Gu Yuanting looked up at the dessert shop before him, the “Yi Ting Desserts” sign shimmering brightly in the sunlight.

He didn’t know why he had come here, but since he was passing by, he might as well check out the shop that the original owner and Su Yiran had opened.

He entered the shop and saw that more than half of the booth area was already occupied. A few customers were wandering around the display cases with plates, and there was a queue at the counter to place orders. It seemed business was good on the first day.

Su Yiran was preparing a taro sago dessert for a customer when he suddenly heard a few supposedly subtle gasps from the booth area near the counter, coming from the first group of girls who had entered the shop. He instinctively looked up and immediately saw Gu Yuanting standing by the entrance.

Gu Yuanting was tall with long legs, wearing a thin black trench coat, looking cool, handsome, and stern. He stood out in the crowd like a crane among chickens, very conspicuous.

Su Yiran was especially surprised, but because there were still customers in front of him, he restrained himself from calling out to him, focusing on the customers first.

Gu Yuanting stood aside, surveying the small shop. It was a mid-range shop, with white and light green as its main colors. The overall decor was simple and fresh, with elegant flowers adorning the space.

The shop was not large; besides the counter area and display cases, there were only a dozen or so booths, and a small functional area.

Su Yiran finished taking orders from the customers in line and asked them to wait in the booth area.

When the counter was clear, he jogged over to Gu Yuanting, his eyes sparkling as he looked at him: “Ting Ge.”

He smiled, revealing the faint dimple on his right cheek: “I thought you really weren’t coming.”

Yesterday, Gu Yuanting had said he wouldn’t come, so he had already prepared himself.

Gu Yuanting looked down at him, his tone flat: “Just came to take a look.”

Su Yiran took Gu Yuanting’s hand, clasping their fingers together, and led him towards the back of the counter.

…Then Su Yiran heard a louder commotion from the nearby table of girls.

“…” Su Yiran coughed, feeling very embarrassed. He led Ting Ge to the back of the shop.

He asked Gu Yuanting: “Are you leaving later? Are you still busy with work?”

Gu Yuanting looked at their intertwined fingers, then pulled his hand away: “Busy.”

Su Yiran thought Ting Ge was playing a prank on him. He grabbed Gu Yuanting’s hand again, interweaving their fingers tightly once more: “So, are you leaving later or after lunch?”

Gu Yuanting: “…”

He looked at their hands again, then made no further movement, “I’ll leave soon.”

Though disappointed, Su Yiran understood. Ting Ge was so busy, yet he still made time to come over, which touched him deeply.

He was about to say something when he suddenly heard Xiaowen’s voice from outside the back room: “Boss, customer order!”

He quickly responded and hurried to the front counter to make desserts for the customer.

The customer ordered a honeydew melon milkshake and an Oreo cup. Su Yiran started making the Oreo cup and saw Gu Yuanting follow him out from the back. He casually instructed him, “Ting Ge, help me get two honeydew melons from the fridge.”

“…” Gu Yuanting opened the fridge and took out the honeydew melons.

A few more customers came in one after another. Su Yiran had Gu Yuanting help him, just like they used to when they ran the bubble tea stand at university. They worked together seamlessly, and their efficiency greatly increased.

Soon, the desserts ordered by this wave of customers were all made. With nothing to do for the moment, Xiaowen quietly crept over and asked Su Yiran in a curious whisper, “Boss, is this your boyfriend?”

Su Yiran looked at Gu Yuanting, pursed his lips, and smiled: “No, this is my husband.”

Gu Yuanting heard the word “husband,” and his heart stirred. He glanced at Su Yiran.

Xiaowen was surprised: “Boss is already married!”

Su Yiran smiled without speaking.

He and Ting Ge got married right after graduating university, belonging to the “post-graduation marriage” group. Many people who met him for the first time were surprised that he got married so early.

At this moment, the first group of girls who had arrived stood up, seemingly ready to leave.

Before leaving, they subtly pushed and nudged each other for a while, and a girl with a ponytail was pushed forward, walking towards the counter.

Her face was slightly flushed, her gaze shifting between Su Yiran and Gu Yuanting for a moment. She chose Su Yiran, who seemed easier to talk to: “Handsome gege, can I add you on WeChat?”

Su Yiran secretly glanced at Gu Yuanting, then smiled gently: “You can scan our shop’s QR code and follow our official account. If you collect enough points, you can even redeem small gifts!”

The girl didn’t get Su Yiran’s WeChat, feeling a bit disappointed. However, being answered so gently by a handsome guy made her feel delighted. She scanned the shop’s QR code, returned to her companions, and after a moment of giggling and whispering, the girls left the shop.

Su Yiran secretly glanced at Gu Yuanting again. He knew Ting Ge was a little “vinegar jar” in disguise. Normally, when they walked outside together, even with such a tall and handsome Ting Ge by his side, he was always the one who got approached for some reason.

Every time he was approached in this way, Ting Ge would revert to his true form as a little vinegar jar. When they got home at night, he would mercilessly bully him in bed. Su Yiran couldn’t help but feel a little nervous at this moment.

Recalling his answer just now, well, there shouldn’t be any problem; his survival instinct was strong.

Su Yiran reassured himself, and just as he relaxed a little, he secretly glanced at Gu Yuanting, who was expressionless and not even looking at him. His heart couldn’t help but rise again, feeling fluttery.

Just then, the shop door chimed “ding-dong,” and three more girls entered.

Su Yiran recognized one of them, a tall girl with a sophisticated aura, as the senior who had commented on his WeChat Moments yesterday, saying she would come today.

The senior also immediately saw Su Yiran and happily greeted him: “Ranran! I brought my sisters over!”

Gu Yuanting heard the name “Ranran” and coldly glared at the woman.

Su Yiran’s heart sank.

The senior also saw Gu Yuanting at this point, and the smile on her face immediately faded. She opened her mouth to speak but ultimately said nothing more, simply nodding faintly at Gu Yuanting.

Su Yiran was scratching at the wall in his mind. What was with this inexplicable “Shura field” feeling…?

He quickly said: “Thank you, senior, for coming to support us even when you’re so busy.”

The senior said: “It’s Ran—” She paused, looked at Gu Yuanting with a slight hesitation, and changed her address, “Xiao Su, your desserts are so delicious! My sisters and I happened to be shopping here, so I had to recommend it to them.”

The bubble tea shop Su Yiran opened at university also sold some desserts, and their reputation had always been very good.

Hearing the praise, Su Yiran was very happy: “Thank you! What would you like to order?”

The senior ordered a few signature desserts. Because she saw Gu Yuanting, it brought back some bad memories, so she didn’t say much more and went directly to the booth area with her sisters to wait.

Su Yiran was unaware of the senior’s thoughts. He prepared their ordered desserts and had Xiaowen deliver them.

Immediately after, several more waves of customers arrived. Su Yiran got so busy that he forgot his fear of Ting Ge getting jealous and focused entirely on making desserts.

Several of his signature desserts received unanimous praise. Many customers ordered another portion to take away before leaving, and the most heavily discounted cream puffs and shortbread cookies sold out completely. Several signature desserts were also very popular.

Su Yiran was very satisfied. He closed the shop punctually at 9 PM and, together with his employees, tidied up the premises. At 9:30 PM, the shop finally closed.

By the time he got home and showered, it was already past 11 PM.

Su Yiran emerged from the bathroom in his pajamas and immediately flopped onto the bed, spread out like a starfish.

Gu Yuanting hadn’t gone to sleep yet and was half-reclining against the headboard, reading a book.

Su Yiran wearily called out to him: “Ting Ge, could you massage my lower back for me? I’m so tired.”

He had been tired all day, feeling aches and pains in his lower back.

Gu Yuanting glanced at him, but didn’t move.

Su Yiran leaned closer to Gu Yuanting, grabbed his large hand, and placed it on his own waist, drawing out his words softly as he called out: “Ting Ge…”

Gu Yuanting: “…”

The original owner’s “lover” was really fond of acting cute.

He really wondered how the original owner put up with it.

While thinking this, he placed his hand on Su Yiran’s waist and slowly began to massage him.

Su Yiran comfortably responded to Gu Yuanting’s pressure, making soft hums and groans. He even managed to sigh with emotion, “Mmm… starting a business… it’s really not easy… mmm… ah… Ting Ge, gently… mmm…”

Gu Yuanting: “…”

By the time he finished massaging him, Su Yiran had already comfortably drifted off to sleep.

Gu Yuanting looked down at himself, then re-entered the bathroom for a cold shower.
