“What are they talking about? Why can’t I understand?”
“Baby Xiao Chi said Bo Yu has a secret crush on him, and Bo Yu didn’t deny it???”
“So are they a ‘marriage before love’ trope, or a ‘secret crush comes true’ trope? [Starry Eyes]”
“Even novels turning into reality aren’t this mystical. Would a domineering CEO like Bo Yu really play out this kind of pure, innocent secret crush?”
“I get it now, the ‘Yu Qin Gu Zong’ ship is just for the pure romance enthusiasts [Sad] Damn it, they’re even better to ship now, what do I do [Sad]”
“I’m sorry, my focus is a bit weird, but according to what Bo Yu said before, he and Baby Xiao Chi are each other’s first loves. Does that mean Bo Yu is also a pure, innocent virgin? [Sad]”
“Sister above, you really know how to grasp the main points [Doge]”
“Putting it that way doesn’t seem wrong. Sister Wen Xi also said that Baby Xiao Chi never had a boyfriend or girlfriend before, so they really are incredibly pure [Licking Screen]”
On the other side, Bo Yu raised an eyebrow and glanced at the screen, which was still broadcasting: “Is it not over yet?”
Gu Qichi slowly let go of the hand he was holding, pursed his lips, and explained, “It’s probably going to take…”
He glanced at the clock hanging on the wall. “Probably about twenty more minutes. Are you going to wait for me on the side, or join me?”
On the table, A’ci was shaking her head and looking around, actively acting cute to help the absent Gu Qichi manage his business.
A fragmented smile surfaced in Gu Qichi’s eyes as he spoke with a teasing tone, “Just now, the bullet comments were entirely flooded with your name. I feel like they really want to see you too.”
With twenty minutes left and nothing else to do, Bo Yu readily agreed. He grabbed a chair from the other side of the bedroom and brought it over.
The two of them hadn’t appeared in the public eye for over half a month. Suddenly sitting side-by-side in front of the camera, their intense, striking good looks were abruptly magnified, causing the fans in front of the screen to gasp.
“Did any sisters take a screenshot?! Did anyone take a screenshot?!!”
“Oh my god, being able to see ‘Yu Qin Gu Zong’ in this lifetime is my greatest blessing. The two of them are just too perfect for each other. [Yu Sheng Inhaling Oxygen JPG]”
“Not gonna lie, if Baby Xiao Chi were with anyone else, I’d reject it because they’d look too ugly next to him. But Bo Yu gives off such immense Top energy, like an ultimate ‘Pacific Ocean Top’, his Top energy is hitting me right in the face [Licking Screen] [Licking Screen] Teacher Xiao Chi, please tell me, is Bo Yu also an ultimate Top in bed? [Drool]”
They were clearly livestreaming together and looking at the bullet comments together, but for some reason, Bo Yu’s eyes seemed to be much sharper than Gu Qichi’s.
As soon as that dirty comment popped up, Bo Yu quietly furrowed his brows. He shifted sideways, using his arm to block Gu Qichi’s view. After making sure Gu Qichi hadn’t seen it, he turned his head and shot a death glare at the camera.
Bo Yu: “Are the room admins here?”
As soon as he said this, a neat row of “???” floated across the public chat.
Some of Gu Qichi’s toxic solo fans smelled something familiar, and people started typing on the public screen—
“He’s here, he’s here! This man has returned with his account-banning skills!”
“The weather is turning cold; it’s time to make all the Phoenix Trees (fans) shut up (bushi)”
“Is it what I think it is? Let me open an alt account and test the waters. [Pushing up glasses]”
“Bo Yu, your wife is so beautiful, let me have a taste [Drool] [Drool]”
“Chi-chi! Wifey! Look at me!!! You are the ‘only love’ I can never resist in this lifetime!!”
Several bullet comments flashed across the screen, immediately followed by Bo Yu’s voice: “Kick out everyone in the comments making dirty jokes. Mute and ban their accounts. Also, hurry up and set up the blocked words list…”
After he listed out a series of clear, methodical instructions, Gu Qichi was stunned. He leaned close to the computer screen with a look of disbelief and muttered softly, “Bo Yu, there are only a dozen minutes left…”
“Besides, they didn’t say anything that crossing the line, did they?”
His face still held a look of pure innocence. After all, Gu Qichi had only been looking at the comments for a short time and read them slowly. In the beginning, everyone had restrained themselves, and even if there were out-of-line remarks, they were quickly ignored. It was only after Bo Yu appeared that everyone uncontrollably dropped a few explicit lines, which, as luck would have it, Bo Yu caught perfectly.
The room admins acted quickly, and Bo Yu took matters into his own hands as well. His speed was off the charts. Even through the screen, everyone could see his hands flying across the keyboard and mouse.
“Damn it, my alt account sacrificed itself for the cause. [Angry] [Angry]”
“Mine died too. A 30-day ban package. Bo Yu, you really did it this time [Enraged]”
“I completely believe he’s never dated before. With this hand speed, it’s absolutely insane.”
“It doesn’t matter, I have thirty alt accounts! [Finger Heart] Wifey, look at me! My heart beats only for you! [Finger Heart]”
“Wifey wifey look at me! I’m different from those people who just lust after your body, I lust after your heart! [Licking Screen] Wifey, kick Bo Yu to the curb and get together with me! [Licking Screen]”
In the end, this twenty-minute chaotic brawl between Bo Yu and Gu Qichi’s thirsty fans finally came to a close.
At first, Gu Qichi tried to control the situation, telling everyone not to argue so fiercely, and even lectured Bo Yu a bit. But when he turned his head to actually read the computer screen, he retreated with a bright red face.
Fans were already starting to write fanfiction in the bullet comments.
And the words they used were a bit… too inappropriate for the eyes…
Unable to stop the runaway train, Gu Qichi had no choice but to let Bo Yu handle it. He scrolled through his phone and found a few behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the filming of Xing Tianqing and Strive! Actors! to appease the remaining fans.
When there were only five minutes left until the end of the livestream, Bo Yu’s phone suddenly chimed. He picked it up, read the contents of the message, and a half-smile hooked the corner of his lips.
Gu Qichi was busy telling the fans about the novel experience of playing the Mermaid King, completely oblivious to the change in Bo Yu’s expression.
The person sitting beside him quickly typed a few words, set down his mouse, stood up, and swiveled Gu Qichi’s chair around.
He positioned him squarely in front of the camera and the screen.
“A fan is about to drop some gifts. Remember to say thank you.”
Gu Qichi froze, looking up at Bo Yu in confusion.
He had clearly closed the donation channel before the livestream started. How could anyone send gifts?
Seeming to read his confusion, Bo Yu explained nonchalantly, “I opened it.”
Just as he finished speaking, a dazzling array of special effects burst onto the screen.
It was the same “Whale in a Sea of Clouds” gift that Bo Yu had dropped last time.
A massive blue whale breached through a sea of golden clouds, accompanied by a cascading meteor shower. It was gorgeous and romantic.

…
Gu Qichi looked at the screen helplessly and stumbled over his words as he thanked the sender: “Thank you, ‘Xiao Yu and Xiao Chi Grow Old Together’, for the gifts.”
After thanking them, Gu Qichi avoided the camera, tugged at Bo Yu’s sleeve under the table, and shot him a remarkably clear, questioning look: Who on earth is this?
Bo Yu rested one hand on the back of Gu Qichi’s chair and draped the other lazily over his shoulder. The camera couldn’t capture them at this height. The lighting cast a hazy silhouette over Bo Yu’s face. He lowered his eyes, his messy bangs swaying slightly, and mouthed to Gu Qichi—
“My mom.”
Gu Qichi shot up perfectly straight. The tips of his ears turned even redder, and his voice stumbled even more: “Auntie, please don’t send any more, I don’t need these gifts.”
The special effects on the screen didn’t pause for a second. In fact, because they were being spammed so heavily, they completely washed away all the comments from the fans who had been intentionally antagonizing Bo Yu earlier.

Bo Yu’s phone buzzed again. He casually clicked open the chat interface, glanced at what Ruan Xian had said, then leaned down to whisper in Gu Qichi’s ear: “Mom says it’s a meeting gift for you, to just take it and play around with. Also, since you’ve already accepted the gifts, calling her ‘Auntie’ now would truly be impolite.”
And so, through the screen, everyone watched the flush on Gu Qichi’s face spread all the way down to his neck, his words stuttering even worse: “Mom, that’s enough, really, it’s enough. Please stop sending them.”
Gu Qichi’s relationship with Gu Chengtian and the rest of the Gu family had been exceptionally poor. For so many years, aside from his pleasant interactions with Wen Shi, he had absolutely no experience communicating with elders. Ruan Xian was far more enthusiastic than he could have ever imagined, leaving Gu Qichi at a rare loss for what to do when faced with her goodwill.
But the “mom fans” in the livestream were about to go crazy.
Even the “girlfriend fans” wanted to switch to being Gu Qichi’s mom fans.
Please! Who wouldn’t want an obedient, darling Gu Qichi wearing Cinnamoroll pajamas who obediently calls you ‘Mom’?!!
This is literally the ideal human child, okay?!!
The livestream was eventually manually ended by Bo Yu, who also said a quick “thank you” to Ruan Xian on Gu Qichi’s behalf.
Then he immediately scooped his wife up and dove under the covers.
On the other side of the mansion, Ruan Xian was wearing her glasses, carefully selecting the gifts she was going to give Gu Qichi tomorrow and for the New Year.
Are five cars too few? That custom Lamborghini won’t arrive until after the New Year either…
That manor on the west side of the East City is nice. I’ll give it to Xiao Chi. When he has nothing to do, he and Bo Yu can go fishing there.
The jade bracelet I prepared for my future daughter-in-law before won’t be used now; Xiao Chi might not like it. Ruan Xian thought about it, then placed the jade pendant and the red sandalwood bead bracelet that she had personally had blessed at Yuling Mountain into a box, intending to give them to Gu Qichi to pray for his peace and safety.
I still feel like… something is missing.
Ruan Xian felt a bit distressed.
She tilted her head back and thought for a while. Her inspiration really was running dry, so she casually opened Gu Qichi’s Weibo Super Topic to browse around.
I’ve got it!
An airline under her name had just opened a new flight route, and Gu Qichi’s new drama would require him to film in Country C. I’ll just gift Xiao Chi a private jet! That way, it’ll be convenient for him and Bo Yu to visit each other while he’s filming.
Ruan Xian replayed the memory of Gu Qichi calling her “Mom” and put her phone down in complete satisfaction.

On New Year’s Eve, the Bo household was exceptionally lively.
Ji Zhaozhao had been brought back by Bo Song last night. She hugged Gu Qichi’s thigh and didn’t let go for a whole day. Bo Yu couldn’t even pry her off, and Gu Qichi just spoiled her.
When night fell, Ji Zhaozhao even threw a tantrum wanting to sleep with Gu Qichi, but Bo Song laughed it off and dragged her away.
Because the whole family was going to have New Year’s Eve dinner together tomorrow, Bo Yu couldn’t ruthlessly toss Gu Qichi around in bed. He had to settle for venting his frustration by biting the other man’s ear a few times before holding him and drifting off to sleep.
On the morning of New Year’s Eve, before it was even late morning, Ji Zhaozhao slipped into Bo Yu and Gu Qichi’s bedroom, pounding her little hands on the door and shouting with all her might for them to wake up.
“Chi-chi! Uncle! Time to get up!”
“Uncle! It’s the New Year!!! Gongxi Fa Cai! Hand over the red envelopes!”
As soon as Gu Qichi opened his eyes, he saw Ji Zhaozhao, dressed up by Bo Song looking exactly like a traditional New Year painting doll.
Bo Yu was feeding A’ci cat food. Gu Qichi groggily sat up.
Ji Zhaozhao squatted on the floor, watching him.
“Chi-chi!” Once Gu Qichi was fully dressed, the little munchkin hugged his calf again, blinking her big eyes as she called out to him.
The veins on Bo Yu’s forehead throbbed. He forcibly plucked the little munchkin off Gu Qichi’s leg. “Go play by yourself. Your ‘aunt’ needs to come make dumplings with me.”
Ji Zhaozhao pouted her lips, highly reluctant.
“I… I know how to make dumplings too! Can’t Chi-chi stay with me?”
Because of the New Year, Gu Qichi was rarely dressed in red, which made his skin look even fairer and added a festive touch. Ji Zhaozhao was also wearing a little red dress. The large and small figures squatted on the floor together, both looking up at him with eager, pleading eyes.
Gu Qichi: “Aren’t we making dumplings tonight? Let’s just take Zhaozhao with us.”
Bo Yu: “…”
Ever since returning home, his private two-person world with Gu Qichi had been thoroughly interrupted.
Bo Yu suddenly began to regret bringing Gu Qichi back for the New Year. This was really quite different from the outcome he had anticipated.
Seeing Gu Qichi and Ji Zhaozhao squatting on the floor, A’ci abandoned her bowl of cat food, padded over, and squatted down right behind Ji Zhaozhao.
This formed a hilarious scene of three sticky rice balls—one large, one small, and one fat cat—all staring unblinkingly at him.
Bo Yu paused for a subtle moment, handed his phone to Ji Zhaozhao, and turned to Gu Qichi: “You take her to play games for a bit first. She loves playing ‘Defend the Cabbage’ the most.”
Gu Qichi and Ji Zhaozhao happily high-fived.
Bo Song didn’t really allow her to play games, worrying that staring at electronic devices for too long would be bad for the child’s eyesight, so Ji Zhaozhao only got this reward when she behaved exceptionally well.
The little munchkin was thrilled.
After playing for over half an hour, Gu Qichi got up to go to the washroom. Bo Yu was outside the room adjusting the position of the spring couplets on the door frame.
The cabbage on Ji Zhaozhao’s screen got completely devoured by monsters in a few crunches. She blinked, feeling a little sad.
Suddenly, a notification popped up at the top of Bo Yu’s phone.
It was orange-yellow.
@BoYu, an account you follow, xxxx, has posted a new update…
Ji Zhaozhao had never seen this before and curiously tapped it to take a look.
It was her first time interacting with the Weibo interface, so she wasn’t very familiar with it. By mistake, she long-pressed the account-switching button in the bottom left corner, tapped randomly a few more times, and switched to an account named YUCHI.
Before she could figure out what was going on, Gu Qichi finished washing his hands and came out of the bathroom.
Ji Zhaozhao hurriedly switched back to her ‘Defend the Cabbage’ app and looked up at Gu Qichi eagerly.
Chi-chi is so amazing. When Chi-chi leads her to fight monsters, they always win.
Zhaozhao likes Chi-chi even more now!
Gu Qichi wiped the water off his hands, sat in the chair beside her, helped Ji Zhaozhao restart the game, and the two happily continued playing.
They didn’t eat much for lunch; Ruan Xian only had the chef prepare a few light dishes. The actual New Year’s Eve dinner, however, had been in preparation since early morning.
Many red lanterns had been prepped around the house. Ruan Xian had specifically bought several master-crafted colored glaze flower lanterns and ordered Bo Yu to hang them in front of everyone’s bedroom doors.
That way, they could admire the lanterns at night.
While Bo Yu was hanging the lanterns, Gu Qichi was still feeding Zhaozhao. The phone on the table buzzed. Gu Qichi looked down; it was a message from Wen Xi.
She took time out of her busy schedule to remind Gu Qichi to do his promotional work today.
Gu Qichi put down the bowl, got up, and went to find Bo Yu.
He forwarded the promotional copy for FashionPasha that Wen Xi had sent him over to Bo Yu, casually reminding him not to forget to repost it at exactly 13:14 (1:14 PM).
This was specifically requested by FashionPasha
But Bo Yu was still hanging the flower lanterns and didn’t have the time to stare at the clock waiting for the minute to turn. Thinking that his Weibo was currently logged into the official Bo Group CEO account anyway, he casually said, “Can you just post it for me first?”
They both knew each other’s phone passwords. Seeing that Bo Yu was still being critiqued by Ruan Xian on his lantern-hanging skills, Gu Qichi smiled, casually logged into Bo Yu’s Weibo, and published the post.
Hitting the exact time: 13:14.
“Chi-chi! I still want to eat the lamb!”
Ji Zhaozhao hadn’t finished her meal yet. Gu Qichi put down the phone, picked up his chopsticks, and grabbed some meat for her.
Neither of them ever checked exactly which Weibo account Bo Yu was logged into.
