PRYM CH208: Extra
After Lin Chen went to the Qi family home to sign the second son contract with Qi Jingming, he agreed with Qi Jingming that as long as he was in the country and not in the hospital, he would return to the Qi family home for at least one meal every week.
Third Dad (Godfather Version): [When are you coming for dinner this week? Introducing you to Xiuyi, he has quite a big opinion of you tonight.]
Lin Chen had just returned to the villa not long ago and just finished taking a bath.
He nestled into the sofa wrapped in a bath towel and replied to his new godfather’s message.
Lin Chen: [Will go a few days later. Need to accompany my partner in the evenings recently, coax him first before anything else.]
Just as the message was sent, Cheng Huanzhen’s voice came quietly from behind.
Cheng Huanzhen: “Little Uncle, eat a strawberry.”
Lin Chen looked up expectantly, leaning the back of his head against the sofa.
Cheng Huanzhen held a bowl of freshly washed strawberries. When Lin Chen looked up, he picked one and brought it to his mouth.
Just as he took a bite of the strawberry, Cheng Huanzhen bent down and kissed his forehead.
Lin Chen: “Eating a strawberry is just eating a strawberry; why kiss me?”
Cheng Huanzhen went around the sofa, sat beside him, put down the strawberry bowl, and nuzzled against him. Cheng Huanzhen said, “You are the biggest strawberry, Little Uncle.”
Lin Chen laughed hearing this.
He pressed the heel of his palm against Cheng Huanzhen’s collarbone to stop him from nuzzling: “I just finished showering! Did you wash up before rubbing against me?”
Failing to nuzzle, Cheng Huanzhen curled his lips downwards in dissatisfaction, pulled Lin Chen to wait outside the bathroom, quickly picked out clothes, and went in to shower at light speed.
While showering, he would call out to the outside from time to time: “Little Uncle!”
Eating strawberries outside the bathroom, Lin Chen sighed and answered the voice from inside: “Here, here. It’s just the time for a shower; I won’t disappear.”
The water sound in the bathroom stopped, and Cheng Huanzhen’s voice came through the door: “But Little Uncle, you won’t let me install cameras at home, so I can only follow you all the time… If you think this is troublesome, we can shower together tomorrow, Little Uncle.”
Lin Chen patted the bathroom door hard: “Where’s the sound of water? Slacking off even while showering? Wash quickly!”
Cheng Huanzhen shut up and showered, very quickly.
Unknown if it even took five minutes, he came out with water droplets all over his head.
He casually wiped his head with a towel to dry the obvious water droplets, then stuck to Lin Chen with dampness all over his body.
He kissed Lin Chen, hugged Lin Chen, and after encircling Lin Chen entirely in his arms, nuzzled against Lin Chen’s ear and whispered, “Little Uncle, want to do it.”
Lin Chen was pounced on by him into the corner of the sofa, lazily not pushing himself up. He said, “Then let’s do it.”
So they turned off the lights, doing it in front of the uninhabited French windows, and again in front of the bathroom mirror.
Cheng Huanzhen had read many, many books and learned a lot of knowledge during this period.
He wanted to put all the knowledge he had learned into practice, testing which knowledge both he and Little Uncle preferred and were more suited for through practice.
But Little Uncle got tired after one go, two goes were the limit.
No matter how he hugged or coaxed, Little Uncle stuck to the bed and wouldn’t get up.
Cheng Huanzhen had no choice but to lie on the bed and hug Little Uncle.
Extremely tired, Lin Chen looked at Cheng Huanzhen, who was still full of energy, sighed, and commented: “Truly worthy of being a male college student.”
Cheng Huanzhen retorted: “Little Uncle, I’ve already graduated!”
Lin Chen dragged out his tone: “Okay, okay, okay—a graduated male college student.”
Cheng Huanzhen didn’t know what Lin Chen was teasing about.
He nestled in the hollow of Lin Chen’s neck, quiet for a while, then suddenly said: “Little Uncle, I got tickets for Qi Xiuyi’s museum event tomorrow. I also got tickets for Fang Ji’s concert the day after tomorrow, front row consecutive seats. The reservation for Li Yunhui’s game trial event was also successful.”
Lin Chen looked down and smiled at him: “You are so active. What, afraid I won’t have friends to play with on days I don’t work?”
Cheng Huanzhen didn’t make a sound, burying his head deeper into the neck hollow.
He didn’t stay quiet for long.
After a while, he lifted his head from the neck hollow and asked again: “Little Uncle, when shall we hire a butler and a driver? Hire ones who can go on the global trip with us. The trip will be quite long; it’s not good for me to ask for people directly from home.”
Lin Chen responded gently: “Sure.”
Cheng Huanzhen lifted his head a bit more expectantly and asked: “We already have many plants at home. When we come back from the trip, should we raise some small animals?”
Lin Chen responded smilingly: “Sure.”
Cheng Huanzhen asked: “What do you want to raise, Little Uncle?”
Lin Chen answered gently: “Do you want to raise a rabbit? Let’s raise a rabbit.”
Cheng Huanzhen was stunned for a moment.
Lin Chen: “And then…”
Lin Chen thought for a moment and briefly pulled the system out of the little black room.
Lin Chen asked the system: “Do you prefer cats or dogs?”
The system didn’t have time to be terrified by the scene on the bed it saw now, attracted by Lin Chen’s question.
It said blankly: “What?”
Lin Chen said enthusiastically: “I saw in the system manual that in your system’s function store, there is a ‘transform into physical creature’ function. You can choose any cat or dog. Paying the transformation energy once can save a large amount of brain rent in the long run!”
The system was greatly shocked. Following the host’s guidance on the spot, it found the purchase location for this function.
The host decided on his own: “How about a dog? I’ve even thought of the breed for you. If small, become a Pomeranian; if large, become a Border Collie. How about it?”
The system was dazzled browsing the system mall: “Wait… Wait! Host, look, there are so many choices in the store. The system can even turn into a human baby!”
The host sneered: “Turn into a baby? Do you expect me to feed you milk?”
The system said eagerly: “But Host, turning into an animal system means I can’t talk! Turning into a human, the system can eat cake with you, so the leftover cake won’t need to be given to Wen Shaozhuo!”
The host glanced at it: “If you can learn to make formula milk yourself, I can consider it.”
The system thought seriously, hesitating: “Th-this, system… system hasn’t used a human body either. Making formula milk? Is it hard, Host?”
The host smiled inexplicably: “Then go research it. Tell me when you’ve figured it out.”
Cheng Huanzhen: “Little Uncle… Little Uncle?”
Lin Chen came back to his senses.
With smiling eyes, Lin Chen continued: “And then… I think both cats and dogs are nice! Do you prefer cats or dogs?”
Cheng Huanzhen said seriously: “We can raise all of them! There is enough space at home, and there will be a butler then.”
Lin Chen let out an “Oh,” feeling Cheng Huanzhen made a lot of sense: “You are right. Then no choosing, raise them all!”
After coaxing the person at home and the system at home, Lin Chen soon rested and slept.
Dreamless night. The next morning, Lin Chen lazed in bed for a while, read a book for a while, visited a newly opened dessert shop nearby, and soon it was afternoon.
Lin Chen and Cheng Huanzhen arrived at the Wendong Museum, only to see a super long queue winding nine times at the entrance.
Seeing the queue, Lin Chen’s vision went dark.
Cheng Huanzhen immediately pulled Lin Chen away from the queue towards a very inconspicuous ticket check entrance on the side: “Little Uncle, the museum opened special VIP tickets this time, there is a priority lane.”
Lin Chen breathed a huge sigh of relief: “Good not to queue, good not to queue…”
…
Since last night, Qi Xiuyi’s mood had been terrible.
Various thoughts fought in his brain, fighting back and forth all night without producing any conclusion.
One moment he suspected his dad was looking for a godson to find a substitute for Qi Wendong for him; the next moment he suspected his dad secretly found a stepmother behind his back, and the so-called godson was actually the stepmother’s child…
In short, the mood was just one word: rotten!
Qi Xiuyi’s mood got more rotten the more he was alone, so he decided to run to the entrance with the most people to absorb some living energy and change his mood.
His gaze swept distractedly over the lively entrance.
Suddenly, his gaze paused; a familiar figure flashed past his peripheral vision.
Qi Xiuyi was stunned, turning his head abruptly to look for the figure he just saw.
…Did he just see someone who looked a bit like Qi Wendong?
His peripheral vision didn’t see the person’s appearance clearly.
But the retinal impression left told him so.
So much so that relying on an “impression” and “feeling,” Qi Xiuyi searched blankly in the crowd but couldn’t find the figure that gave him this impression for a long time.
…Illusion?
Somewhat disappointed, Qi Xiuyi intended to withdraw his gaze.
But just then, his gaze suddenly stopped, landing exactly at the fast-track ticket check entrance.
There, beside the familiar young master of the Cheng family, stood a strange young man wearing a red scarf.
The young man had gentle features. While waiting for ticket checking, he seemed to inadvertently scan the whole venue, then turned his head with a faint smile, saying something unknown to the Cheng family’s young master.
Then came another light laugh, a smile touching his brows and eyes. This smile wasn’t intense, just like three or five snowflakes casually drifting onto the back of a hand in late winter.
Qi Xiuyi’s gaze fell on him, and he accidentally lost focus.
Just like the first time seeing Fang Chengyu back then, he saw a similarly familiar feeling in this young man.
…The brows and eyes, even the temperament, were so endearing.
But, so strange.
So strange.
Looking nothing like Qi Wendong at all!
“Good afternoon, Xiuyi.”
Someone suddenly approached him.
It was Cheng Huanzhen bringing the young man with the red scarf over.
Qi Xiuyi snapped back to reality, subconsciously raising a smile: “Huanzhen, good afternoon, you came to support me! This is…”
Qi Xiuyi’s gaze could finally openly fall on the young man with the red scarf.
But it was also at this moment that he suddenly remembered—
He had seen this person!
Just recently on the missing person notices Cheng Huanzhen spread frantically!
…He had even responded to Cheng Huanzhen’s request, mobilizing his and his dad’s connections to help spread this matter!
Right. Two days ago Cheng Huanzhen told him the person had been found!
Qi Xiuyi widened his eyes, recalling the name on the missing person notice: “Lin Chen!”
Lin Chen smiled and extended his hand to him: “Curator Qi, heard a lot about you. Sorry for the trouble caused by my disappearance a while ago.”
Qi Xiuyi: “No trouble, no trouble, just a small effort. Good that you are okay.”
Qi Xiuyi felt he hadn’t immersed himself in recalling Qi Wendong like last night for too long.
So just seeing someone two points similar to Qi Wendong now made Qi Xiuyi’s nose a bit sour.
…Damn it!
How could he think of Qi Wendong at such a time, in public!
Qi Xiuyi immediately blinked hard and fast several times, moving faster than his brain to fish out a ticket from his pocket.
This was the ticket he originally intended to give to his dad last night.
But who told Qi Jingming to go adopt some godson at his age?!
In a fit of anger, Qi Xiuyi kept the ticket himself.
But the ticket was useless to him. Only a ticket given away could play its role.
So at this moment, acting as if nothing happened, Qi Xiuyi handed the ticket to Lin Chen and said to him: “First time meeting, didn’t prepare anything. Just giving you a special ticket as a meeting gift.”
Cheng Huanzhen looked puzzled at the ticket Lin Chen accepted and said: “But A-Chen and I both have tickets. We already checked in.”
Qi Xiuyi raised an eyebrow: “That’s different!”
Qi Xiuyi said triumphantly: “This is Ticket Number Three! Holders of the first three tickets get the Curator’s full accompaniment and personal explanation. Young Master Cheng, you are basking in his light!”
Qi Xiuyi’s gaze fell back on Lin Chen, with a brilliant smile, five fingers together gesturing “please” towards the front.
Qi Xiuyi: “So, both of you, please follow me.”
