As soon as this comment came out, it instantly attracted the curiosity of many fans. After all, everyone knew that Gu Qichi and Bo Yu were already married, and legally at that.
So this rumor sounded incredibly fake, and was quickly shut down by the couple’s CP fans. Why go through the unnecessary trouble of proposing all over again?
[You Are My Darling]: That’s got to be fake tea. The two hubbies are already married, why go out of their way to propose a second time?
[Be A Little Serious]: Exactly, and going all the way to Northern Europe, too. Is the entire production team accompanying him for a proposal? That’s a bit ridiculous. [Husky]
[for him]: Instead of wasting time spreading rumors, you might as well go to xx Satellite TV and rewatch Gu Qichi and Bo Yu a few more times. After all, a spectacle built on 5.6 billion isn’t something you get to see very often. [Doge]
[don’t stay up]: But what if it’s true? Proposing once more under the watchful eyes of the public is truly romantic. [Twiddling Fingers]
[The Only Definition]: I’m still more concerned about that unfinished preview. What exactly was Bo Yu and Gu Qichi’s first meeting like? That damn Director Fei always loves to keep people hanging like this. [Fist hardened]
[Little Lamp in the Deep Night]: If it really is Northern Europe, is this episode going to be live-streamed or pre-recorded? It seems like it’s time for the live-stream format, but traveling for tourism is usually pre-recorded. [Pushing glasses]
[we all know]: Please, this is really important to me. If it’s live, we get to see Yu-Qin-Gu-Zong next week. If it’s pre-recorded, I have to wait another half a month [Cracked]. I hope the production team knows what’s good for them and quickly turns on the little couple’s live-stream mode, otherwise I’ll be knocking at their door with a fifty-meter machete.
While the netizens were passionately discussing this, Gu Qichi remained completely oblivious, still lying in bed fast asleep.
Bo Yu had bought a few jars of ointment from outside and was carefully reading the instructions and dosages. A’Ci’s recent weight loss had yielded significant results; the whole cat was much slimmer. Even the vet said A’Ci had returned to a healthy state, though they still needed to watch its food intake in the future.
The silver-shaded cat bounded forward in two or three steps, and just as it was about to jump onto Gu Qichi’s bed, Bo Yu grabbed it by the scruff of its neck, lifting the whole cat into the air.
Bo Yu softly scolded A’Ci: “No pouncing.”
“Meow!” The silver-shaded cat flailed its claws in the air, glaring angrily at Bo Yu with wide cat eyes.
One person and one cat communicated silently through their eyes and eventually reached a compromise. Bo Yu let the silver-shaded cat onto the bed, and it approached Gu Qichi subtly and quietly.
After putting down the cat, Bo Yu went to the bathroom to wash his hands, then brought out a cotton swab and the ointment, striding over to the bed.
Probably because he had been bullied too relentlessly, Gu Qichi hadn’t had much energy these past few days. He woke up only to fall back asleep, and fell asleep only to wake up again. Aside from “studying” some great literary arts when awake, he had even relied on Bo Yu to feed him his meals these past few days.
Bo Yu pulled back his thoughts and looked at the young man on the soft, large bed.
He was sleeping soundly, his breathing light and shallow. The loose hair on his forehead fell messily behind his ear. Looking closely, one could spot a bite mark hidden right behind his ear.
Not just behind his ear, but everywhere else on Gu Qichi’s body was covered in marks, big and small. At first glance, it was actually a bit shocking.
Bo Yu lifted the hem of his pajamas, his gaze heavy, hiding an uncontainable tenderness and satiation. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he casually thought to himself that he should be gentler next time; if his skin kept breaking, Gu Qichi would be unhappy.
The white cotton swab, dipped in the light green, cooling ointment, was slowly applied to the broken skin on the young man’s body. Bo Yu applied it with exceptional care and seriousness, his movements incredibly light, as if handling a piece of fine art.
Yet, it still woke Gu Qichi.
In his slumber, the young man only felt a sudden burst of coldness on his body. Naturally afraid of the cold, his body curled up instinctively, only for someone to firmly grasp his wrist.
Someone had caught him.
Such occurrences hadn’t been rare these past few days. Gu Qichi’s subconscious recognized the person holding him as Bo Yu, and he relaxed slightly. Just as he was about to fall back asleep, the spicy, icy ointment was pressed against his skin again, making him flinch uncontrollably.
Fine goosebumps broke out over his skin exposed to the air. Gu Qichi groggily opened his eyes and saw Bo Yu, diligently tending to his “patient.”
His mind was fuzzy, and he felt a bit disoriented.
But driven by a biological instinct when sensing danger, he subconsciously shrank back upon seeing Bo Yu.
Gu Qichi sat half-upright, leaning against the headboard. Bo Yu raised an eyebrow, his gaze dark and unreadable.
“What are you hiding from?”
He asked him.
Gu Qichi finally sobered up a bit. His voice was still hoarse as he warned him in a bad mood, “I don’t want to read any more fanfiction.”
Bo Yu didn’t say anything; he just grabbed the man’s ankle and dragged him back.
His eyes were lowered, his gaze deep and profound, carrying a faint smile. “I won’t mess with you. Lie down properly, I’m applying your medicine.”
Gu Qichi cast him a few suspicious glances. Seeing that he was genuinely just applying the medicine, he finally relaxed and let him do his work.
As Bo Yu helped apply the ointment, he casually asked, “Do you want to go to Northern Europe to see the aurora?”
The aurora?
Gu Qichi’s fuzzy brain completely cleared up. He slowly let out an “Ah,” and teasingly replied, “That’s not something you can just see because you want to. Doesn’t it really depend on the timing of when you go?”
Bo Yu lifted his eyelids and lightly pinched the calf of his leg. “As long as you like it, we’ll go see it.”
Gu Qichi sat up straight, roughly imagining the scene in his head, and decided to follow his heart’s desire.
“I want to see it.”

Time flew by incredibly fast, and in the blink of an eye, the Spring Festival was over.
The snack stalls and restaurants on the streets gradually resumed business, and people steadily returned to their jobs. Only the red couplets and lanterns hanging at the doors stubbornly displayed the liveliness of the Spring Festival, while the rest of the holiday elements slowly faded from everyone’s view.
Gu Qichi took a trip to the Bo family’s ancestral home and returned with an abundant haul.
Ruan Xian gifted him five cars, an estate, and even outright gave him a private jet. What Bo Song and her husband gave wasn’t just a New Year’s gift; according to them, they were making up for his wedding gift as well. However, when Gu Qichi saw the cruise ship they gifted him, he was still slightly shocked.
Although he insisted on not accepting them, both Ruan Xian and Bo Song were exceptionally firm in their attitudes.
Bo Yu was even more direct, unceremoniously taking the gifts from their hands and stuffing them into Gu Qichi’s arms.
He justified it nicely, calling it all red envelope money for Gu Qichi.
Gu Qichi was stunned into silence but had no way to refuse anymore, so he had to store everything safely to avoid losing them.
During these days, it wasn’t just Ruan Xian and Bo Song who sent gifts. Gu Qichi also continuously received presents from many others.
From Wen Xi, Luo Qianqian, Yu Sheng, and even from Su Ming, who had recorded the variety show with him.
Gu Qichi stored them away one by one and sent return gifts, but he wasn’t in the mood for any further socializing.
He was a little fixated on the Northern European aurora Bo Yu had mentioned. However, the other man hadn’t made a single move over the past two days, completely avoiding the topic. Gu Qichi had started to think Bo Yu was just teasing him.
But to his surprise, just a few days later, he and Bo Yu were packed onto a flight to Northern Europe by the I Will Accompany You to the End production crew.
The production team also conveniently brought Wen Xi and Luo Qianqian along. It wasn’t until he got on the plane that Gu Qichi realized Yu Sheng was sitting there too.
She was wearing massive black sunglasses. Her face was already small to begin with, and now everything was covered up except for her mouth and chin.
Seeing Gu Qichi, she grew extremely excited and nearly dashed out of her seat to give him a hug.
But with Bo Yu right by Gu Qichi’s side, Yu Sheng put on a polite smile and perfectly restrained herself.
This was an opportunity she had begged Bo Yu so hard for. If she angered him, the fun would be over.
Gu Qichi looked around but didn’t see the production team’s camera operators or the accompanying PDs. He couldn’t help but ask curiously, “Why didn’t the other staff come with us? Is it because there’s still a long time before takeoff?”
Bo Yu led him to his seat, letting him sit down before explaining calmly, “This is the private jet Mom gave you last time.”
Gu Qichi: “…”
You sure put it to use quickly.
…
This journey felt exceptionally longer than usual, flying for over nine hours straight.
Everyone on the plane was drowsy and half-asleep.
By the time they arrived in Tromsø, Norway, it was only twelve noon local time.
The sky was a brilliant white, and the sunlight overhead wasn’t glaring. Looking ahead, layers upon layers of mountains were covered in thick snow, refracting a bright, snowy glare under the light, giving off a cold and hard feeling.
The temperature here was simply too low. Even though he had worn extremely thick clothes in advance, Gu Qichi still couldn’t help but rub his hands together, the tips of his ears freezing red.
As they spoke, puffs of white mist continuously billowed from their mouths.
Just as Gu Qichi was about to ask Bo Yu where they were heading next, he saw a blond, blue-eyed older gentleman walking toward them from a short distance away.
“Mr. Bo, everything is ready. Welcome to Norway. Next, let me take you to the rest place.”
Bo Yu spoke with him in a low voice for a moment, and the group followed him to a residence.
Bo Yu had picked a very warm, red cabin for them.
Gu Qichi eagerly slipped inside and was immediately enveloped by the warmth within.
A crackling fire danced in the fireplace against the wall. Above it hung thick woolen tapestries printed with an adorably naive-looking kitten.
The wooden rocking chair was draped with several thick woolen blankets, and on the small dining table sat a pot of freshly warmed black tea, steam curling up gracefully. The bedding on the bed was fluffy and soft; a rustic and warm atmosphere rushed to greet him in the entire room.
Bo Yu ruffled his hair, made him drink two cups of black tea, and then brought him to the bed. “Rest a bit longer. I’ll take you out to play tonight.”
Although Gu Qichi had slept for a long time on the plane, it had been broken and intermittent, so he hadn’t rested well.
Hearing Bo Yu say this, he safely drifted into dreamland.
Bo Yu waited until he fell asleep before getting up and leaving. He went to find the older gentleman again, intending to inspect the things he had prepared in advance.
Everything was ready; all they needed was the right wind.
The I Will Accompany You to the End production team arrived at four in the afternoon. Everyone was carrying bags of all sizes, looking somewhat disheveled.
Fortunately, Bo Yu hadn’t just covered the room and board for Wen Xi, Luo Qianqian, and Yu Sheng; he had also conveniently sorted out the accommodations for the production team.
By the time the production team had briefly settled in, Gu Qichi had already been pulled around for a tour by Bo Yu.
The scenery in Tromsø was far more gorgeous than he had imagined. Beneath the snow-capped mountains, houses of varying heights were painted in bright, vibrant colors, their roofs blanketed in thick snow. As the clear yellow sun slowly set, the clouds on the horizon were dyed a peachy orange, drifting gently over the snowy peaks. As far as the eye could see, everything was bathed in a brilliant gold.
Gu Qichi had originally wanted to try out the dog sledding and the cable cars here, but before he could act, they were called back by the production crew. He couldn’t help but cast a regretful glance at the snowy landscape.
The loneliness written on his face was too obvious. With his eyebrows drooping, he looked very much like a cat sulking alone because it didn’t get the little dried fish it wanted.
Bo Yu chuckled, pulled down his scarf, and leaned in to kiss his cheek.
Gu Qichi turned his head in confusion, only for Bo Yu to say as if it were a universal truth: “Wife, you’re so cute.”
Gu Qichi: “?”
Gu Qichi: “…”
Where exactly did he look cute???
Gu Qichi deeply felt that Bo Yu had slapped eighteen layers of filters on him, stacked up thicker than a brick wall.
When the two returned near their residence, Yu Sheng had also finished resting. Full of vigor and with a lavalier mic clipped to her clothes, she was squatting on the ground, digging in the snow.
“Baby Xiao Chi! You guys are back!”
Her earth-shattering shout of “Baby Xiao Chi” even startled a Husky being walked by a passerby. Bo Yu frowned in displeasure. Gu Qichi looked at Yu Sheng in amusement and tugged on Bo Yu’s sleeve, signaling him not to hold it against her.
After everyone had their lavalier mics attached, the production team shoved two GoPros into Gu Qichi and Bo Yu’s hands.
A drone was also hovering overhead. Gu Qichi couldn’t help but click his tongue, “Is there something really important to film today? You’ve even brought out the drones?”
The accompanying PD glanced guiltily at Bo Yu and stepped forward to explain: “Norway’s scenery is famous. We plan to do a special travel edition when the show airs.”
Gu Qichi nodded in understanding, not feeling like anything was off about the PD’s explanation.
But when the recording began, Gu Qichi sensed that something wasn’t quite right.
Everyone was moving forward in one direction with a very clear purpose. Not just Bo Yu, but even Yu Sheng, Wen Xi, and the others acted as if they were incredibly familiar with the destination ahead.
Gu Qichi calmly glanced at Yu Sheng, who was walking ahead buying snacks, then looked back at Bo Yu, his interest thoroughly piqued.
Bo Yu had definitely prepared some sort of surprise for him.
The night dragged on, and darkness fell. The stars overhead weren’t all that brilliant; instead, faint fluctuations of green light appeared.
Gu Qichi tilted his head up, his jawline sharp and clean-cut, feeling a thrill of excitement.
Just as he was about to speak and remind Bo Yu, someone tugged at his sleeve. Gu Qichi looked down and found a little girl, around seven or eight years old, looking up at him.
She wore a pure white dress, bundled up inside an oversized padded jacket. She had beautifully light blue eyes, her face flushed red from the cold. Hugging many bouquets of flowers in her arms, she asked with eyes full of hope:
“Would you like to buy a bunch of flowers, sir?”
Bo Yu stopped in his tracks, looking at the bouquets in her arms, and spoke gently: “This is really a good suggestion. I want a bunch of eustoma.”
The little girl was delighted and handed Bo Yu the lisianthus he requested. Then she turned her smiling face to Gu Qichi and offered a heartfelt compliment: “Your face is so stunning, like a work of art kissed by God, I wish you all a wonderful journey.”
Gu Qichi thanked her, and a bouquet of flowers was stuffed into his arms.
Like a faint mist smudged across the horizon, those fluorescent green lights were extremely pale at first. Then, transitioning from light to dark, they gradually unleashed a far more spectacular array of colors.
Gu Qichi was led to an open expanse of snow. Illuminated by the light, the snow beneath their feet refracted sparkling, star-like glimmers, as if they were stars cast down by the aurora.
It was only when they walked further in that Gu Qichi realized this snowy field wasn’t empty at all. Densely packed together, it formed an entire semicircular wall of ice.
And encased within the ice wall were massive, vibrant roses and lisianthus in full bloom. The petals layered over one another in thousands of folds, the various colors of roses intertwining to create a bizarre and magnificent spectacle.
The aurora band overhead grew ever more dazzling. Rivers of green light flowed and rippled, floating weightlessly. Above the fluorescent green, hints of reddish-purple light bled through, forming ever-changing shapes.
This grand romance descended from the heavens, mysterious and unfathomable, yet feeling so close it was almost within reach.
The howling of the wind echoed in their ears, and the frozen ice reflected the flowing lights from the edge of the sky, making the roses sealed within bloom even more vibrantly.
Yu Sheng was thrilled out of her mind. She opened her mouth wide, then desperately covered it to prevent herself from screaming and ruining the atmosphere.
Luo Qianqian was also so shocked by the dazzling sight before her that she was speechless. She and Wen Xi were huddled together looking up the definition of an aurora.
“The aurora is a colorful plasma phenomenon that occurs when streams of charged particles from the sun (solar wind) enter the Earth’s magnetic field, creating brilliant and beautiful glowing lights at high altitudes near the Earth’s north and south poles at night. In Antarctica, it is called the aurora australis, and in the Arctic, the aurora borealis. The Earth’s aurora is produced when high-energy charged particles from the Earth’s magnetosphere or the sun (solar wind) excite (or ionize) high-altitude atmospheric molecules or atoms.”
“So Boss Bo saw the aurora on his very first day here? What kind of god-tier luck is this?” Luo Qianqian marveled in a low voice.
Looking at the ice-sealed roses and lisianthus right in front of her, Wen Xi carefully reached out to touch them. Strands of freezing cold pierced through her skin, making her shiver.
Wuwuwuwuwuwu, she was clearly supposed to be Gu Qichi’s solo fan, but how could this dog of a man, Bo Yu, be so incredibly smooth? She was about to get trapped forever in Yu-Qin-Gu-Zong’s tender embrace.
The aurora before them continued to undulate and drift with the wind. Even though it was the most romantic and resplendent thing in the world, Gu Qichi felt it wasn’t as bright as Bo Yu’s eyes.
Bo Yu’s pupils were a deep, dark hue, faintly reflecting the figure of a single person—himself.
Himself, smiling foolishly.
Bo Yu rummaged through the bouquet of lisianthus he was holding and quickly pulled out a small black velvet box.
Inside lay a low-key, understated ring.
Unlike the extravagant pigeon-egg diamond from last time, this ring was much more meant for daily wear. It was embedded with fine, crushed diamonds, and the inner band was engraved with Gu Qichi and Bo Yu’s names.
Bo Yu knelt on one knee.
“The previous proposal was too hasty. Perhaps, it couldn’t even be called a proposal.”
Back then, the proposal was probably more like coercion and enticement. Bo Yu cast the bait, and Gu Qichi took the hook.
But looking back at it now, who was the angler and who was the fish? That was perhaps up for debate.
This marriage had always been a knowing probe and crossfire between the two of them.
Bo Yu looked up, holding that simple, elegant ring in his hand. The beating of his heart pounded fiercely against his chest; for no reason at all, he felt nervous.
“Gu Qichi, this time, are you willing to marry me?”
Time flowed backward, and the image of Bo Yu on the day of their contract marriage surfaced before Gu Qichi’s eyes again. The man had looked breezy and nonchalant on the surface, but every subtle movement had betrayed his nervousness.
The two faces overlapped across time and space in this very moment. With moist eyes, Gu Qichi extended his hand:
“Bo Yu, I do.”
“I love you very much, too.”
Ice-sealed roses, the crystallization of love.
Romance lives forever, never to wither again.
The moment the ring was slipped back onto his ring finger, Bo Yu stood up and kissed Gu Qichi.
They shared a passionate kiss under the aurora.
Where the voices boil over and the crowds roar, amidst the clusters of blooming flowers, Gu Qichi, I want my love for you to be known to everyone.
