Chapter 1: At Least Leave Gong 1 Some Dignity as a Top
“Forget it. I’m dropping this mission.”
Late December. Snowflakes blurred the skyline of central Seoul, shrouding the high-rises in a misty white.
In the midst of this hazy purity, the Hollis Grand Hotel was hosting a Christmas banquet that gathered the entire entertainment industry’s elites.
Inside the banquet hall.
A strikingly handsome mixed-blood man leaned lazily against a Roman pillar, swirling his wine glass. This was Qi Huai—the transmigrator who was about to abandon his mission.
[What?! No way!]
System No. 3501 panicked, whirling in agitation.
“Why not?”
Qi Huai’s smile was warm but empty, his eyes cold as he read aloud the censored mission briefing:
“Transmigrator Qi Huai, greetings. Your mission objective is: redeem [BLEEP] protagonist [BLEEP], and achieve the Pure Love Redemption 1v1 achievement.”
Qi Huai: “And these censored blanks refer to…?”
The system faltered: […W-we can’t guess yet.]
Heh.
As expected.
A manhwa world. Say no more.
Qi Huai had long roamed Jinjiang-style worlds, but this was his first time entering the infamous, highly unstable realm of Korean BL manhwa.
A setup where one Shou had six gong entangled with him—fine. Six tops, all psychos—also fine. But now the mission briefing itself was riddled with bug-induced censorship, leaving him completely clueless as to who the actual target was.
Worse still—
Because the bug was so severe, only basic character outlines and the Shou’s encounter scenes with each gong remained. All other plot details were gone.
A total nightmare opening.
Qi Huai lowered his gaze with a sigh. “It’s not that I don’t want to take the mission… but every transmigrator gets 30 minutes to decide. If I refuse, the Main Brain won’t force me. The base’s motto is, ‘Human genetic hosts’ happiness comes first,’ isn’t it?”
[But!] the system tried to convince him, [If you refuse, your 100% perfect mission record will be broken! Doesn’t that matter to you?!]
Qi Huai raised a brow. “Should it?”
[Aren’t you a perfectionist?!]
Qi Huai blinked, genuinely surprised. “Who told you that? Impossible.”
He smiled politely. “As the only hybrid of ordinary human genes and Alpha genes, I accept imperfection.”
And it was precisely those imperfections—and the chaos they brought—that forced him to keep roaming mission worlds.
The system was struck speechless.
Qi Huai glanced at his Patek Philippe, worth over a billion won, and kindly reminded: “Even if I have 30 minutes to consider, according to the original plot, in about ten minutes, Gong 1, Yoon Nam-hyuk, will meet the protagonist Shou, Baek Soo-kyung.”
[Wh-what do you mean?]
Qi Huai explained patiently: “Ignore the censored parts for now. Regardless, our task is to achieve someone’s Pure Love Redemption 1v1, correct?”
[…Correct?]
Qi Huai: “The original manhwa cast has seven. Excluding me, there are six. Do you still remember each one’s profile?”
The system nodded nervously.
Shou, Baek Soo-kyung — neglected by family, 600 million won in debt, a failed 19-year-old trainee working endless part-time jobs, constantly one step away from ruin. The pitiful little lamb.
Gong 1, Yoon Nam-hyuk — foul-tempered CEO with a hidden s*x-addiction disorder; impotent yet constantly going into heat at random.
Gong 2, Choi Min-jun — gentle-looking manager with dark kinks: NTR and wiretapping.
Gong 3, Park Seok-jin — perfect senior idol, but narcissistic; seeks himself in every lover, even shouting his own name during sex.
Gong 4, Kim Min-kyung — actor from a prosecutor family; secretly an addict, drunkard, and owner of a shady nightclub empire.
Gong 5, Eun Chul-woo — British tycoon’s adopted son, new CEO in showbiz, looks like a buff dark-skinned alpha… but actually a cross-dresser who loves red skirts and white lace.
Gong 6, Qi Huai’s original body — a half-Chinese, half-American actor who gets aroused seeing men cry, and has a thing for sniffing underwear… arguably the “least crazy” of the bunch.
Conclusion:
Besides the Shou being a tragic cinnamon roll, every single top from 1 to 6 was a total pervert. Not a single good one among them!
Qi Huai coaxed gently: “So what’s the real priority if we want to complete this mission?”
[1v1?] the system guessed.
Qi Huai shook his head.
In a Jinjiang world, yes. But in manhwa worlds? The most precious thing was—
Pure love.
Redemption.
1v1.
The system’s eyes lit up: [You’re right! Most missions are about redeeming the Shou. And among this cast, only the Shou still has that pure-love vibe—he must be the target! Wuli host-oppa, you’re amazing!]
Qi Huai ignored the cringey nickname and tapped his watch. “Seven minutes until Gong 1 meets the Shou.”
[No! We can’t let them cross paths! Once they tangle, pure love is doomed! Do something, host!]
Qi Huai downed his champagne, smiling faintly. “Did I ever say I’d take the mission?”
[?!]
The system was stunned by his shamelessness.
—One minute later.
The gullible system and the record-holding mission master quickly struck a deal.
Qi Huai would accept the mission. In return, the system could provide him with three assists—without breaking world logic.
[Despicable! Cunning hybrid of human and Alpha genes!]
Qi Huai raised a brow. “Not ‘host-oppa’ anymore?”
[Tch!]
Shameless bastard!
In the original manhwa, the Shou and Gong 1’s first encounter was the most cliché of setups: the infamous “drugged wine” trope.
At the Christmas banquet, Yoon Nam-hyuk’s wine was spiked with an aphrodisiac. Feverish, he was “helped” into a private lounge—coincidentally, the same lounge where Baek Soo-kyung, who had stained his shirt, was trying to wash it.
Thus—
One lust-crazed predator, one half-undressed lamb.
One forcing, one powerless to resist.
Their twisted entanglement began.
[Ah! It’s Yoon Nam-hyuk!] the system yelped.
“Shh,” Qi Huai hushed.
Not far away, a nervous waiter was half-dragging, half-carrying Yoon Nam-hyuk. His face was pale, forehead sweaty, clearly not professional.
Qi Huai quickened his stride, cutting them off. “Waiter.”
“Ah!” The waiter jumped.
Seeing a stunningly dressed, breathtaking guest, he froze. This was not someone he could brush off.
“What is it, sir?”
Qi Huai’s smile was unyielding as he wrapped an arm around Yoon Nam-hyuk’s waist. “My friend seems drunk. Hand him over; I’ll take him to rest.”
The waiter’s palms sweated. “I… don’t know if you actually know him. If something were to happen—”
“You’re right. What if something did happen?” Qi Huai said smoothly. “Then let’s compromise—I’ll follow you while you take him. I’ll stay until he wakes. If you’re worried, you can even stay with me. How’s that?”
Of course, it wasn’t fine! The waiter’s eyes flickered. If this man was really close to Yoon Nam-hyuk, he’d be thrown straight in jail once the drugs took effect.
F*ck this job. Not worth it!
He shoved Yoon Nam-hyuk into Qi Huai’s arms. “I only wanted to help since he looked drunk. Since you’re his friend, please take care of him. I’ve got work to do!”
Qi Huai: “…”
The man in his arms radiated heat like a furnace. A tiny red mole at his nose brushed against Qi Huai’s chin as he leaned in. Qi Huai adjusted his hold and carried him fully into his embrace.
And then—he scooped him up, bridal style.
[Host… at least leave Gong 1 some dignity as a top!]
The system wailed.
Qi Huai chuckled. “This way’s faster.”
Besides—he quickly realized—Yoon Nam-hyuk wasn’t fully unconscious.
Qi Huai carried him to the furthest lounge, tossed the tall man face-down onto the bed. Yoon Nam-hyuk lay unmoving.
Qi Huai couldn’t help but laugh. Straightening his clothes and tie, he smirked: “Not going to wake up? You’ll suffocate like that.”
“Ha.”
Yoon Nam-hyuk pushed himself up with a cold laugh, fixing his gaze on Qi Huai. His raised brows and gleaming eyes were sharp as obsidian. “If I don’t wake, doesn’t it make things more convenient for you?”
Qi Huai glanced at his flushed face, lips curving. “Convenient for what? For me to fu-ck you?”
“You little shit!” Yoon Nam-hyuk hurled a crystal ornament at him, eyes blazing with fury. “Who the hell do you think you are, to joke with me?”
The ornament crashed to the ground.
Qi Huai dodged, frowning. “You’ve misunderstood.”
“Misunderstood? Like what?” Yoon Nam-hyuk panted, expression twisted with disgust.
“Like the person trying to harm you wasn’t me. I just happened to save you.”
“I know it wasn’t you.” Yoon Nam-hyuk’s face grew redder, his pale skin flushed with feverish heat. He sneered. “You’re just a handy tool. A knife. Coincidence? I don’t believe in luck.”
“And one more thing…” He narrowed his eyes. “When you speak to me, use honorifics.”
[Ah! Host!]
Oooohhh the first chapter is already interesting
