JGA CH110.2
The school ball, which was held every semester, was organized very quickly. The major clubs and classes had a clear division of labor, and it was ready in a few days.
That night, the entire campus was filled with a hazy and ambiguous atmosphere. Blue and purple lights flickered everywhere in the venue. Yoon Nam-hyuk actually had the feeling of falling into a Disney fairy tale…
If only life could have a perfect ending like a fairy tale, Yoon Nam-hyuk thought.
“Wow, Yoon, you look so handsome,” Amanda looked Yoon Nam-hyuk up and down, then took his arm in satisfaction and secretly probed, “Where’s Qi? Why aren’t you together?”
“Mmm, no…” Yoon Nam-hyuk avoided Amanda’s gaze. “There are delicious cookies at the cold food table over there. Do you want some?”
Amanda: “…Are they as delicious as mine?”
Young man, what a clumsy way to change the subject.
In such a grand school ball, everyone had their own little thoughts.
Some were full of competition, wanting to win the title of King or Queen of the ball, trying to become the object of admiration and flattery in the new semester.
Some roamed the venue, frantically hunting for a one-night stand to find warmth on a lonely night.
As for some people, they were really looking for a partner.
Tonight, Qi Huai was dressed to the nines. He was already tall, and his body proportions were good. He was the perfect clothes hanger for a formal suit. So when he put on a specially customized luxury brand suit, he was no different from a top model.
From his clothes to his perfume to every strand of his hair, everything was personally handled by Qi Huai. He was exquisite and perfect, like a peacock in courtship.
“You rarely have such a flamboyant moment,” the blond classmate was amazed. “It’s just a school ball that happens every semester. Is it necessary?”
School balls are common, but the person you like is not. Learn some Chinese, you pure-bred foreigners, Qi Huai smiled politely and dropped a bombshell in a low voice, “I’m going to confess tonight.”
“WTF!!!!!” The blond classmate was dumbfounded and spat out a mouthful of juice. “To whom?! It’s not Louis, is it? Did you develop feelings for that peeping tom who uses you as his X-rated fantasy object?”
Qi Huai glanced at him. “Are you crazy?”
The blond classmate laughed a few times. “Then who is it? I’ve never seen you get particularly close to any girl… the cheerleading captain? Or that famous sexy Barbie from the senior year? Or that little nerd who won the math competition?”
He guessed more than ten names in a row. Seeing Qi Huai’s frown getting tighter and tighter, he finally gave up. “Please tell me. I really can’t figure out your taste.”
Qi Huai’s lips curved slightly. “Yoon Nam-hyuk, you’ve met him.”
“Who?” The blond classmate was shocked. “The little Asian cutie you brought on the first day of school? Isn’t that a boy?”
“What’s wrong with being a boy?” Qi Huai smiled, his eyes compelling. “We’re a good match, don’t you think?”
“Uh, well…”
They were both handsome and beautiful Asians. If you ignored the shock of their gender, the two of them were indeed a good match.
He really didn’t expect Qi Huai to like boys.
The blond classmate shrugged. “Anyway, I wish you success. When are you planning to confess?”
“I’m not sure yet…” Qi Huai sighed in frustration. “He’s not been talking to me much lately. He avoids me whenever he sees me. I’ll find him first and then we’ll talk.”
“Ah, what does that mean?” The blond classmate was confused again. “He’s not talking to you even though you’re at the stage of confessing? Then shouldn’t you… uh, wait a little longer?”
Qi Huai: “No, I can’t wait any longer. He’s determined to go back to Korea recently. I have to let him know my feelings before that.”
Blond classmate: “Go back to Korea?”
Qi Huai: “Mm, to avoid me.”
emmm…
Blond classmate: “Did you hurt him?”
“Of course not!” Qi Huai continued to be frustrated. “Maybe it’s because my dad and his mom are planning to get married. I’m not really sure. I’ve been wanting to talk to him.”
emmm………………
Blond classmate: “You mean, you’re going to confess to your stepbrother?”
Qi Huai nodded.
Wow~
Blond classmate: “Qi, I don’t mean to be discriminatory, but is your Asian heritage… Japanese?”
“…” Qi Huai was speechless. “Do you want to get beaten up?”
They didn’t get along well. Qi Huai soon abandoned his blond classmate and began to wander around the venue, looking for Yoon Nam-hyuk and Amanda in the dim, noisy, and crowded ballroom.
He also sent a message to Amanda: “Where are you?”
Amanda was being watched closely by Yoon Nam-hyuk and had no chance to check her phone, let alone tip him off. She could only chat with Yoon Nam-hyuk.
“I say…” Amanda asked, “Are you and Qi having a fight recently?”
Yoon Nam-hyuk immediately denied it. “Who said that? We’re fine.”
Amanda: “Come on, don’t try to fool me. You two used to be inseparable, but now you don’t even talk to each other. I know you too well. It can’t escape my eyes. What’s the reason? Can’t you just tell me? Did he bully you?”
Yoon Nam-hyuk pursed his lips. “…No, it’s not his problem. It’s me. I’m not used to the new school, and I’m a little stressed.”
Amanda’s eyes lit up. “Sigh, you know what? It’s the first time I’ve seen Qi so troubled by love. His appetite has even gotten smaller recently.”
The ballroom was very noisy. The music was so loud it was deafening. Yoon Nam-hyuk was confused. “What? What’s wrong with his appetite? Doesn’t he eat every meal?”
The appetite of a teenager is so scary. I’ve always thought Qi Huai has the potential to be a big eater. If he still eats this much in a few years, he might get a potbelly.
Amanda raised her voice. “I’m saying—ah!”
A huge force suddenly pushed from behind. A glass of fruit smoothie with a whipped cream topping was spilled all over Amanda’s dress. It was a sticky mess. She was furious. “My dress!”
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry,” the curly-haired boy grabbed a few tissues and helped Amanda wipe her dress. “Those dancers are too crowded. I didn’t see… Yoon?”
Yoon Nam-hyuk was also stunned. “Louis?”
“You know each other?” Amanda was suspicious. Didn’t you say you’re not used to the new school? How come you even have a new friend?
Yoon Nam-hyuk mumbled “mm.”
Louis, on the other hand, kept staring at Amanda’s dress. He called over a club volunteer who was serving at the venue and said a few words, then said to Amanda, “Ma’am, your dress is not going to work like this. Let him take you to the lounge to get it cleaned. There’s a special dry cleaning agent there.”
It was indeed embarrassing to walk around with a dirty dress. Amanda left with the volunteer. Louis stayed where he was, standing with Yoon Nam-hyuk.
“Did you give him the photos?” Louis stared at Yoon Nam-hyuk.
Of course he didn’t. Those photos were still under Yoon Nam-hyuk’s pillow. But he had no choice but to say he did, and he even thanked Louis in Qi Huai’s name.
Louis smiled. “That’s good.”
However, the next moment, Louis suddenly leaned closer and said, “Actually, you didn’t give them to him at all, did you?”
Yoon Nam-hyuk’s breath caught. “Hmm?”
“Hehe, don’t try to fool me. Didn’t I say last time that I know you have a crush on him, you just don’t dare to admit it.”
Yoon Nam-hyuk didn’t speak.
“It’s okay, if you don’t dare to admit it, then forget it~” Louis’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Actually, I have something better than photos. It’s a video. Do you want it? Some school activities are recorded for promotional videos. After the promotional videos are made, the raw footage is useless. There’s a whole bunch of them stored in the utility storage room.”
Yoon Nam-hyuk was a little tempted.
He thought to himself, I have to go back to Korea sooner or later. I don’t know when I’ll see Qi Huai again. Maybe I’ll never see him again. I only have photos now. If I have more videos…
“What are your conditions?” Yoon Nam-hyuk asked.
Louis blinked. “I knew it… actually, there are no conditions. Just have a few more drinks with me, how about it?”
“Alcohol?”
Louis wagged his index finger. “Although it’s also colorful, it’s definitely not alcohol. But I can’t tell you what it is now. If you don’t agree, then forget it.”
He said that and pretended to leave. Yoon Nam-hyuk grabbed him. “Okay.”
Louis’s lips curled into a smile, and his narrowed eyes sparkled. He looked back at Yoon Nam-hyuk. “Follow me.”
“Wait, Amanda hasn’t…”
Louis pressed his hand on his hand and put the phone back in Yoon Nam-hyuk’s pocket. “By the time she’s done, we’ll be back long ago. It’s very close. If we don’t hurry, those things will be thrown away.”
Amanda tried her best to get her dress clean. It was said to be clean, but in fact, if you looked at it under normal light, there was still a large stain. It was just not obvious in the dim light of the ballroom.
“Sigh, I have to send it to the dry cleaner. It’s so expensive. That guy should have paid for it,” Amanda pouted. “Forget it, since he’s an acquaintance of Yoon… hmm? Where’s Yoon?”
Amanda went back to where she was but couldn’t see Yoon Nam-hyuk’s shadow at all. She asked the people around, but no one had paid attention to this kind of thing.
“Where did he go?” Amanda called Yoon Nam-hyuk, but the call didn’t go through. There was no signal. “No signal? Classmate, does your phone have a signal?”
Others had it, and she had it too. So it wasn’t a problem with the venue. Where did Yoon go?
Amanda was inexplicably anxious. She found Qi Huai’s profile picture in the chat software and happened to see the message he had sent earlier, asking where they were.
She called him.
Qi Huai, who had just searched half of the venue, finally got a reply from Amanda. Before he could speak, he heard Amanda say, “I’ve lost Yoon. I can’t get through to his phone. Have you seen him?”
“Can’t get through?” Qi Huai frowned.
Amanda described what had just happened. When she mentioned the name Louis, Qi Huai was stunned. “Who did you say his acquaintance was?”
Amanda: “Yoon called him Louis. His hair is brown and curly. He’s thin and wearing light makeup. He’s easy to recognize.”
Louis…
Of course, Qi Huai knew who Louis was.
That guy was a year older than Qi Huai. When Qi Huai had just enrolled, he was the vice president of the “Like Boys” club and was recruiting new members for the club.
This club not only recruited homosexuals, but also people who supported homosexuality, so many eye-catching handsome men and beautiful women were also their recruitment targets.
Qi Huai was too conspicuous. As soon as he entered the school, he attracted the attention of many people, including Louis. He was the first person to rush to Qi Huai and invite him to join the club, but Qi Huai was not interested in their club.
Louis was very persistent, even a little paranoid. In order to get Qi Huai to join the club, he tried every means to observe and investigate Qi Huai, hoping to find some breakthrough. But for some reason, the more this guy investigated, the more he fell for him, until he began to be crazily obsessed with Qi Huai.
From then on, wherever there was Qi Huai, there was him. Louis didn’t even care about the club’s affairs anymore. It was as if Qi Huai had put some kind of magic potion on him, and he was staring at Qi Huai every moment.
The vice president of the club didn’t do anything every day and just chased after his junior. This was not acceptable. The president and a few club members went to Louis’s house to visit without being invited, but unexpectedly found that Louis’s secret base was full of photos and videos of Qi Huai—the kind that were taken secretly.
The news spread like wildfire. Louis instantly went from a persistent suitor to a stalker and a pervert, and was kicked out of the club.
Then this guy took a leave of absence from school. It was unknown when he came back. He was quite low-key and had no sense of presence.
In short, it was definitely not a good thing for this guy to take Yoon Nam-hyuk away. Qi Huai immediately ran to the monitoring room.
On the other side.
Yoon Nam-hyuk was following Louis through the corridors of the teaching building. “How much farther?”
“Almost there, almost there. Don’t be impatient. I already told you it’s an abandoned storage room,” Louis pouted.
Yoon Nam-hyuk felt that the other’s attitude was strange, but since he was someone he had interacted with several times, he didn’t think too much of it. He just felt that the storage room was a bit too far, and Amanda’s dress was also taking a bit long to wash.
Before long, Louis said they had arrived.
It was indeed an abandoned storage room, at the very corner of the top floor of the teaching building. If you didn’t have to go this way, probably no one would have found it.
At this time, the quiet teaching building and the noisy ballroom on the opposite side of the building formed a sharp contrast. Yoon Nam-hyuk looked at the ballroom from afar, and suddenly missed Qi Huai a little, wondering what the other was doing.
“Come in,” Louis smiled and gestured towards the door with his chin. “See that box? I’ve prepared it all for you. Go and see if you like it.”
The room was full of clutter, and there was little space to walk. There were sculptures, display stands, lamps… it seemed to be a place where art installations were stored.
Louis put the box next to the only circular platform. The box was bigger than a shoebox, no wonder the other said they could only trade in the storage room. Because it was far away and the room was dark, Yoon Nam-hyuk couldn’t see what the circular platform was for, but he just felt that it wasn’t a table.
“You’re not going to back out, are you?” Seeing that Yoon Nam-hyuk didn’t move for a long time, Louis suddenly showed an impatient expression. He pretended to close the door. “If you don’t want it, then forget it. I’ll sell it to someone else. If I find a discerning customer, maybe I can get a few hundred dollars for it.”
“Wait!” Yoon Nam-hyuk grabbed Louis’s arm. “I didn’t say I don’t want it.”
Louis grabbed Yoon Nam-hyuk back. “Then can you hurry up? Do you think it’s so easy to get the key to the storage room? Get the stuff and let’s go. I’ll be screwed if the security guard finds me.”
He dragged Yoon Nam-hyuk inside, his tone hurried, and even a bit fierce.
Yoon Nam-hyuk was pulled and stumbled. Only then did he realize that the platform where the box was located was actually surrounded by a pool of water. He couldn’t see how deep the pool was, let alone how much water was in it.
He had a bad feeling, but it was too late. The other took out a taser from his pocket and poked it at Yoon Nam-hyuk’s waist. His legs immediately went weak, and he was half-dragged and half-carried by Louis and thrown down.
With a “splash,” the cold water submerged his head. Yoon Nam-hyuk choked on a few mouthfuls of water. Just when he thought he would drown from the weakness in his limbs, the strength in his fingertips gradually returned. He struggled and swam, and finally held on to the wall of the pool…
Fortunately, the water level was not high.
Unfortunately, his feet were a little weak now. If he could stand up straight, the water would probably reach his thighs.
“You’re lucky,” Louis snorted. “Don’t worry, you won’t die. I’m just playing with you, neighbor.”
School bullying was very common in both Korea and the United States. Yoon Nam-hyuk had never thought that this kind of thing would happen to him.
“Why?” he asked, puzzled.
“Why?” Louis sneered. “Your information is really not up to date. But I did give you a chance. If you had given the photos to Qi Huai, you would have known who I am. Unfortunately, you didn’t.”
“A crush is very painful, isn’t it? You can’t get the other person, so you want to store their image. At first, it’s photos, then it’s videos, and you’re still not satisfied, but there’s nothing you can do. Because of the leave of absence, you don’t even have the chance to watch the other person from afar! It’s really too painful!”
Louis looked down at Yoon Nam-hyuk in the pool, his eyes resentful. “I’m already in so much pain, but there are still competitors, one after another, it’s endless, so annoying! And you’re even his neighbor? Damn rich people, you’re so lucky!”
His clothes were soaked and clinging to his body. Yoon Nam-hyuk sneezed and his expression suddenly changed. “You like him? Did you secretly take those photos?”
If that’s the case, then the trivial matters about Qi Huai that the other had told him were probably also obtained through peeping.
Louis was triumphant. “The photos were indeed taken by me. You got them cheap. But the story I told you that day was made up. Only I can recall his every move. I won’t give you that for free.”
What a perverted thought…
Yoon Nam-hyuk pursed his lips and wiped the water off his face. But what was the difference between him and the other? They were both destined to never get what they wanted, so they wanted to store everything related to Qi Huai.
“What good will this do you? Will he like you if you throw me into the pool?” On this matter, they were definitely different.
Yoon Nam-hyuk thought to himself, because I like Qi Huai, I’m afraid my feelings will affect his life, and I’m also afraid that my staring at him will be disliked, so I choose to stay away.
Qi Huai is a person who likes freedom. He wouldn’t want to be tied down by this kind of overly possessive and perverted feeling.
“I know he doesn’t like me. You don’t have to remind me, neighbor,” Louis said viciously. “If he doesn’t like me, then so be it. Of course he can not like me. But even if he doesn’t like me, he can’t like anyone else!”
Yoon Nam-hyuk was stunned, unable to understand. “You’re being unreasonable. It’s his freedom to like whoever he wants. He has the right to pursue happiness!”
“Ha!” Louis sneered and said nothing.
He opened the box, took out a pile of paint, squeezed it into the bucket next to him, stirred it into a disgusting color, and poured it over Yoon Nam-hyuk’s head. “Say whatever you want, but I’m warning you, if you dare to get close to Qi Huai again, like him, or pester him, I’ll do something more serious next time! The bucket won’t be filled with paint, it’ll be filled with sulfuric acid!”
There seemed to be other things in the bucket. The smell was pungent. Yoon Nam-hyuk retched and felt a little like throwing up. He couldn’t say a word.
Louis was triumphant. “What, are you scared?”
He added, “I knew you would be scared, just like those people. What right to pursue happiness? How do you know Qi Huai will be happy with someone else?”
Louis: “Qi Huai is one of a kind. He’s so perfect, everything is good. Everyone wants him. Do you think everyone likes him as sincerely as I do? Ask yourself, do you sincerely like him?”
Yoon Nam-hyuk was still retching. He thought to himself, I do. I love him to death. It’s because I love him that I made the decision to leave, and that’s why I’m in so much pain.
“You’re not the first person to have a crush on him,” Louis snorted. “Those people who claim to like Qi Huai, who have been threatened by me, they say they like Qi Huai and call me a madman, but they don’t dare to appear in front of Qi Huai again! That’s right, I’m a madman! So what? They can’t even withstand my threat, what kind of love is that? They don’t deserve it!”
Louis said with a resounding voice, “I’m doing this for Qi Huai’s good!”
Yoon Nam-hyuk was stunned.
For his good?
I’m also doing this for his good.
Louis was still saying something. Those chattering words had become an irrelevant background noise to Yoon Nam-hyuk at this moment. He silently wiped the paint off his face with the inside of his shirt, while staring at the dark water in a daze.
Louis said he was doing it for Qi Huai’s good, but he was actually doing things that Qi Huai didn’t like, so Qi Huai didn’t like him and ignored him.
I also said I was doing it for Qi Huai’s good, so I privately decided to leave, avoiding Qi Huai every day, watching him go in circles, but telling myself that a long pain is better than a short one.
I thought about so many things, presupposed so many difficulties for our relationship, and thought I was doing it for his good. I made a decision privately and executed it according to my own ideas, but I never asked him what he wanted or if he liked me doing this. What’s the difference between me and Louis?
It turns out I’m very bad.
I’m a bad person.
I’m hurting Qi Huai.
“Hey! I’m talking to you! Did you hear me!” Louis was furious at Yoon Nam-hyuk’s sudden distraction. He immediately picked up the bucket and continued to squeeze paint into it, clearly intending to give Yoon Nam-hyuk another bucket.
Unfortunately, he was going to be disappointed. Just as Louis had squeezed two tubes of paint, the door of the storage room was pushed open with a “bang.” The anxious-looking Qi Huai rushed into the room with two school security guards and unceremoniously pushed Louis aside.
“Little hyuk! Give me your hand!”
The unlit room was dark. Qi Huai’s tall half-body protruded from the side of the pool, looking at people only by the moonlight. His strong arms were like a firm rope, hanging down steadily. “Little hyuk?”
Against the light, Yoon Nam-hyuk couldn’t see Qi Huai’s face and expression clearly, but just by hearing his voice, he was so excited he wanted to cry.
“I miss you,” Yoon Nam-hyuk murmured.
Louis, who was being held down by the security guard, was shouting, “Qi Huai! It’s been a long time since I’ve been so close to you! Give me a chance, okay!”
Qi Huai turned a deaf ear and stubbornly reached out to Yoon Nam-hyuk, continuing to lower his body and said softly, “Grab me. We can talk when we get up, okay? The water is cold, you’ll get sick.”
The water in the pool was indeed very cold.
But his heart was scorching hot.
Yoon Nam-hyuk wiped his eyes, stepped on the water outlet on the inside of the pool wall, and firmly grasped Qi Huai’s hand. The pool wall was about two meters high. Qi Huai used all his strength to half-carry and half-pull Yoon Nam-hyuk out, holding him tightly and not letting go.
“You scared me to death,” he said.
Louis, who was being held on the ground, was almost furious. He stared at them and questioned, “What’s your relationship! What’s your relationship! Neighbors! You talk! Talk to me! Did you lie to me!”
Yoon Nam-hyuk suddenly felt an urge. This reckless courage was even a gift from Louis. He held Qi Huai’s face, looked into his eyes, and shouted, “I didn’t lie to you! I do have a crush on him! I like him, I’ve liked him for a long time! I’m a coward. I didn’t dare to tell the person I liked. I even wanted to run away. I’m a bad person, I—!”
The rest of his words were blocked back into his mouth by Qi Huai. Qi Huai, whose lips were still smiling, held the back of Yoon Nam-hyuk’s dirty and paint-covered head and kissed him by the dirty pool.
This was their first kiss.
Louis was stunned and suddenly burst out with a sky-shattering shout, “Ah————————!”
He thrashed around like a dead fish. The security guards desperately held him down, glancing at the kissing Qi Huai and Yoon Nam-hyuk with a grimace. Young people, it’s good to be young~
Amanda, who had just entered the room, screamed in fright, “FUCK!”
She was going blind. She saw Qi Huai kissing a dirty and smelly homeless person!
A teenager in love is simply shameless. Qi Huai held the dirty Yoon Nam-hyuk tightly and kissed him against the side of the pool, unable to bear to let go.
Until the almost suffocated Yoon Nam-hyuk finally pushed him away, Qi Huai sighed, “…God, what did Louis give you? A magic potion?”
Yoon Nam-hyuk seemed to have been kissed silly.
Qi Huai put his own coat on him and took the colorful person home. The corners of his mouth never went down the whole time. He even hummed a song while driving.
At this time, Father Qi and Ms. Hyun had not come back yet. Even if they had, they would have gone to Qi Huai’s house. In order not to be discovered by the adults, the two of them could only secretly come to Yoon Nam-hyuk’s house to take a shower, and they didn’t even turn on the bedroom light.
After taking a shower, the two of them sat together wrapped in towels. Amanda made them hot chocolate milk, and also macarons and cookies with LOVE written on them in cream.
Before Amanda left, she instructed, “If you like each other, don’t miss it! Youngsters, be honest, don’t do stupid things!”
When she said this, she kept staring at Yoon Nam-hyuk. Yoon Nam-hyuk was so ashamed that he buried his face in his knees and said “mm.”
The door closed with a “click.”
Yoon Nam-hyuk buried his face in his knees and didn’t look up. Qi Huai didn’t rush him and just sat beside him, smiling.
“Stop laughing!” Yoon Nam-hyuk’s ears were flushed, and he couldn’t help but say, “What’s so funny!”
Qi Huai drank the chocolate milk in one gulp with a smile. “The person I like also likes me. What’s wrong with me laughing a few more times?”
Yoon Nam-hyuk peeked at him from the edge of his arm. His wet eyes were shining with shy light. Qi Huai stared at that eye, his Adam’s apple rolled, and he felt that this cup of hot chocolate milk was a bit too hot, making his whole body burn.
“You’ve never said you like me,” Yoon Nam-hyuk said sullenly. “I thought you didn’t like boys.”
“I don’t like boys,” Qi Huai said.
Yoon Nam-hyuk was stunned, and the light in his eyes instantly extinguished. Qi Huai was startled. “That’s not what I mean. What I mean is that I’ve never liked any other boy. I only like you.”
This sentence of “I like you” was like the fire of Prometheus, igniting the hope in Yoon Nam-hyuk’s eyes. The light in his eyes was rekindled, like moonlight, like starlight. It was simply the most beautiful thing Qi Huai had ever seen in his life.
Qi Huai licked his lips and pounced on Yoon Nam-hyuk on the bed, kissing him with a tongue that smelled of chocolate milk.
Yoon Nam-hyuk hugged Qi Huai’s neck and kissed him back. He was so obedient. From this moment on, he decided to be Qi Huai’s follower for the rest of his life, sticking to him and never letting go.
The more they kissed, the more they got into it. They were clumsy. Yoon Nam-hyuk put his hand inside Qi Huai’s shirt. Qi Huai pulled a pillow and put it under Yoon Nam-hyuk’s waist… hmm?
A few photos were exposed from under the pillow. Qi Huai picked them up under Yoon Nam-hyuk’s shocked gaze and laughed. “You like me so much? You even have to sleep on me. I’m so slow, I didn’t even notice.”
Yoon Nam-hyuk was so ashamed he could die. “Give them back!”
Qi Huai threw the photos on the bedside table and smiled wickedly. “The photos are familiar. Louis took them, right? What’s the point of keeping photos taken by a pervert? If you like to sleep on me, then sleep on me. If you like to look at me, then look at me. If you like to kiss me, then kiss me. Even if you want to do bad things to me like DIY… it’s okay, I’ll help you myself.”
He took off his shirt with one hand. This action made Yoon Nam-hyuk vaguely remember the first time they met. He was mesmerized and murmured, “Qi Huai, I like you so much.”
Actually, I liked you from the first time we met.
Qi Huai smiled. “I’ll make you like me even more later.”
(End of this extra)
Erm… so beyond morality there is an issue with the Father’s advice that “the affairs of adults are for the adults and the children do theirs” (paraphrased). That is just… not true. It may work out if the family manages to stay together to the end, but it’s more likely that conflicts will entangle all four. Let’s say the parents have an argument and the mom takes her son back to Korea for a bit. Is that really not going to impact the children’s relationship? Or if the kids argue and the parents get tired of mediating or the parents feel uncomfortable walking in on their kids getting it on. Family relationships can be hard to maintain even when they are not a blended household. I’m not saying it can’t work, but papa was definitely just coaxing his son so that the kids would not get in the way of his new marriage. At least papa did not insist on breaking up the boys to get with the mother, but he said that more to say that he was firmly going to marry the lady whether the kids dated or not.
Tbf it does show how much the parents like each other and this is a fiction world so the author may have meant that advice to be given sincerely. Just perhaps maybe don’t take those words into real life. Reality is always more complicated.
After all, why did the parents even bother breaking the news to their children if the dad really believed there would be no impact. XD
