CFFIL CH70
In the bathroom, Fang Chen washed the little sheep with a straight face, then blew its fur into a beautiful style again. The grey wolf lay beside them the entire time, its gaze never leaving the little sheep. And next to it, Seth stood quietly, watching Fang Chen.
A perfect family of four.
Putting down the comb, Fang Chen looked helplessly at the man and wolf before him. Although the bathroom was large, it wasn’t so big that they all had to squeeze in.
“Can’t you wait outside?” What was so interesting about watching him wash a little sheep?
The grey wolf pretended not to hear, its ears deliberately flattened back.
Seth paused. “My spirit guide is here.”
Fang Chen: “…” What a clumsy excuse. Didn’t he lock his spirit guide in the bedroom by itself yesterday?
The grey wolf didn’t even bother to look at him. The man and wolf were mutually disgusted with each other, but for the sake of the person and sheep before them, they had formed a short-term strategic alliance.
Fang Chen could only turn his head and pretend not to see them. After grooming the little sheep until it was pretty, fragrant, and white again, Fang Chen satisfyingly put it down. The next second, the little sheep trotted over to the grey wolf. The wolf circled the little sheep in its embrace, lowered its head, and licked it with a natural movement.
Lick… lick…
Fang Chen’s vision went black. All that washing was for nothing.
Seth walked over with an amused smile, taking the opportunity to take the little sheep’s hand. With a rare bit of conscience, he spoke up for his spirit guide, “Don’t mind him. Do you want to go see the stars?”
Fang Chen was stunned for a moment. “See the stars?”
“You’ve slept for a whole day. You shouldn’t be sleepy anymore.” Seth smiled at him. “Come with me.”
Who would think of going out to see the stars at night? A love-struck fool would.
On the top floor of the villa, there was a rooftop terrace. Today, while Fang Chen was sleeping, Seth had instructed the butler to set it up in advance. There were two very comfortable soft chairs, covered with soft little blankets. Next to them was a snack rack with juice and various snacks.
Seth came from a military background, and the training he had received over the years in the army had made his posture, whether standing or sitting, impeccable. He used to look down on those lazy, slouching second-generation rich kids. But now, with Fang Chen in front of him, shoeless and half-reclining in the soft chair, curled up like a glutinous rice ball, Seth only felt his heart melt, wishing he could roll Fang Chen into a ball and swallow him whole.
He even somewhat understood why the grey wolf liked to lick the little sheep so much. Love is possession. Just like now, although he was politely sitting in another chair, his gaze on Fang Chen was so intense he wished he could strip him bare and brand him all over with his own mark.
Fang Chen was originally looking up at the stars, but the man’s gaze was so substantial it was impossible to ignore. He couldn’t help but ask, “Is there something on my face?”
Seth coughed slightly and looked away.
“Or is there something you want to say to me?”
There was indeed one thing. “I’ve torn up that damn agreement. You should tear yours up too.”
Fang Chen was surprised. “Why?”
“It’s hindering the development of our feelings.”
Fang Chen shot up straight. “What?”
Seth took the opportunity to sit closer. He actually wanted to pull him into his arms, but afraid of making Fang Chen uncomfortable, he could only restrain himself. “I feel that my attitude towards this marriage was not serious before. I’ve reflected on it carefully. Fang Chen, baby, forget those unpleasant things. I want to be with you for real.”
Fang Chen was dumbfounded. His lips moved, and after a long time, he managed to squeeze out a sentence, “Do you want to sleep with me?”
Seth’s face turned green and then white. Finally, he squeezed out two words through gritted teeth, “I don’t.” After saying it, he regretted it and quickly explained, “It’s not that I don’t want to, but that’s not the reason. I really like you.” It wasn’t just for sex; it was because he liked him that he had physical urges.
Fang Chen pursed his lips and finally asked in a small voice, “Are we still looking at the stars?”
Seth’s body stiffened slightly. His heart felt like it had been plunged into cold water. Fang Chen was avoiding his question. The man’s throat tightened, and he gave a low “mm,” silently returning to his seat.
He knew in his heart that he couldn’t blame Fang Chen. After all, in a sense, they had just met. A marriage certificate from the Tower didn’t prove anything. But Seth still couldn’t help but feel a little frustrated. He felt like he had skin hunger; whenever he saw Fang Chen, he wanted to hug him, to kiss him.
What was supposed to be a nice stargazing trip ended with both of them silent on the way back. Especially when he saw the grey wolf hugging the little sheep in the living room, Seth felt even more frustrated. His progress was even slower than his spirit guide’s.
The grey wolf looked at him with a hint of irony. It was unclear if it was intentional, but in front of Seth, it lowered its head and touched the little sheep with its nose. The little sheep was very affectionate with him now and stretched out its small pink tongue to lick back.
Seth gritted his teeth resentfully.
In the few seconds he paused, Fang Chen didn’t wait for him and went straight back to the room. Seth quickly followed. If it had been yesterday, Fang Chen wouldn’t have had this attitude. But as the saying goes, those who are loved are fearless. Fang Chen was like a cat testing with its claws, scratching here and there to see where Seth’s bottom line was.
Seeing Seth follow him in, Fang Chen looked back at him and said deliberately, “I’m going to change my clothes.”
“…” Seeing the man just stand there, he asked again, “Do you want to watch?”
Seth swallowed hard, his eyes practically glued to him. “I won’t watch. You can change. I’ll close my eyes.”
Who would believe that? Believe he’d close his eyes, or believe the little sheep was the king of the grasslands?
But Fang Chen tilted his head. “You can watch, but you have to agree to one condition.”
To bring up a condition at a time like this—let alone one, even if he were asked to go wipe out a squadron with a submachine gun right now, Seth would have no problem.
“I want to draw a comic. Be my model.” Fang Chen gathered his courage and spoke.
Seth didn’t even think. “Okay!” He paused, then came to his senses. “Is it the kind where I have to take off my clothes?”
Fang Chen’s face reddened, and he nodded slightly.
Seth’s heart felt a little heavy. Did that mean Fang Chen had seen other people’s bodies before? But he didn’t dare to show his displeasure, afraid Fang Chen would think he was petty. Once Fang Chen saw his, he would know that no one else’s could compare.
Seeing Seth agree, Fang Chen also kept his promise. It was just changing clothes, after all. No big deal. The young man began to take off his clothes one by one. Seth was frozen on the spot, almost forgetting how to breathe.
Fang Chen was still a little shy and had his back to him. When he took off his shirt, a small section of his fair, delicate back was revealed, and Seth couldn’t even blink.
It was probably the fastest Fang Chen had ever changed in his life. He felt as if a wolf was standing behind him, staring at him. He hurriedly finished changing, a little afraid Seth would say he was cheating. But when he turned around, he froze. “You… why is your nose bleeding…”
Another chaotic scene ensued. Seth had never been so embarrassed in his life. He had shed blood all over the battlefield without a second thought, but now, just a little nosebleed had him ordered by Fang Chen not to move, to lie obediently in bed with a cotton ball stuffed in his nose.
“I need to check your mental landscape again. Is something wrong? Why didn’t you tell me if you were feeling unwell?”
It was hard for Seth to say. He wasn’t unwell. He was just… too excited. But saying that would be even more embarrassing. The man weighed his options for a moment and said thoughtfully, “It might be an old injury from the battlefield. It’s fine now.”
Hearing this, Fang Chen became even more anxious. An old injury flaring up now! It must be very serious. He leaned in closer. His clothes, which he had put on in a hurry, weren’t properly buttoned at the top. This posture allowed Seth, with just a slight lowering of his eyes, to see everything clearly. Like a cream cake with two beautiful red cherries on top.
Seth clutched his nose, feeling the blood was about to soak through the cotton.
Fang Chen didn’t pay any attention to this. He was anxious to enter Seth’s mental sea. With such a serious injury, it must be a storm of lightning and thunder inside, pitch black.
But when he saw it, Fang Chen was dumbfounded. He saw a wave rolling in, followed by another. So wild.
Fang Chen was silent.
After withdrawing from the mental landscape, he narrowed his eyes and carefully examined Seth. The man looked away, his voice muffled. “I’m fine now.”
Fang Chen had already guessed what had happened. He snorted and cursed in a low voice, “Pervert.”
Seth immediately retorted, “I’m not.” Meeting Fang Chen’s gaze, his voice softened. “What’s wrong with looking at my own wife?”
Wife…???
Those two words came out of Seth’s mouth so naturally. Fang Chen’s face instantly turned red. He stood up in a fluster. “Why are you calling me that?”
Seth, on the other hand, became righteous. “We’re already registered. Why can’t I call you that?”
Fang Chen’s ears were so red they were about to drip blood. “You just can’t!” He was both shy and angry. He grabbed his pillow and was about to leave. “I’m going to sleep in the guest room.” He only remembered when he reached the door. “Oh, you said the guest room is toxic.”
Fang Chen looked up at Seth. “Then you go sleep there.”
“…”
The little sheep was already asleep. The grey wolf’s tail was still draped over it, holding the little sheep under its body in an extremely possessive manner. The wolf’s head rested next to the little sheep’s, so that its every breath could be heard.
A loud slam of a door came from upstairs. The long, narrow wolf eyes flashed with impatience. He subconsciously put a paw over the little sheep’s ears. Fortunately, the little sheep was sleeping soundly and was not woken up. The grey wolf looked coldly as Seth came down with a pillow. Hah. Useless. Can’t even handle his own wife.
Seth also looked coldly at the grey wolf. He stood for a moment, then narrowed his eyes. He really couldn’t stand seeing this wolf so carefree. Forget it. The little sheep was Fang Chen. In a sense, he was also holding him. The man tried his best to console himself.
There were many empty rooms in the villa. After learning that Fang Chen liked to draw, Seth had the butler specially clear out a room for him to use as a studio.
Seth was not as shy as Fang Chen when it came to taking off his clothes. Far from turning his back, he wished he could strip right in front of Fang Chen. After what happened last night, the man was now eager to show himself off. It was unclear what time he had gotten up to exercise this morning, but Fang Chen felt his chest muscles were even bigger than the last time he saw them.
Picking up his sketchbook, Fang Chen immediately became professional, his mind clear of all those messy thoughts. The room was very quiet, with only the rustling sound of the pencil tip on the paper.
Seth held his breath in his chest. Just drawing? No touching? No admiring? He felt like he was casting a coquettish glance at a blind man. Not to mention, Fang Chen put away his pencil after less than ten minutes.
Seth frowned. “Finished? Doesn’t it take a few hours?”
Fang Chen said helplessly, “I’m drawing a comic, so I only need the general proportions and structure. If it were a detailed human body sketch, it would take a long time.” He paused, then added dryly, “Hurry up and put your clothes on.”
Seth was very disappointed. Why didn’t my wife look a little longer? He silently put his clothes on, then heard Fang Chen speak softly, “I have something to tell you.”
Seth said casually, “What is it?”
“My aunt and uncle said I’ve been married for a few days and want us to go over for a meal. I don’t know if you’re free.”
Seth frowned slightly. Before getting married, he had habitually had someone investigate Fang Chen’s entire background, so he naturally knew that the young man had a hard life living under someone else’s roof. Thinking of this, a dense pain spread through Seth’s heart. He didn’t ask much, just said softly, “I’m free. I’ll go with you.”
Fang Chen felt a small sense of relief in his heart. He didn’t actually want to go back to his aunt’s house, but he had no suitable reason to refuse. If Seth could go with him… it seemed like he would feel very safe. He subconsciously felt that Seth would protect him.
It was strange. He had only known the man for two days. Why did he subconsciously rely on him? Fang Chen bit his lip.
That evening, the two went to his aunt’s house together. His uncle ran a new energy company, but business was not good, and it was on the verge of bankruptcy. This time, they had managed to secure an investment from the Bolton family by “selling” Fang Chen.
His cousin had disliked Fang Chen since they were young, feeling that if it weren’t for Fang Chen sharing his allowance, he could have bought more expensive sneakers and game consoles. In fact, if his family hadn’t taken Fang Chen’s parents’ insurance money, he probably wouldn’t even be able to afford the sneakers he had now.
While waiting in the dining room, looking at her son’s disdainful expression, Aunt Fang said irritably, “Behave yourself later. Seth is not someone you can afford to offend. And be polite to Fang Chen too.”
The cousin sneered, “Seth would be interested in him? He’s just using him as a tool.” But he was also very surprised. In his opinion, Seth wouldn’t even accompany Fang Chen over. It should have been Fang Chen coming alone.
But after a few minutes, the door was pushed open, and the two walked in together.
Seeing them, Aunt Fang was stunned for a moment. It had only been a few days, but Fang Chen seemed like a different person. He didn’t have his former silent and timid appearance. He was wearing a blue suit that made his complexion look very good. Aunt Fang recognized it at a glance as the latest model from C brand.
Tonight was ostensibly to see Fang Chen, but in reality, it was just to get close to Seth. His uncle had even invited many business partners. This was a very disrespectful act towards Fang Chen, but everyone seemed to be used to it. Before doing anything, no one ever considered Fang Chen.
After Seth walked in, everyone in the room stood up. The man glanced around, his expression cold. He walked to the main seat that had been left for him, pulled out the chair, turned slightly, and said gently to Fang Chen, “Baby, sit.”
The people next to him were all stunned. Wasn’t it a marriage of convenience? Wasn’t it in name only?
Fang Chen was a little embarrassed. He was used to being ignored. With so many eyes on him, he was really uncomfortable. He gently tugged on the corner of Seth’s shirt. The man pretended not to see. He didn’t care what others thought. He was here to back up Fang Chen.
Not long after they sat down, someone came to propose a toast. Seth only drank the first few glasses out of courtesy and then stopped drinking. He didn’t talk much either, just took care of Fang Chen’s meal. Fang Chen didn’t even need to get his own food. Whichever dish his eyes landed on, Seth would pick it up and put it on his plate. If it was shrimp, he would peel it; if it was fish, he would debone it.
This was not a loveless relationship. This was clearly holding someone on the tip of his heart. Aunt Fang’s smile was almost frozen on her face. Normally, if Fang Chen and Seth had a good relationship, she should be happy. Her own family could also benefit. But over the years, their treatment of Fang Chen…
After dinner, as everyone was leaving, Seth stood up, helped Fang Chen put on his coat, and gently patted his arm. “Baby, wait for me outside for a moment.”
Fang Chen blinked and said, “Oh.”
Not knowing what Seth wanted to say to his aunt and uncle, Fang Chen waited alone in the corridor. But soon, the man pushed the door open and came out. “Getting impatient? Let’s go home.”
Fang Chen shook his head.
Seth naturally took his hand, and the two walked out slowly. The driver was already waiting at the door. Fang Chen held it in, but couldn’t help but ask, “What did you say to them?” It couldn’t have been about business.
Seth glanced at him. “It’s not important. In short, they won’t bother you again.”
Now that he said that, Fang Chen was even more curious. He tugged on Seth’s arm and asked, “What did you say?”
Seth deliberately pondered for a moment. “Can I sleep in the room tonight?”
“…You can.”
“Then I won’t tell you.”
Fang Chen glared at him. “Then you can still sleep on the sofa.”
Being glared at by the young man with such feigned anger, Seth felt all his bones soften. He squeezed Fang Chen’s palm lightly. “Okay, as long as you ask me to. Let alone the sofa, I’d even sleep on a pile of fire.”
What nonsense! Fang Chen pushed him. The young man had no strength; even his push was soft.
The aunt and uncle’s family had deliberately tried to please them, so the restaurant was not far from the villa. Seth looked at the car waiting in front and suddenly said, “How about I carry you back?”
Fang Chen was stunned. “Huh?”
The man didn’t waste any more words and simply half-knelt in front of Fang Chen. Fang Chen hesitated for a moment, feeling it wasn’t appropriate, but he couldn’t resist the temptation and obediently climbed on, hugging Seth’s neck tightly.
Seth held the base of his thighs and steadily carried him on his back. Because his parents had died early, in his memory, his father had also carried him like this when he was very young.
The road was neither long nor short, but Seth carried Fang Chen, every step steady. He even wished this road was a little longer, so he could carry Fang Chen forever, and Fang Chen could rely on him forever.
The two actually walked back just like that. To be precise, it was Seth carrying Fang Chen back. Because the man’s steps were very steady, without any bumps, Fang Chen was already drowsy, hugging his neck. As for the driver, he just followed behind in the car. The driver sighed. Maybe this was the romance of the rich. They had a car but didn’t use it, had a driver but didn’t need him, and insisted on walking back.
When they returned to the villa, he saw the grey wolf making mango pits again. Seth quickly changed direction, afraid Fang Chen would see this stimulating scene. Fortunately, Fang Chen was sleepy and didn’t even look up. Seth quickened his pace upstairs.
Looking at their backs, the grey wolf lazily raised its eyes, then looked away again, concentrating on licking a fashionable hairstyle for the little sheep. The little sheep had never had any friends and was used to clinging to Fang Chen every day. The grey wolf was its first companion, but this companion’s intentions were not so pure. At first, it was just licking fur, but as it licked, it went further down. The little sheep had no experience in this area and, almost instinctively, kicked out with its hind legs, right in the grey wolf’s face.
The force was probably really strong, because Seth even felt it. He let out a soft “hiss.” Fang Chen asked him what was wrong, and the man snorted with laughter. “Serves him right.”
“…” So weird.
After a long day, Fang Chen went to take a shower. He had just stepped into the bathroom when the man followed him in. He saw Fang Chen and even pretended to be surprised. “Baby, you’re here too. Then let’s wash together.”
Fang Chen: “…” His acting was really bad. But he didn’t want to refuse Seth. Instead, he hesitated for a moment, then deliberately leaned closer and said softly, “Wash my hair for me.” His voice was soft, sounding like he was acting spoiled.
This was already a rare thing for Fang Chen. Because of the early loss of his parents’ love, Fang Chen had never acted spoiled with anyone, nor had there been anyone for him to act spoiled with. But now it was different. Fang Chen looked at Seth in front of him, and subconsciously felt that this person would tolerate everything about him.
When he heard Fang Chen’s words, Seth felt as if his heart was filled with cotton, full to the brim. He lowered his head slightly and couldn’t help but touch his lips to Fang Chen’s forehead, a light kiss that seemed incredibly precious in the bathroom.
The water rushed. Seth gently washed Fang Chen’s hair. The black hair was especially soft in his palm. He didn’t even dare to use any force and had to gently massage Fang Chen’s scalp with his fingertips. In the end, Fang Chen got a little impatient and urged, “Is it done yet? Hurry up and rinse it.”
Seth could only reluctantly turn on the shower to rinse Fang Chen’s hair. The shower took almost an hour. By the time he tucked him into bed, Fang Chen’s face was flushed from the heat. Seth felt both heartache and regret. Next time, no matter how reluctant he was, he couldn’t wash for so long.
He took another set of bedding from the closet. Who knew that Fang Chen would suddenly speak, “Isn’t this blanket big enough? Why get another one?”
Seth froze and looked back at him. The room was lit with a dim yellow light. His dried hair hung softly on his forehead, making the young man look very obedient. He curved his eyes at Seth and patted the spot next to him.
“Come to bed, hubby.”
