APLO CH136
Chapter 136: Little Rabbit x Archon
“…So, I’m here at school now.”
In the classroom of Class 1-A at the Intercity Private High School, Wen Chu puffed up his cheeks and spoke to his deskmate.
Alice: “…”
Alice looked at Wen Chu with a complicated expression. “So, that’s the real reason the Archon built a school and specifically sent me here to protect you?”
Wen Chu was very unhappy, resting his chin on his hand, his long white hair cascading down. “He just wants to send me away. Now that I’ve grown up, he doesn’t want to raise me anymore.”
Alice was silent for a moment before saying, “Is there a possibility that the Archon wants you to experience a bit of the outside world and make friends?”
Wen Chu stared wide-eyed in surprise. “Why would I want to make friends?”
Alice: “…Normal people should have at least two or three friends they can talk to, right?”
Wen Chu said earnestly, “I am a rabbit. I only need Father.”
Alice was speechless.
While they were talking, the class bell rang.
Although Wen Chu was displeased about being sent to school by Xiu, he didn’t intend to cause trouble. He obediently took out his textbooks and waited for class to start.
A young man walked into the classroom with a smile, stood behind the podium, and introduced himself: “Hello everyone, I am James. I will be your physics teacher and homeroom teacher from now on.”
Alice clicked her tongue quietly and whispered to Wen Chu, “The Archon even hired James for you.”
Wen Chu was confused. “Who?”
Alice looked at him as if he were hopeless. “James Allen! A senior teacher from the Upper District. A school offered him an annual salary of two million and he didn’t go, but now he’s come to a private school in the Lower District to be a homeroom teacher.”
“Where the money is, the love is. The Archon really loves you.”
Wen Chu let out an “Oh” and whispered sadly, “Then I don’t want a lot of money, I just want a lot of love.”
He felt that Alice didn’t understand at all.
Xiu had planned to build a new school in the Lower District for a long time. This so-called “private school” was actually just to avoid the jurisdiction of public enrollment quotas; the students recruited were almost all ordinary children.
Hiring teachers was also very normal, and he could conveniently be stuffed in here.
The more Wen Chu thought about it, the sadder he became.
Blame that damned research institute, and that Doctor who insisted on appearing during his heat cycle.
He had struggled against going to school for a year, but as his heat cycle slowly stabilized to the first half of each month, Xiu cruelly sent him away.
Wen Chu and Alice sat in the first row, and their little actions didn’t escape James’s eyes.
“Alice,” James spoke up. “What were you saying just now?”
Alice stood up and betrayed her teammate without hesitation, twisting the truth: “Wen Chu was chatting with me about gossip.”
James smiled. “Alright, sit down. Don’t talk to your classmates in the future and disturb your deskmate’s studies.”
Alice: “?”
Wen Chu didn’t notice this commotion; he was still sulking.
After that one heat cycle, Xiu had deliberately kept a distance from him. For a whole year, he had slept in a separate room from Xiu.
After the Doctor’s death, Sector E also underwent a major rectification. Wen Chu had forgotten about the obviously suspicious police officer due to his heat cycle, but Xiu ferreted him out and fired him.
Having investigated to such a detailed extent, Xiu naturally knew that he had been blown into fireworks and then restored using his healing ability, so he immediately confiscated his gun.
The “plague” from back then took three years to control. A very small number of ability users awakened in the Lower District, almost all of whom were incorporated by Xiu.
Also for this reason, the researchers originally detained in the Upper District were spared the death penalty, and the research plan was restarted.
It just turned into a more official term—”Human Evolution Research.”
Xiu, who had a little ability rabbit at home, naturally couldn’t support it, but his reach couldn’t extend to the Upper District.
He spent another three years restoring the economy, carrying out infrastructure construction, and purging the fugitives from the original research institute.
It was now the seventh year since Xiu came to the Lower District.
The economy had recovered, and all the fugitives from the research institute in the Lower District had been wiped out, leaving only a few who fled to the Upper District with research data.
A year ago, Wen Chu was able to catch the guy and kill him on the spot entirely because that person ran to the Lower District to traffic children for experiments, and thanks to Secretary Li’s private intelligence network.
Now Secretary Li had been given a gag order by Xiu, running faster than if he’d seen a ghost whenever he saw Wen Chu.
Seventeen-year-old Wen Chu felt abandoned by everyone.
James began his lecture on the podium, and Wen Chu angrily studied physics with a cold face.
Since he was here, and today was September 15th, he couldn’t possibly have a heat cycle for the rest of the month.
He couldn’t just do nothing; he might as well learn something.
Break time.
After the first class ended, many classmates curiously started to look in Wen Chu’s direction.
The news that “the child adopted by the Archon is coming to school” had spread long ago. Coupled with Wen Chu’s highly recognizable long white hair, many students knew before enrollment that they would be classmates with Wen Chu.
The boy behind Wen Chu poked his head out. “Are you Wen Chu? I saw you on the news when I was little. My name is Louis.”
Wen Chu nodded politely.
The boy asked curiously, “What’s it like being adopted by the Archon? Is your illness cured? Where did you go to school before?”
As his voice fell, many people looked over, obviously also very curious about Wen Chu.
Xiu had briefed him on these questions, so Wen Chu answered according to Xiu’s instructions: “My illness isn’t fully cured yet, so I might take leave often in the future. Before this, I was at home, and Father taught me my lessons.”
A girl nearby whispered to her deskmate, “Look, people from rich families call their parents ‘Father’ and ‘Mother’.”
Wen Chu: “…”
I am a rabbit, I can hear you.
Louis was envious. “The Archon taught you personally? Then your studies must be very good, right?”
Wen Chu thought for a moment. “Probably?”
Louis was confused. “Probably?”
Wen Chu was very sincere. “I didn’t spend much time on basic subjects. Most of the time I was learning taijutsu and shooting.”
Louis: “…Did the Archon teach you that personally too?”
Wen Chu was very proud. “Mmh, Father taught me personally.”
Firearms weren’t uncommon in the Lower District, but children of this age rarely had contact with them. Hearing Wen Chu say this, they all gathered around curiously, asking questions all at once.
“How did you learn? Can you hold real guns?”
“Did the Archon teach you hand-in-hand?”
“Is he very fierce?”
“Is he as young as he looks on the news?”
Wen Chu was a bit proud, and with his childish face set seriously, he explained one by one.
Beside him, Alice’s expression grew more and more twisted as he explained.
This is called a bad relationship? This is called not wanting to raise him anymore?
Then what about her and her cheap dad? Does that mean her dad deserved to die when she killed him?
The first day of first grade in high school wasn’t heavy on tasks. Several teachers simply introduced their subjects as the first lesson.
Wen Chu talked about “my father” all day long, successfully gaining the friendship of the whole class. He hopped happily into the car that came to pick him up, clutching his phone.
When he saw the Adjutant in the driver’s seat, the smile on Wen Chu’s face froze instantly.
“Where is Father?”
The Adjutant drove diligently. “The Archon went back to the Upper District to discuss matters. He won’t be back until late at night, so he asked me to pick you up.”
Wen Chu tensed up entirely upon hearing “went back to the Upper District,” only slowly relaxing his tight muscles after hearing the second half of the sentence.
Coming back late at night.
He didn’t leave him to go to the Upper District for good.
He lowered his eyes, looking at the schoolbag clutched in his arms, his chest feeling tight. “He never went to the Upper District before.”
Why did Xiu leave as soon as I started school?
The carefree Adjutant didn’t sense anything wrong and said bluntly, “Isn’t it because he couldn’t stop worrying about you? Before, whenever there was a meeting in the Upper District, the Archon attended online. Now that you’ve grown up, he can finally let go and do what needs to be done.”
“Finally…?” Wen Chu chewed on the word.
The Adjutant missed the point. “It’s those lunatics in the Upper District who are trying to make a comeback. They tortured you so much back then that to this day, the Archon acts like he’s facing a formidable enemy whenever you have a fever. How could he let them off…”
Wen Chu didn’t hear the rest.
He turned on his phone, skipped over the various messages from his classmates, and tapped into the pinned contact.
The remark name was “Father”.
[Wen Chu: Father, school is over.]
The person who usually replied instantly didn’t reply.
Wen Chu gripped the phone tightly.
Even during the year of sleeping in separate rooms, he could see Xiu every day. In fact, because of his unpredictable heat cycles, Xiu paid even more attention to him.
Because of this, Wen Chu actually hadn’t felt much distance.
Only now, when he couldn’t find Xiu when he wanted to, did Wen Chu suddenly realize that the distance between him and his father after leaving the house could be so far.
Wen Chu didn’t speak. Listlessly, he turned into a little rabbit, curled up on the back seat of the car, and bit his phone.
If growing up means separating from Father, then I don’t want to be human.
The Adjutant saw Wen Chu turn into a lop-eared rabbit in the rearview mirror and asked subconsciously, “Not feeling well? I’ll notify the Archon right now…”
“No, don’t call him. I just want to be a rabbit for a while.” Wen Chu curled into a ball, puffing angrily.
With a crisp crack, the lop-eared rabbit bit the phone screen into pieces.
A phone that can’t receive messages is a bad phone.
For the rest of the day, Wen Chu was listless.
He threw away the broken phone. Because he didn’t know how to explain to Secretary Li that he bit his phone, he simply didn’t take the spare one.
After finishing his homework and eating a little, Wen Chu went upstairs.
His bedroom was next to Xiu’s bedroom.
The place they lived in was the former Archon’s residence. The secondary bedroom next to the master bedroom was originally for the former Archon’s wife, so its size was not inferior to the master bedroom. There was even a door between the two rooms that could be pushed open to enter each other’s space directly.
However, after Xiu moved in, for safety reasons, that door was sealed and hadn’t been opened since.
Wen Chu intended to return to his own room, but paused when passing Xiu’s room.
Possessed by some strange impulse, he tried turning the door handle.
It turned.
Xiu hadn’t locked the door.
Wen Chu pushed the door open and entered.
Compared to two years ago, the room hadn’t changed much, except for the lack of his daily necessities. Xiu’s scent was even stronger.
It was that lingering cold fragrance that he could smell whenever he got close to Xiu.
“Father…”
Looking at the empty room, Wen Chu felt a sudden wave of grievance.
He closed the door, threw himself onto Xiu’s bed, inhaling Xiu’s scent. As soon as he looked up, he saw a photo frame standing on the bedside table.
In the photo frame was ten-year-old him, wearing clothes that were somewhat too big, dragging long sleeves, sitting obediently on Xiu’s lap looking at the camera.
Xiu was only twenty then, his brows sharp and cold, reaching out to protect him, the corners of his lips raised in a light smile.
It was when he had just been discharged from the hospital. Secretary Li bought clothes that were too big. Seeing him wear them, Xiu smiled mischievously and held him for a photo, saying it was a memento of his discharge.
Xiu actually developed this photo and put it by the bedside. Next to it was an acrylic display box containing the little rabbit he had folded back then.
…Sure enough, Xiu just likes raising children.
Wen Chu stared fixedly at the photo, then buried his head in the quilt after a while.
Curled up alone on the bed, he formed a stark contrast to the two people relying on each other in the photo.
When he was little, he had wished countless times to grow taller and older quickly so he could protect Xiu.
Now that he had grown up, he regretted it.
Wen Chu sniffled. Due to his emotional turmoil, he didn’t notice his body starting to heat up.
In the dark room, he wrapped himself tightly in Xiu’s quilt, inhaling the cold fragrance he had slept with since childhood, feeling in a trance as if he had returned to Xiu’s embrace, drifting off to sleep bit by bit.
Even his dreams were restless.
Wen Chu saw Xiu.
The Xiu who taught him how to touch himself for the first time.
Xiu pursed his lips, a little awkward. His large hand touched him, and after watching him finish in his arms, he couldn’t help but smile and tease him.
So hot.
Even after the relief, it’s still so hot.
Wen Chu stared blankly at the smile on Xiu’s lips, and suddenly reached out to touch it.
His fingertips touched the corner of the other’s lips, sending a sensation of coolness.
Only the parts close to Xiu felt cool.
So Wen Chu touched more.
He began to nuzzle Xiu’s cheek with his whole body, then tightly embraced Xiu, nestling in his arms and rubbing against him unbearably.
“Father…” Wen Chu called him softly.
Xiu’s face froze, then showed the same unnatural expression as the first time he heard him call “Father,” his earlobes turning red.
Wen Chu’s heart softened, and he couldn’t help burying himself in the crook of Xiu’s neck, calling out again.
“Father.”
I like him so much.
I want to hug Xiu like this forever, be cared for by Xiu forever, stay by Xiu’s side even after growing up…
Wen Chu felt even hotter. Even though he was almost completely pressed against Xiu now, the heat remained unbearable.
He whimpered, fluffy lop-eared rabbit ears appearing beside his head.
Xiu’s clothes had disappeared at some point.
Wen Chu saw the other’s lean and powerful waist, and those transparent blue eyes, always calm and composed, now misty with desire.
Looking further down, Xiu was actually sitting on top of him.
Not using his hands, but using himself to relieve him.
Wen Chu was stunned for a moment, then covered his eyes with his ears, his face flushing red.
Xiu’s voice, always carrying a hint of a smile, came to his ears: “Baby, isn’t this what you wanted?”
“Don’t you want to… do it with Father?”
?!???
Wen Chu was startled. Immediately, a sensation of weightlessness came. Before he could even steady Xiu’s waist, an anxious voice came to his ears:
“Wen Chu? Wen Chu??”
“Wake up…”
Wen Chu slowly opened his eyes.
He saw Xiu.
Not in a dream, but in reality.
Unknown what time it was deep in the night, the Archon, looking travel-worn, was frowning as he applied a cold compress to him while unbuttoning his clothes.
“Your heat cycle is messed up again for some reason. You’re in heat now.” Seeing him awake, Xiu quickly explained the situation.
“I’ll help you solve it first. I’ve already asked for leave for your classes tomorrow. We’ll call the doctor in the morning.”
The cold fragrance became even more intense.
Wen Chu’s fingertips moved, looking at Xiu’s waistline accentuated by the well-tailored suit.
He knew what he wanted.
