampaging in his stomach, grinding back and forth against the deepest part.
Wen Chu looked down at Xiu from above and said softly, “Xiu, if the egg is to be born, just using the water in my mist doesn’t seem to be enough. You have to work hard yourself too.”
Xiu opened his eyes blankly and looked at Wen Chu.
His eyes had no focus, completely f*cked dazed by Wen Chu’s black mist, not yet reacting to what Wen Chu said.
But he nodded in agreement subconsciously.
The next moment, he felt all the black energy on his body being devoured clean. His skin was instantly exposed to the air, and the egg in his stomach jumped even more vigorously.
“—”
Xiu opened his mouth but couldn’t even make a sound. Trembling, he wanted to close his legs, but was gently stopped by Wen Chu using black mist.
“The baby hasn’t come out yet.” Wen Chu said softly.
The black mist gently covered every inch of his skin.
Xiu convulsed, spurting from both front and back simultaneously.
Yet Wen Chu was still praising him: “So amazing. This way the egg can come out smoothly.”
Xiu was so ashamed he just wanted to shrink away, but the birth canal was still expanding continuously. The next moment, he was dragged into the sea of ups and downs by Wen Chu again.
If this continues… it will be… again…
In his trance, Xiu felt warmth on his chest.
He looked down and saw a white head buried in his body.
It was Wen Chu licking his nipples.
And then bit down.
“Ah!”
All nerves trembled at this moment. Xiu shuddered and lost it again.
Also at this moment, Wen Chu’s mist left. The black mist that had been disguising as an egg in his abdomen for a long time also slid out as he lost it.
Wen Chu reached out and absorbed the mist, then looked at Xiu.
Xiu’s body returned to its normal state, but his reason hadn’t returned yet. He lay weak all over on the bed, trembling occasionally, and spitting out intermittently.
Their sheets had to be changed several times a day. Today happened to be the sheet full of egg prints chosen by Wen Chu.
Xiu lay on the sheet he chose, surrounded by eggs, confined by him in the nest like this.
This realization made Wen Chu very excited.
Just as the obstructing egg was born, Wen Chu wanted to mate with Xiu on the delivery bed.
He didn’t wait for Xiu to calm down but entered Xiu amidst the aftershocks of Xiu’s trembling.
Xiu had just given birth to the egg. Wen Chu went smoothly without any obstruction and fed Xiu full.
Xiu was f*cked back to his senses.
He looked at Wen Chu in a trance, whimpering and curling up, struggling like never before, trying to reach out and grab the back of Wen Chu’s head.
Wen Chu frowned, thinking something was wrong with Xiu, and stopped immediately: “Xiu?”
Xiu didn’t answer, emitting short gasps, murmuring something, forcing his body that had just given birth to sit up.
His warm big hand finally touched the back of Wen Chu’s head.
Wen Chu only felt his head sink, and immediately he was pressed into Xiu’s chest.
“Engorgement… ” Xiu gasped in confusion, “Help me.”
Wen Chu: ?!?
“Wai—Mmph mmph mmph!” Wen Chu tried to speak, but as soon as he opened his mouth, he was fed a mouthful of milk by Xiu.
Holding Xiu’s nipple in his mouth, his expression was blank.
[What did you do?] Wen Chu asked the System.
System: [Just a normal postpartum reaction. He thinks he has milk and needs your help to solve it.]
The System took a snippet of the patch function’s introduction and projected it onto the screen before his eyes.
[After giving birth to the egg, he won’t notice anything strange, won’t take care of other children, and in the other party’s concept, the child can grow up and leave home in one day.]
Every condition was perfectly achieved.
It just didn’t say that Xiu would undergo other changes.
Wen Chu: […]
The System was troubled: [These functions require at least a little actual feeling at home. Sorry for the inconvenience.]
In its view, letting Wen Chu do this was a matter of compromising.
Wen Chu’s expression went from blank to shocked, and finally settled on pleasant surprise.
[I like this function.] He said happily.
System: [?]
The System watched helplessly as Wen Chu rubbed affectionately against Xiu, biting teeth marks on the other’s chest while saying softly, “Then what about the baby?”
Xiu was confused for a moment. “Didn’t the baby already go to sleep on the second floor?”
Still having engorgement after giving birth to the baby, this makes Xiu even more ashamed.
Xiu turned his head to the side, whispering to change the subject, “Don’t you hate it most when I call him baby, allowing me to only call you baby?”
Wen Chu was stunned by being called baby.
He was called baby by Xiu.
Not calling the egg, but calling him. He was Xiu’s baby.
“Yes, I hate you calling him that.” Wen Chu smiled with curved eyes.
While eating, he also continued to mate with Xiu. Xiu trembled all over from the mating, whimpering and biting the back of his hand. “Wait—feed the milk first.”
“I am eating.” Wen Chu whispered in Xiu’s ear, “Xiu, carry a second egg for me.”
Xiu was too shocked to speak, and feeling uncomfortable from engorgement, he could only hug Wen Chu’s head tightly to feed him.
Wen Chu was completely buried in Xiu’s embrace.
Xiu’s embrace was broad, holding him firmly. The warm body temperature wrapped around him in such a hug.
As if he was really born by Xiu.
Such a sweet dream, even knowing it was a lie, Wen Chu couldn’t help wanting to prolong it.
“Xiu, let’s keep laying eggs in the future, okay? I will always take care of you.”
Xiu widened his eyes, curling his toes helplessly, losing consciousness completely for the first time.
…
When he woke up again, it was late at night.
Xiu was woken up by being f*cked again. He was blank for a while before realizing what was happening. Hugging Wen Chu, he said intermittently, “Wait… wait, the baby… is…”
“The baby has grown up and left home alone, did you forget?” Wen Chu said softly.
He knew clearly that if Xiu’s vision recovered, he would be angry because of such cruel teasing.
But he really couldn’t control his recklessly growing dark thoughts.
He stroked Xiu’s face. “Don’t call others baby. I will be sad.”
Xiu should call him baby.
He is Xiu’s baby.
Wen Chu withdrew, touching Xiu’s slightly bulging lower abdomen again, his voice light and sweet: “Now we have a second child.”
A trace of confusion flashed across Xiu’s expression, but he then accepted this statement smoothly.
He stroked his lower abdomen. “Yes, the second child.”
Wen Chu stopped talking, gently placing dense kisses on Xiu’s lower abdomen.
…Just one more time.
Just the last time.
This time laying the egg, he will definitely be gentle, very gentle, not letting Xiu faint again and waste so much time.
Being cared for by Xiu wholeheartedly like this, being hugged tightly by Xiu.
Even if it was a dream for only one day, he couldn’t help sinking into it.
This was what he had been pursuing.
To become a special existence in Xiu’s eyes, an existence more important than the world in Xiu’s heart.
To become Xiu’s only one.
.
Time flew by.
Xiu felt his life was peaceful and happy.
As the layers of world resets unraveled, his vision became clearer and clearer, and he and Wen Chu conceived four children.
Although he didn’t know why a male would get pregnant, since it was Wen Chu’s child, Xiu would raise it with all his heart.
Every child was exceptionally worry-free, and Wen Chu surprisingly rarely threw tantrums.
It was just that after each birth, he would have engorgement for a long time and had to ask for Wen Chu’s help.
At first, Xiu was a bit ashamed, but after raising many children and being an old married couple, he got used to it.
It was just that he was still too embarrassed to make a sound.
The frequency of them having children wasn’t high either.
The first two children came one after another. The latter two children were conceived more than thirty years apart. During this period, he and Wen Chu cleared the wasteland around the stone tower and created a beautiful and exquisite small estate.
Outside the stone tower, the sun was shining brightly. Wen Chu held his arm, supporting him for a walk. Everything looked very peaceful.
But with his increasingly clear vision, Xiu could clearly see the sunlight only cast around the stone tower for a hundred meters.
And beyond that, black thick fog stretched endlessly.
“Ninety-Eighth Year, Winter Snow Arrives…”
The black energy on Xiu’s body faded to almost invisible. At the same time, he and Wen Chu had their fifth child.
Wen Chu had been extremely nervous these days. Sometimes while cooking, he would suddenly run over and ask him if he could see clearly.
Xiu looked at the last layer of faint mist covering his eyes and shook his head. “Can’t see. Might have to wait a few more years to see clearly.”
Actually, he estimated he could see clearly by the ninety-ninth year.
Wen Chu had always cared about these anniversaries. He wanted to give Wen Chu a surprise in the ninety-ninth year.
Hearing this, Wen Chu looked lost, staring blankly at the thin black energy on his body, murmuring things Xiu couldn’t understand like “It’s too late,” “If I don’t collect enough soon, the detachment will fail.”
He began to frequently ask Xiu to touch his face.
“These are my eyes. My eyes are round, eyelashes are white. This is my nose. My nose is relatively small. My chin is pointed…”
Wen Chu sat with Xiu on the bamboo double recliner in the backyard, holding Xiu’s hand and rambling.
It was rare to have such bright sunlight in winter. The fragmented sunlight shrouded Wen Chu. Even if Xiu couldn’t see clearly, he could roughly outline what a tranquil picture this was.
Wen Chu held Xiu’s hand and concluded:
“You have to remember me. I am very beautiful, very good, and can take care of you. You have to like me.”
Acting spoiled again.
Xiu smiled gently. “Okay, I will remember you.”
Wen Chu’s egg only took one month to carry. By now, he was showing very obviously. Normal clothes didn’t fit, so Xiu was still wearing the loose black robe from back then.
Mother hens clucked past, digging the snow with their claws, turning up grass seeds to peck.
Outside the courtyard was eternal night.
Just then.
“Ah—”
A clear girl’s scream rang out, breaking the superficial peace of nearly a hundred years.
Xiu wondered, “Who?”
Wen Chu was focused on letting Xiu touch his face and didn’t notice the intruder for a moment. He frowned irritably and stood up. “I’ll go take a look.”
Xiu fumbled to stand up. “I’ll go with you. Be careful of danger.”
Wen Chu glanced at the belly under Xiu’s black robe. Ultimately worried about leaving Xiu alone, he supported Xiu, walking toward the courtyard gate with one deep and one shallow step.
Outside the courtyard was darkness.
Wen Chu stopped with Xiu before the last inch of land touched by sunlight.
He saw the familiar red-haired girl with her leg caught in the bear trap he had placed in front of the door.
It was Minnie when she was a child.
Worried that Minnie would mention the eternal night outside, Wen Chu said coldly and quickly, “Pry open the bear trap and come over yourself. I’ll heal you, then you leave my home immediately. I only give you three seconds.”
Minnie looked at the sunny small courtyard in front of her in astonishment.
Why is there sun here?
Since she was born, hasn’t this world been dark?
She couldn’t help asking aloud, “Why…”
Wen Chu: “3, 2—”
Minnie shut up instantly, crawled to Wen Chu’s door, and with force, pried open the bear trap on her leg.
Her calf instantly bled profusely.
Smelling blood, Xiu frowned.
Wen Chu: “Arm.”
Minnie still couldn’t figure out the situation. She purely felt by intuition that Wen Chu was very dangerous. She obediently extended her arm, not forgetting to say, “My wound is on my leg… Eh?!”
Minnie widened her eyes, looking in astonishment at her thigh, which recovered quickly after Wen Chu extended a finger and tapped her arm.
Not only her thigh, she felt like her whole person had been thoroughly healed. All old injuries and hidden ailments disappeared.
Minnie’s gaze instantly became reverent. “Hello, are you a hermit expert? Are you interested in joining our exploration team? I can pay you a very high salary.”
Wen Chu took Xiu’s hand and walked back. “No need. You already gave it to me.”
Minnie: ?
Minnie didn’t understand. She wanted to strive for it, but the surrounding thick fog didn’t give her this chance, lifting her up and flying, dumping her at the gate of the main urban area in a moment.
Minnie was dizzy from the fall. Just as she held the wall to climb up, she met Claude’s mocking gaze. “Didn’t you say you wanted to set off early by yourself? Why are you still lying at the gate?”
Minnie raged, “What do you know? I set off last night, and went toward the West District where the fog is thickest. I saw there—”
Her words came to an abrupt halt.
Was such a magical experience really real?
“Brother, Sister Minnie, your breathing masks.” James chased up panting, holding three breathing masks. “Catherine and Dorothy said you came out without breakfast. I guessed you were going to work overtime out of the city for tasks again. Take me with you.”
Minnie crossed her arms. “Just you? So weak, better stay home and teach Catherine and the others to read.”
In the first year after the world reset, black fog shrouded the world. The first batch of adventurers, centered on the main urban area, broke through the darkness and gradually explored outward. This was also called the “Dark Exploration Era.”
West District, amidst the thick fog.
After dinner at nightfall, Wen Chu combed Xiu’s hair at home while looking at the black energy on Xiu’s body, which was so thin it was almost nonexistent, chatting with Xiu.
“Time has returned to normal this year,” Xiu lamented casually. “It seems this world has finally stepped onto the right track.”
Wen Chu lowered his eyes. “Mn, after all, it’s been almost ninety-nine years.”
Today was already November 29th.
His lifespan was stuck dead at 98 years and 364 days. If he didn’t eat the black energy on Xiu’s body by tomorrow, he wouldn’t be able to leave.
But Xiu still hadn’t seen him.
Wen Chu was unwilling but could only accept his fate. He hugged Xiu’s arm aggrievedly, controlling the black mist in Xiu’s stomach to move.
Xiu was leaning halfway, letting Wen Chu play with his hair. Feeling the abnormality in his belly, he suddenly pursed his lips and covered his stomach. “The baby moved.”
“It should be about to be born,” Wen Chu said softly. “I’ll help you deliver it.”
The last day.
In these ninety-nine years, he controlled himself very well, only letting Xiu carry the egg two more times.
Worrying about Xiu’s body was one aspect. On the other hand, he was afraid that if he heard Xiu call him baby a few more times, he might really sink into this world.
Even death didn’t matter, as long as Xiu was willing to treat him as a baby.
But this wouldn’t do.
The illusory mist was fake after all. He had sunk for ninety-eight years; he had to break through the miasma and move forward.
Just thinking that he might have to face Xiu abandoning him for the world again in the next world, Wen Chu couldn’t help feeling sad.
So, the last day of ninety-nine years.
Let him sink for the last time.
As long as Xiu hugged him gently one more time, he would have the courage to continue moving forward.
Xiu didn’t know what kind of thoughts Wen Chu held. This was already the fifth child. Xiu skillfully put himself in the most suitable posture for laying eggs.
Expanding the birth canal, spurting water, the carried egg sliding out naturally.
Xiu was already very familiar with this process. After doing it all, apart from exhaustion, he didn’t have many feelings.
He subconsciously fumbled to the side, looking for Wen Chu. “Engorged…”
Wen Chu came over consciously.
The child was healthy as always, grew up as soon as it was born, and moved to the second floor to sleep.
The first four children left home one after another. After going round and round, only he and Wen Chu were left in this home.
Xiu patted Wen Chu’s white hair helplessly, somewhat puzzled why the children were never willing to come back and visit.
“Eat slowly. After you finish, I’ll go see the child,” Xiu said softly.
“Ignore him.” Wen Chu felt aggrieved. “Didn’t we agree that I am your baby?”
The clock on the wall struck twelve.
The world suddenly became clear.
Xiu was in a good mood. Ninety-nine years, the fifth baby was born, and he happened to recover his vision. He wanted to confess to Wen Chu: “Wen Chu, I…”
But the next moment, Xiu keenly discovered something was wrong.
There was no trace of another child living or growing on the second floor, nor any supplies for a third person at home. On the contrary, everything was in pairs, which was far from his memory.
The person buried in his arms raised his head, revealing an exquisitely beautiful face.
The corners of his eyes were red, teardrops still hanging on his eyelashes. He sniffled chokingly several times and buried himself back again.
But this quick glance had allowed Xiu to see the person’s appearance clearly.
White hair, very round eyes, pointed chin, exactly the same as the face he had touched countless times.
But where was the child?
Looking at Wen Chu who was constantly eating him, Xiu asked in confusion, “Wen Chu, why is there no one on the second floor?”
Wen Chu froze in place.
