PRYM CH220: Extra
The conversation that night ended there.
Early the next morning, Cheng Huanzhen had to get up early to busy himself with those project and family issues that gave him a headache.
Presumably, he didn’t have the time to ask in detail.
Lin Chen usually slept a bit longer than him.
After all, Lin Chen’s time was free, and generally, no one would ask him out early in the morning. When Lin Chen had nothing to do, he would usually sleep until eight o’clock.
However, today, Cheng Huanzhen discovered that Lin Chen had actually gotten up early too.
He woke up at five, got ready, had a meal, and was set to leave by five-thirty.
But just as he was about to leave, Lin Chen woke up.
Cheng Huanzhen paused unexpectedly at the entryway, immediately took off the shoes he had put on, changed back into slippers, turned around, walked quickly to Lin Chen’s side, and gave him a good morning hug.
Cheng Huanzhen asked with concern: “Little Uncle, why did you wake up so early today? Won’t you sleep a bit longer? You went to bed so late yesterday!”
Lin Chen shook his head and said: “Not sleeping anymore, have some things to do today. Go busy yourself with your work, don’t waste time here with me.”
Cheng Huanzhen’s schedule this morning was extremely tight.
He had a discussion at seven, and at six, he had to start a small meeting with his own team regarding the latest developments of last night’s incident. From home to the company, it took half an hour without traffic. If he left late and hit traffic, it would take even longer.
Cheng Huanzhen reluctantly let go of Lin Chen and asked him: “Are you going out later? Then I’ll drive myself and leave the driver for you.”
Lin Chen smiled and patted his face: “What do I need a driver for? No need, let him go with you. If I need to go out, I’ll have Xiao Zheng accompany me.”
Xiao Zheng was the family butler, a young and sturdy man who possessed the skills of a butler, driver, and bodyguard all in one. He was very convenient to use, and of course, his salary was higher.
Of course, besides him, there were two other dedicated bodyguards at home, which Cheng Huanzhen insisted on hiring.
Cheng Huanzhen felt this was feasible.
He kissed and hugged Lin Chen again, giving instructions and showing reluctance, until he was chased away by Lin Chen again, only then leaving in a hurry.
Cheng Huanzhen originally didn’t take this small matter to heart.
But unexpectedly, for two, three consecutive days, he encountered Lin Chen, who also woke up early in the morning!
…Strange. What does Little Uncle get up so early for every day?
Cheng Huanzhen was extremely puzzled by this.
He immediately planned to ask Little Uncle what he had been busy with these days after returning home tonight.
But before he could ask.
That evening, he finally finished his work and returned home from work.
As soon as he got home and pushed open the main door, he heard Lin Chen’s voice coming from the reception room not far from the living room, talking and laughing with someone unknown.
As the main door closed with a sound, the people inside also noticed the movement outside.
“…Hearing the noise, it should be Huanzhen back. Mr. Liu, you sit first, I’ll go call Huanzhen.”
Another unfamiliar voice said with a smile: “Don’t. I’ll go with you.”
Then, Lin Chen and a man walked out of the room together, talking and laughing.
To anyone who didn’t know better, they would think they had such a good relationship!
Cheng Huanzhen narrowed his eyes and looked carefully.
Almost instantly, he recognized that the person smiling beside his Little Uncle and even actively nodding at him was none other than the heavyweight client he had mentioned to Little Uncle a few nights ago, the one who had been unwilling to negotiate or even meet with them!
Cheng Huanzhen took a deep breath.
…He knew what Little Uncle had been doing these days.
Cheng Huanzhen put on a polite smile and stepped forward to shake hands with the other party.
“Mr. Liu, hello. Nice to meet you for the first time, I am Cheng Huanzhen, the current Chairman of Cheng Group.”
After some pleasantries, the three re-entered the reception room.
Lin Chen accompanied them for about ten minutes, helped them get into the topic, and then found an excuse to leave first.
He went upstairs to check on the System. Seeing the System obediently and happily hiding in the bedroom playing with a cat, a dog, and a rabbit, he went to the study with peace of mind to read materials related to a company he planned to invest in recently.
Cheng Huanzhen chatted with the other party until very late.
It wasn’t until around two o’clock that he finally got up to see the guest off.
Hearing the movement downstairs, Lin Chen politely went out to see the client off together.
Today, the moon was bright and the stars were sparse.
After the client’s car disappeared from view at the end of the road, a pair of large hands suddenly hugged Lin Chen’s waist tightly, and a head nuzzled intimately and forcefully against his neck.
Lin Chen lowered his eyes and patted the head: “What are you doing? Go nuzzle inside the house if you want to. It’s not good if the family sees.”
But Cheng Huanzhen didn’t stop. Instead, taking advantage of him turning his head and looking down, he looked up and kissed his cheek and lips densely.
After kissing for a long time, he finally stopped.
Cheng Huanzhen asked hoarsely: “How did you do it, Little Uncle?”
Lin Chen chuckled: “Guess.”
Cheng Huanzhen sighed softly: “So amazing, Little Uncle.”
Lin Chen raised his chin: “Well, what else.”
The hint of pride and flamboyance hidden in these words instantly made Cheng Huanzhen’s heart itch terribly.
Just hugging like this, chest to back, holding Little Uncle entirely in his arms, was far from enough.
He wanted to continue kissing Little Uncle, wanted to have further contact with Little Uncle!
But before his thoughts could be manifested, Lin Chen held down his hand.
Lin Chen smiled: “It’s too late today. Go next door and come back, and you won’t get any rest tonight. Go sleep quickly, solve the problem early, and come back to me early.”
Cheng Huanzhen’s eyebrows instantly dimmed.
Cheng Huanzhen was unwilling: “Then at least kiss and hug a bit more?”
Lin Chen sighed: “Let’s go back to the room first, okay, my Little Chairman?”
Cheng Huanzhen was happy.
With a new solution to the project problem, Cheng Huanzhen quickly devoted his energy to it. Using the change in this key client’s attitude as a breakthrough point, he completely overturned and straightened out the entire project problem.
In just half a month, this massive problem of a hundred-billion-level project was completely flattened by Cheng Huanzhen at a speed shocking enough to stun the entire Cheng family!
For a time, great chaos arose in the families of some side branches of the Cheng family who had been making many moves.
Cheng Huanzhen didn’t care about these issues.
On the evening he solved the problem, he rushed home immediately.
Lin Chen didn’t go out again today. At this time of the evening, he was reading a book in the setting sun. The book he chose today wasn’t right; Lin Chen was reading it drowsily.
Just as his head was nodding, a light kiss suddenly landed on his forehead.
Lin Chen shuddered, opened his eyes wide instantly, looked up blankly, and saw Cheng Huanzhen looking at him with joyful smiles in his eyes. Only then did the dazed confusion gradually fade.
Cheng Huanzhen: “Good evening, Little Uncle. I’m back!”
Lin Chen put the book and the unhappily meowing kitten together on the window sill, then opened his arms and hugged Cheng Huanzhen tightly as he leaned towards him.
Lin Chen smiled: “Good evening, welcome back. Are all the problems solved?”
Cheng Huanzhen said: “All solved, Little Uncle. From today on, I can come home on time every night to keep you company again!”
Perhaps Cheng Huanzhen was too happy, and felt that bending over to hug Lin Chen didn’t allow for a complete embrace, so he simply picked Lin Chen up in a princess carry.
Lin Chen’s eyes widened, and he slapped Cheng Huanzhen’s arm: “What are you doing?”
Holding him, Cheng Huanzhen walked briskly upstairs: “Little Uncle, you said it, wait until I’m done. Now I’m done, and the butler has gone to pick up Jiujiu from school. The time is just right, Little Uncle!”
Lin Chen: “…”
Lin Chen slapped him hard: “Don’t be in such a rush. Go next door, I don’t want to be interrupted by them halfway! Also, where are my slippers? Take my slippers with you!”
So they went next door again.
Hugging, kissing, under the setting sun, on the sofa, in the bathtub.
They didn’t stop until someone was exhausted.
Cheng Huanzhen changed the water in the bathtub, then held his Little Uncle in the tub, quietly refusing to let go.
…He hadn’t been intimate with his Little Uncle like this for a whole month and a half!
Previously, when overtime was occasionally less, he still had time to do intimate things with Little Uncle after returning home. But even at those times, time was tight, and they couldn’t savor it slowly and enjoy it fully.
Cheng Huanzhen hugged his Little Uncle in the water, letting Little Uncle lie against his chest.
They hugged very tightly, cheek to cheek, chest to back.
Cheng Huanzhen exclaimed again: “Little Uncle, you are so amazing. If not for you, the problem wouldn’t have been solved so quickly.”
Wrapped comfortably in the warm water, Lin Chen closed his eyes and said lazily: “I can’t just set goals for you without helping you.”
When they first got together a few years ago, Lin Chen felt Cheng Huanzhen was too addicted to love and not attentive enough to work, so he started setting work goals for him.
At first, he casually swiped and asked Cheng Huanzhen to whip up a billion-level project.
Cheng Huanzhen whipped it up seriously and ran to him happily the next year to claim his reward.
Seeing this, Lin Chen swiped again and asked Cheng Huanzhen to whip up a ten-billion-level project.
Cheng Huanzhen whipped it up very seriously and ran to him happily the next year to claim his reward.
Lin Chen felt Cheng Huanzhen still had potential to be developed, so he swiped again and asked Cheng Huanzhen to whip up a hundred-billion-level project.
The result was as shown now.
Cheng Huanzhen whipped it up extremely seriously, even encountering difficulties and working overtime. But the result was good; he whipped it up again.
Lin Chen thought, Cheng Huanzhen was probably going to ask him for a reward again.
Sure enough, as soon as the thought emerged, he heard Cheng Huanzhen nuzzling his ear and asking in a low voice: “Little Uncle, I’m about to complete the hundred-billion-level project. Where is my reward?”
Lin Chen scoffed: “Haven’t even completed it yet, and you want to claim the reward in advance? Wait! Don’t pop the champagne at halftime and let the project fail on the eve of success.”
With a rare moment to catch his breath, Cheng Huanzhen held Lin Chen in the bathtub, quietly unwilling to let go.
When they had to leave next door and return home, Cheng Huanzhen spent nearly an hour intensely rescheduling his time, clearing out the entire next day to cling to Lin Chen and stick to Lin Chen.
Lin Chen scolded him: “You’re a chairman already, why still not a bit mature? You’ve only been busy for how long, and you can’t hold back?”
Cheng Huanzhen let the first sentence go in one ear and out the other.
Then he answered the second sentence: “Yes, Little Uncle, I can’t hold back.”
Lin Chen didn’t want to stay at home, so Cheng Huanzhen accompanied him out for a walk.
A few years ago, when Lin Chen occasionally didn’t take orders, he socialized too much and was too busy. In the last two years, having hit bottom and rebounded, he didn’t like going to those places specifically for sightseeing and playing in his leisure time.
So after thinking it over, Cheng Huanzhen took his Little Uncle to A University.
Cheng Huanzhen only found out after marriage that Little Uncle was also a student at A University before (System: OvO).
The scores recorded on a transcript were simply so beautiful that Cheng Huanzhen couldn’t help but double his kisses and hugs for Little Uncle that night!
Cheng Huanzhen took Lin Chen to the snack shop he frequented most before graduation and asked the shop owner for a handful of the new strawberry candy product—chocolate lava strawberry candy.
Cheng Huanzhen kept one for himself to taste, peeled another to feed to Little Uncle, and put all the rest into Little Uncle’s pocket.
Cheng Huanzhen asked him: “Little Uncle, when you were in school before, was this snack shop here?”
How would Lin Chen know? He hadn’t actually attended A University in this world.
He said expressionlessly: “How would I remember? I don’t have the habit of buying snacks and mineral water on the way. Unlike you, who could actually go negotiate cooperation with a candy manufacturer for such a weird-flavored strawberry candy!”
He laughed: “Good thing you used your own money, otherwise if Old Master Cheng knew, he’d nag me next time we play chess saying I indulge you too much.”
Lin Chen paused and asked: “By the way, I heard from A-Shao that he raised money recently and wanted to buy the villa he lived in before, but you refused him?”
Cheng Huanzhen: “.”
Cheng Huanzhen said: “Yes, Little Uncle, I don’t plan to sell that villa anymore.”
Lin Chen glanced at him: “But A-Shao said he clearly saw the villa listed for sale before going to ask you.”
Cheng Huanzhen: “.”
Cheng Huanzhen said calmly: “Because I changed my mind temporarily, Little Uncle. That house is in a good location.”
Lin Chen smiled: “Liar. What changed mind? You clearly just don’t want to sell the villa to A-Shao. Are you remembering the grudge from being jealous back then?”
Cheng Huanzhen looked away: “No, Little Uncle, I wasn’t jealous, nor holding a grudge.”
Lin Chen continued to smile: “Oh? Really? A-Zhen can’t lie to me. If you lie to me, I won’t be happy.”
Cheng Huanzhen: “…”
Cheng Huanzhen lowered his eyebrows and head, saying reluctantly and aggrievedly: “Fine, Little Uncle, I was jealous, and also holding a grudge.”
Lin Chen’s method for resolving Cheng Huanzhen’s jealousy and grudges had always been simple.
They returned to the car and let the driver take a rest.
Then, hugging and kissing in the car, coaxing him this way for a while, Cheng Huanzhen finally reluctantly agreed to relist the house and not specifically obstruct Wen Shaozhuo.
After wandering around A University, Lin Chen took Cheng Huanzhen to pick a bookstore to sit for a while.
This was a bookstore under Lin Chen’s name, branded as “Strawberry Bookstore.” The bookstore sold various strawberry-related desserts at fair prices.
Lin Chen never hoped these bookstores would really make him any money. Opening these shops was just so that sometimes when he went out and had nowhere to go, he could come to the shop to eat and sit. Occasionally, if any young people seeking investment wanted to find him, they could also make an appointment directly at the shop.
The bookstore was very quiet.
Sunlight filtered through the glass, leaving dappled shadows on the pages. Lin Chen and Cheng Huanzhen stole a kiss in a corner where no one and no surveillance cameras could see.
For the rest of the time, Lin Chen picked a book and shoved it to Cheng Huanzhen, forcing him to finish reading it before packing up to go home.
When they left the bookstore, the sky was about to darken.
The gentle setting sun mixed and intertwined with the golden fallen leaves on the ground, paving a brilliant avenue with no end in sight.
