JOH CH54: Everyone Present Here
Su Yiran didn’t notice Gu Yuanting’s mood for the time being. He was fully focused on reading the Parenting Handbook, occasionally discussing a few points with Ting-ge beside him, and even highlighting key points with a pen, planning to review them later just by looking at the marks.
After reading two chapters, he noticed it was getting late, so he closed the book and said to Gu Yuanting, “Let’s continue tomorrow. There’s still a lot left, and we can’t finish it all in one go. Let’s sleep first.”
Gu Yuanting looked at him and nodded silently.
Su Yiran sensed that something was off. He tilted his head and looked at Ting-ge from both sides, feeling that he looked… extremely aggrieved.
Su Yiran asked, “What’s wrong?” — Why such a pitiful expression?
Gu Yuanting reached out, took the pen and book from his hand, and placed them on the nightstand. Acting as if nothing had happened, he said, “Nothing, let’s sleep.”
Su Yiran was now certain something was bothering him. After thinking for a bit, he suddenly remembered that Ting-ge had asked to “do homework” earlier but was refused. The realization hit him — That’s what this is about?
Gu Yuanting had no way to refute that: “…”
Su Yiran couldn’t help but laugh and said while playfully poking Ting’s forehead, “You’re a grown man. Why are you still so childish?”
Gu Yuanting looked at him, unsure what exactly made him childish, and didn’t say anything for a while.
Su Yiran thought for a moment, reached over to turn off the lights, and the bedroom went dark. He slipped into the covers.
Gu Yuanting was still sitting up against the headboard. Seeing Yiran get under the covers, he thought he was going to sleep, so he planned to lie down too — wanting to cuddle him to sleep.
But just as Gu Yuanting moved, Su Yiran popped his face out from under the blanket and ordered, “Don’t move.”
Gu Yuanting, confused, obediently stayed still.
Then he watched as Yiran continued wriggling further under the covers. The blanket puffed up with a lump — Yiran was nowhere to be seen.
Soon, he felt Yiran’s warm breath… slowly getting closer.
Gu Yuanting: “!!!!!!”
He instantly realized what Yiran was trying to do. His breathing quickened, pupils dilated, and in a heartbeat, he reacted physically — just as Yiran’s soft lips touched him.
Gu Yuanting didn’t expect Yiran to take initiative like this. He was thrilled, but he didn’t want Yiran to feel pressured, so he tried to restrain himself and stop him: “Yiran, you don’t have to…”
Su Yiran’s face was burning hot. He stared seriously at the task in front of him. Noticing Gu Yuanting trying to move, he firmly ordered: “Don’t move.”
Then, he got to work — seriously “doing the assignment.”
…
The homework was done rather quickly.
Hmm…
Su Yiran, a bit dazed, wiped off a bit that accidentally got on his face. He didn’t expect to finish the “assignment” so fast.
Compared to before — so much faster.
He couldn’t help but think this silently, but dared not say it aloud, remembering a previous “lesson.” Better to pretend like nothing happened. Later, he would just secretly give Ting-ge more nourishing food… secretly help him replenish his kidneys.
Gu Yuanting was still panting excitedly. Su Yiran had crawled back out of the covers, face flushed, feeling both shy and stuffy.
Gu Yuanting couldn’t hold back and went to hug him, kiss him, wanting to wrap him tightly in his arms — overwhelmed with excitement.
It wasn’t just physical — it was the mental thrill of the one he loved taking the initiative in such an intimate act. That kind of joy tingled down to his scalp and surged through his heart.
He couldn’t hold back and ended up finishing the “homework” quite fast. He knew he had been too excited and even wanted to prove himself again — but couldn’t bear to trouble Yiran again, so he held back for now, planning to prove himself next time.
Su Yiran was a bit dumbfounded by how excited he was. His cheeks were hot — why did Ting-ge suddenly act like some teenage boy? Seriously…
Gu Yuanting couldn’t stop kissing and hugging Yiran, his heart swelling with love. Unable to contain his overflowing feelings, he whispered, “Yiran, I love you.”
Su Yiran, cheeks red, softly responded: “I love you too.”
Upon hearing this, Gu Yuanting felt his heart turn into a puddle.
He couldn’t help but nuzzle his cheek against Yiran’s, cuddling him under the covers, continuing the intimacy — until he made sure Yiran was satisfied too.
He loved him so much.
.
The next day, Su Yiran noticed something — wherever he went, Ting-ge followed like a sticky shadow. Always wanting to cuddle and kiss, clinging to him relentlessly like glue.
Whenever he caught sight of Gu Yanting looking at him, his heart skipped a beat. “Butterflies in the stomach” would be an understatement — his heart would race, face flush, and his legs turn weak.
That afternoon, Su Yiran entered the home bakery to prep for his livestream — and sure enough, just as he stepped in, Gu Yuanting followed right behind.
Su Yiran looked at him and accidentally made eye contact again. His face heated up, and he said, “Ting-ge, I can do the livestream by myself. It won’t take more than an hour, you should go work.”
While his parents were visiting for the month, he streamed every 2-3 days, each session lasting 30 minutes to an hour.
Usually, Gu Yuanting stayed in his office during those times, only occasionally checking in to ensure Su Yiran didn’t get too tired or stand too long.
But today, Gu Yuanting just looked at him sweetly and said, “I’m not busy. I’ll keep you company.” As he spoke, he stepped forward, hugged Yiran, and kissed him. “Don’t worry about me.”
Su Yiran: “…” I wasn’t worried about you…
Having no way to deal with Ting-ge, he sighed, “When the livestream starts, you have to behave. No random kissing or hugging, got it?”
He knew that Ting-ge often got jealous over comments in the livestream — and with him acting so clingy today, he really feared he’d start doing PDA in front of thousands of viewers.
Gu Yuanting nodded obediently. “Okay.”
Su Yiran finally felt at ease and started prepping for the stream. Today’s plan was to make various shaped handmade cookies — a simple recipe that could be done with a small oven.
While preparing the ingredients, he smiled and said to Gu Yuanting, “When the baby is born, and gets a little older, we can make cookies together as a family. Kids love these.”
Gu Yuanting imagined it — the three of them making sweet treats together, Yiran smiling brightly beside him, and a little baby nearby.
Looking at Yiran’s smile, his heart melted. That image made him all the more excited for their future child. He already loved the baby — because he was their baby.
After preparing the ingredients, Su Yiran logged into his streaming platform, turned on the equipment, and the moment he went live — the chat exploded.
He first introduced the ingredients for the cookies and then got to work.
He melted the butter, cracked a few eggs to whisk, poured them into the flour in set ratios, and began mixing the dough.
As he pressed the dough, he explained to viewers, “Make sure to press the dough instead of kneading. If you knead too much, gluten will form and affect the final texture.”
Gu Yuanting had been standing off-camera but, seeing Yiran using effort to press the dough, stepped in and said, “Let me do it. You sit and rest.”
As soon as Gu Yuanting stepped into frame, the already fast-flowing chat exploded.
[TingTing!!!!!!]
[It’s here! Sugar drop incoming? I’m ready for my CP to feed me sugar!!!]
[Brace yourselves for dog food… I’m trembling QAQ]
Su Yiran didn’t object and sat beside the counter. Once seated, the camera caught his face — causing another wave of chaos in the comments.
[I can!!! He’s so cute!!!]
[Gonna fight TingTing for Yiran — crying loudly]
[Sneakily stealing Yiran, mwah mwah mwah on his cheeks]
Su Yiran glanced at the comments but calmly ignored them. He had gotten used to this — ever since Ting-ge started forbidding him from standing too long, he would often sit while streaming, and the camera would catch his face. Fans had gotten… well, enthusiastic.
He looked up at Gu Yuanting pressing the dough. Gu Yuanting saw Yiran sitting sweetly nearby, watching him — his heart filled with warm sweetness.
He worked hard kneading the dough. Once Yiran said it needed to be rolled flat inside a plastic bag, he grabbed a rolling pin and got to it.
Once rolled, Su Yiran placed the dough in the freezer to harden, then took it out to start cutting shapes.
He had lots of molds, and it was time-consuming to press them all, so he kept sitting at the counter, carefully pressing each shape.
Gu Yuanting stood behind him and finally noticed how wild the chat was going.
Gu Yuanting: “…”
His expression twisted.
Su Yiran was focused on the cookie molds, explaining how to avoid greasy hands.
Suddenly, Gu Yuanting walked up behind him, lifted his chin with a finger — before Su Yiran could react, he leaned down and kissed him.
Then kissed again. And even licked.
Su Yiran: “…”
Gu Yuanting, having vented a bit of the twisted feelings from reading the chat, looked again at those reckless comments — only to see:
[!!!!!!!!]
Satisfied, he pulled over a chair and sat beside Yiran, picking up a mold to start helping with the cookies.
He was no longer the man who used to feel jealous or frustrated at the sight of fan comments.
Now, their relationship had grown much deeper. Just last night, they had gotten even more intimate.
Yiran had taken the initiative — so lovingly.
These annoying comments? Not worth a thought.
