APLO CH135
Chapter 135: Little Rabbit x Archon
Before Xiu could even voice his surprise at Wen Chu’s ears, he heard the teenager hugging his waist let out another whimper:
“Father…”
The voice was filled with suppressed endurance.
Xiu frowned, about to call for a doctor, but froze abruptly when his gaze fell on Wen Chu’s clothes.
The teenager was wearing a tight black combat suit, and at this moment, the conspicuous bulge in his pants was unmistakable.
A rather unsettling guess rose in Xiu’s mind.
He maintained his hold on Wen Chu, his voice stiff. “Wen Chu, do you feel your body heating up, your heart beating fast, and your body feeling exceptionally uncomfortable, like it’s burning?”
Wen Chu focused on his sensations and nodded uncertainly.
As he nodded, his two rabbit ears twitched along with the movement.
Xiu’s fingertips moved slightly, his expression darkening.
“You seem to be… in heat.”
Wen Chu’s body was unique, possessing part of the lop-eared rabbit gene. For safety reasons, researchers had never stopped studying him over the years.
Someone had once raised the issue of heat cycles.
Normally, after reaching maturity, male rabbits are capable of mating year-round.
But Wen Chu was still too young, so this issue wasn’t a primary consideration and thus hadn’t garnered much attention.
Including from Xiu.
It was just a heat cycle. When Wen Chu grew up, he could naturally date freely; that would be his private affair, and it would be a bit much for Xiu to interfere.
But the current development had far exceeded Xiu’s expectations.
Wen Chu was only sixteen, yet his heat cycle had arrived early.
And Wen Chu only had him by his side.
Wen Chu’s mind was already growing chaotic. He felt his body getting hotter and hotter; only by getting close to Xiu could he feel a trace of coolness.
He practically pressed his entire upper body against Xiu, desperately inhaling the cold fragrance on him, too uncomfortable to speak.
Wen Chu had grown up to be very beautiful. When he whimpered and hugged him, looking pitiful and teary-eyed with those fluffy ears twitching, even Xiu, who was with him day and night, couldn’t help but skip a beat.
He really was beautiful.
Wait, that’s wrong. This is his adopted son.
What is he thinking?
Xiu snapped himself awake, dispelling the romantic thoughts.
He looked at Wen Chu, whose whole body was starting to burn up, bit the tip of his tongue, and made a decision. “Don’t be afraid. I’ll help you. It won’t hurt in a moment.”
Just normal physiological education for his adopted son.
Xiu barely steadied his mind, his hands trembling as he undid Wen Chu’s clothes.
Likely due to his constitution, even though Wen Chu had trained with him since childhood, he hadn’t developed exaggerated muscles.
His limbs remained slender and long, covered only by a thin layer of muscle that looked just right on the teenager.
Xiu guided Wen Chu down onto the bed.
The boy trusted him completely, falling into his arms almost defenselessly. Xiu was also afraid Wen Chu might burn up if left like this, so he dared not distract himself with other thoughts.
Tracing down the smooth V-line, he touched Wen Chu.
Wen Chu had been suppressing it for a long time. Almost the instant his pants were removed, it eagerly sprang up before Xiu’s eyes.
Xiu stared at the sight before him, momentarily stunned again.
Wen Chu evidently hadn’t touched himself much, and because he was a rabbit, there was only very faint white down.
Wen Chu’s physical development was good, just still carrying a childish pink hue.
Xiu felt an inexplicable tremor in his heart.
Then, he reached out and covered it.
Almost the instant he was touched, Wen Chu let out a whimper and clutched him tightly.
“Father…” Wen Chu rubbed his head frantically against Xiu’s chest.
Xiu said hoarsely, “I’m here. Don’t be afraid. I’ll help you. It won’t be uncomfortable soon.”
He hugged Wen Chu back.
Xiu’s movements were very light, extremely careful as he helped Wen Chu, terrified that using even a little more force would hurt the fragile child in his eyes.
Wen Chu trembled all over, covered in a thin sheen of sweat, burying his entire self into Xiu’s chest, letting out broken gasps.
In less than two or three minutes, he completely released into his foster father’s hand.
After all, it was his first time.
Wen Chu subconsciously bit down on whatever was near his mouth, remaining dazed for a good while before coming back to his senses.
The overwhelming heat finally receded somewhat, and Wen Chu’s reason returned.
Realizing the situation, Wen Chu’s cheeks, which had just returned to normal temperature, flushed hot again instantly.
“F-Father.” Wen Chu hurriedly let go with his mouth, panicking even more when he saw the spot he had been biting.
He was still in Xiu’s arms, limbs weak and unable to sit up, tongue-tied for a long time, unable to think of what to say.
He had been touched by his foster father, whom he regarded as a god.
Not only touched, but he had finished so quickly in the other’s hand.
Wen Chu’s language function completely malfunctioned.
Xiu, on the other hand, looked with interest at the little cub who was suddenly too shy to speak, and slowly withdrew his sticky hand.
So pure.
The last time he had teased him into speechlessness like this seemed to be when he carried him to bathe together.
Wen Chu was only ten back then.
Later, the kid became harder and harder to tease, and Xiu had even lamented that Wen Chu was growing up too fast.
Looking at him now, he was clearly still a child.
Xiu chuckled low, pinching Wen Chu’s cheek with his clean hand. “Is it still uncomfortable?”
Wen Chu subconsciously replied, “Still a little…”
Realizing what he said immediately after, his face turned even redder. “I-I-I-I-I’ll do it myself!”
“Pfft.” Xiu couldn’t help laughing.
He pulled tissues from the bedside, slowly wiping the stickiness from his hand, lowering his eyes with a light smile. “Do you know how, little baby bunny?”
Wen Chu turned over, trying to burrow into the blanket to escape. “I do!”
Since childhood, he had slept with his foster father. Now he couldn’t even find a bedroom to hide in.
Xiu didn’t give him the chance to burrow, grabbing his arm.
“Alright, I won’t laugh at you. Being like this the first time is normal,” Xiu said, though his voice still carried a hint of laughter.
He took Wen Chu’s hand and guided it over.
“I’ll teach you.”
His first heat cycle was spent under his foster father’s personal instruction.
The second time, Wen Chu stumbled through it under Xiu’s guidance for over an hour, only finishing when his hand started to ache.
After it was done, he wasn’t hot anymore. He curled up in the blanket, biting his fuzzy ears, looking like he was about to cry. “I want to change rooms. I’m not sleeping with you anymore.”
Xiu tried hard to stifle his laughter beside him. “Sure?”
Wen Chu nodded with a whimper.
He had no face left to sleep with Xiu. What was all this?
Blame that damned Doctor, blame the early heat cycle.
Now it was great; he didn’t even know how to look at Xiu.
Hearing Wen Chu’s words, Xiu looked thoughtful. “That works too. You’re grown up, you should have your own independent space. I’ll have someone prepare a room for you tomorrow.”
Wen Chu wanted to run away, but hearing Xiu agree so readily made him feel a bit upset instead.
Looking at the bed he had slept in for over six years, before he could figure out how to take back his words, he heard Xiu’s amused voice from outside the blanket: “Open up, let me see if you’re still hot?”
Wen Chu slowly pulled down the blanket, his face red.
Xiu leaned in, touched his forehead, and was relieved to confirm Wen Chu’s temperature had returned to normal.
Watching the little rabbit about to burrow back into the blanket, he couldn’t resist reaching out to pinch the drooping rabbit ears.
Wen Chu nearly jumped up.
He covered his ears and glared at Xiu. Xiu calmly withdrew his hand, as if he weren’t the one who had just messed with the ears.
“Wen Chu.”
Before Wen Chu could voice his condemnation, Xiu spoke first.
Wen Chu looked at him.
Xiu put away his smile, sat on the edge of the bed, and said seriously to him, “It’s okay, no need to be so shy. This is you growing up. Every boy goes through this when they grow up. It’s just that you have some rabbit genes, so it’s a bit special.”
“Tomorrow I’ll have the research institute come give you a checkup. Don’t be afraid, Father won’t let anything happen to you.”
Wen Chu slowly stopped trying to burrow into the blanket.
“Then I won’t…”
Just as he was about to take back his words about sleeping in separate rooms, he was interrupted by Xiu.
Xiu chuckled lightly. “But excessive indulgence harms the body. Even sleeping alone, don’t be too indulgent.”
Wen Chu: ?!?
Wen Chu let out a howl and dove into the blanket, refusing to acknowledge Xiu anymore.
Hearing the man’s muffled laughter from outside the blanket, Wen Chu angrily bit his own ear again.
Xiu was teasing him on purpose.
How could there be such a bad adult?
He was moving out! Moving out!!
The next day.
As soon as dawn broke, Wen Chu couldn’t wait to move. After cooperating with the doctor for the checkup, his rabbit ears disappeared.
Xiu looked at his returned-to-normal ears with regret.
Wen Chu turned into a rabbit and hopped away, resolutely avoiding eye contact with Xiu.
The doctor, observing the strange atmosphere between the two, wiped sweat from his forehead and tried to maintain a professional demeanor. “Wen Chu’s ears likely appeared uncontrollably in human form due to the stimulation of the heat cycle. Once the hormones from the heat cycle subside, they return to normal. As for the timing and frequency of his heat cycles, further observation is needed.”
“If this happens again in the future, it’s best if you record the duration and time, to facilitate our research.”
Xiu noted it down seriously, nodding. “Okay.”
The doctor then briefly explained some precautions for puberty, mainly addressing Wen Chu.
Wen Chu curled into a small rabbit ball, playing dead, unbeknownst if he listened or not.
Xiu, however, nodded to the bewildered doctor. “Okay, I’ve noted it all down. Thank you for your trouble. We will notify you immediately if there are any special circumstances.”
Seeing Xiu had taken note, the doctor left with peace of mind.
After a good while, once the doctor had completely walked away, Wen Chu slowly poked his head out.
He looked at Xiu, who had his arms crossed and was clearly waiting for him to peek, and whispered, “I’m going to move bedrooms.”
Xiu spoke up. “Wait.”
Wen Chu paused.
Xiu looked thoughtful. “In a while, once we find the pattern of your heat cycles, how about I send you to school?”
Wen Chu’s heat cycle made Xiu realize a most serious problem:
He had always taught Wen Chu personally. Wen Chu’s world had no one else but him.
But Wen Chu was a normal child.
Although his identity was a bit special, he should still need normal social interaction and a normal life, instead of learning various self-defense and assassination techniques in the Archon’s residence.
It was probably because he had absolutely no peers to play with that Wen Chu was bored enough to carry a gun and run off to kill people.
The more Xiu thought about it, the more sense it made.
However, the fluffy little rabbit dumpling hopped away as if angry. Thump, thump, thump.
“Whatever you want!”
Wen Chu ran angrily back to his room and slammed the door shut with a bang.
Xiu stood there, completely baffled.
Puberty kids are so hard to guess.
On the other side, the little rabbit ball angrily jumped onto the bed and stomped his feet.
Stupid school. As soon as I grow up, Xiu tosses me aside to go to school.
Stupid heat cycle. Why did it have to come at a time like this?
Why did I insist on sleeping in separate rooms? Now great, I can’t find a reason to go back.
The more Wen Chu thought about it, the angrier he got. Unable to decide who to be angry at, he angrily bit the quilt, dragged it off the bed, and threw it onto the floor.
Stupid quilt!
After clearing away the eyesore of a quilt, he threw the pillows too. Wen Chu collapsed on the empty bed, flattening into a rabbit pancake.
He didn’t want to turn into a human right now.
As soon as he turned human, he couldn’t help remembering last night—how he nestled in Xiu’s arms, bit Xiu’s chest, and was touched by him.
Touched twice in a row.
Thinking of Xiu’s accustomed, effortless demeanor made Wen Chu even angrier.
In his anger, even the bedsheet looked annoying, so he ripped that off too.
Now only the mattress remained on the big bed. Wen Chu started grinding his teeth on the mattress.
Father.
Foster father.
Xiu.
One moment he thought of the Doctor he’d shot through the heart; the next, he thought of the lingering cold fragrance on Xiu; then, he remembered how Xiu lowered his eyes to wipe the sticky traces from his hand.
Why is Xiu… so skilled?
Clearly, Xiu hadn’t been with anyone in these six years.
Was he already this skilled back in the Upper District?
Right… Xiu is from one of the Three Families, and he was so successful in the Upper District before.
Thinking of this, Wen Chu started to get annoyed again.
Even the mattress began to look like an eyesore.
The two-palm-sized little rabbit fiercely bit onto the mattress.
Thump—
Just as Xiu finished making breakfast, he heard a loud noise from Wen Chu’s room.
Without thinking, he hurriedly put down the breakfast and went upstairs, knocking on Wen Chu’s door. “Wen Chu? What’s wrong?”
Unexpectedly, the door wasn’t latched properly.
Xiu’s knock pushed the door open directly.
The door slowly swung open. Xiu looked at the mess of bedding on the floor and a lop-eared rabbit furiously stomping its feet while dragging a mattress hundreds of times its size. A rare look of bewilderment appeared on his face.
“…Don’t like this bedding set?” Xiu asked, confused.
Wen Chu finally moved the mattress away. Satisfied, he lay on the bed frame that was now just slats, and huffily turned his back.
He left Xiu with nothing but a fluffy, round rabbit tail.
I hate my foster father.
