He Is Constantly Jealous Of Himself

JOH CH71: First Night Fantasies

The day they were discharged was a sunny day. The weather in late August was still very hot, with high outdoor temperatures.

Gu Yuanting, worried that Ranran would get sunburnt, instructed the driver to pull the car directly downstairs to the inpatient department building to wait.

Although Su Yiran’s wound had healed, it wasn’t completely recovered, and without painkillers, he would feel a dull ache when walking around. They would need to return to the hospital for a follow-up check-up in a month.

Gu Yuanting couldn’t bear to let Ranran walk. He directly picked up Su Yiran, carrying him all the way out of the ward and downstairs.

Along the corridors and in the inpatient lobby, there were many nurses and patients. Su Yiran felt the gazes of others and couldn’t help but feel a little shy, burying his face in Ting-ge’s chest.

Gu Yuanting looked down at the shy Ranran, resisting the urge to kiss him.

Father Su, Mother Su, and the two nannies followed beside them. Mother Su held the swaddled baby, and Father Su and the nanny helped carry their belongings. They were already accustomed to Gu Yuanting’s protectiveness towards Su Yiran and followed calmly.

The driver was already waiting at the entrance of the inpatient department. Seeing President Gu and Mr. Su emerge, he quickly opened a black parasol for them. Gu Yuanting shielded Ranran, carefully helping him into the car parked by the roadside at the entrance.

A total of three cars came to pick them up. Gu Yuanting and Su Yiran rode in one car, while the others took the other two.

Only after getting into the car did Gu Yuanting finally lean over and kiss Ranran: “We’re home.”

Su Yiran quickly glanced at the driver, and only relaxed when he saw that a partition blocked their view. He smiled at Ting-ge: “Mm, we’re home.”

Although the hospital room was furnished like a high-end apartment and quite comfortable, it still wasn’t as comfortable as their own home.

The car slowly drove away from the hospital and soon arrived home.

For this discharge, they only packed essential items to bring back. Many other things remained in the hospital ward. Gu Yuanting had already instructed someone else to pack them, and everything would be delivered home tomorrow.

Father Su and Mother Su still stayed in the guest room, and the baby was in the nursery. The two postpartum nannies took turns staying with the baby at night.

Originally, the baby was too young, and Su Yiran wanted the baby to sleep in the master bedroom with him and Ting-ge. Mother Su felt the same way, uneasy about the baby being in the nursery, and even suggested letting the baby sleep in the guest room with her and Father Su.

However, Gu Yuanting quickly convinced them: “The nannies are professionals. Letting them take turns staying overnight allows them to maintain their energy and better care for the baby, without getting exhausted and making mistakes.” Their reliability and patience over the ten days in the hospital were evident to all. Su Yiran and Mother Su thought about it and finally agreed.

On the day they came home, Su Yiran finally got to have a proper bath. Although he had been wiped down daily in the hospital and was clean, he had to be mindful of the wound and couldn’t bathe. He always felt psychologically a bit dirty.

Gu Yuanting wouldn’t allow Su Yiran to bathe himself. He went into the bathroom, filled the tub with water, adjusted the temperature, and then, just like when he used to bathe him, came back, undressed Ranran, carried him into the warm bathroom, and began to bathe him.

Su Yiran felt his skin had thickened; he was surprisingly calm, showing no blush or rapid heartbeat.

During the bath, Gu Yuanting inevitably saw the scar on Ranran’s abdomen. It had already closed and scabbed over, the scar was white and appeared relatively flat and smooth, almost invisible on Ranran’s fair skin.

Gu Yuanting carefully avoided the wound on his abdomen, protecting it from getting wet. After bathing Ranran, he wrapped him in a dry towel, gently wiped away all the water droplets, and then helped him change into his pajamas.

Su Yiran was carried back to bed by Ting-ge and instinctively glanced at the bedside. In the hospital ward, the baby’s bassinet was not far from his bed, always within his line of sight.

But now, his bedside was empty. Su Yiran couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed. On the very first night he slept in a separate room from the baby, he already missed him.

Gu Yuanting noticed his gaze, guessing that Ranran was thinking of the baby. Seeing the look of disappointment on Ranran’s little face, he quickly said, “Shall I bring the baby over?”

Su Yiran’s eyes lit up, and he quickly nodded: “Okay.”

The baby’s nursery was on the second floor, very close to his parents’ guest room. Gu Yuanting went downstairs, carried the sleeping baby upstairs, and as soon as he brought him into the room, he saw Ranran looking eagerly at the doorway, clearly waiting expectantly for the baby.

Even though the baby had been with them all day at the hospital, Ranran missed him so much after being separated for just a short while.

Su Yiran saw Ting-ge bring the baby back and quickly reached out his hands, clearly wanting to hold the baby.

Gu Yuanting looked down at the little baby in his arms. The baby’s skin had not yet lost its redness, but it was no longer as wrinkled. Gu Yuanting thought to himself, still a bit ugly.

He didn’t delay and handed the baby to Su Yiran. Seeing Ranran holding the baby, staring intently at him, and even intimately rubbing foreheads and kissing him, Gu Yuanting’s heart felt both a pang of sourness and a wave of softness.

He was both a little jealous and fond of the scene, feeling somewhat torn.

Gu Yuanting watched silently for a while, clearing his mind. That was his and Ranran’s child, his little angel, now holding their even smaller little angel.

As Gu Yuanting thought, his heart completely softened. He sat down by the bed, close to Ranran, and embraced both the big and small angels.

Being with Ranran and the baby, a family of three, a peaceful and warm little home life – he had longed for this, hadn’t he?

Su Yiran looked up at Ting-ge, smiled at him, then looked down at the sleeping baby, and whispered, “The baby is sleeping so soundly.”

Gu Yuanting nodded and looked at the baby in his arms with Ranran: “He seems to have grown a little these past few days.”

The two leaned against each other, watching the baby and speaking softly. After a while, Gu Yuanting, fearing that Su Yiran would get tired holding the baby, took the baby from him: “Your wound isn’t fully healed yet, I’ll hold him.”

As soon as he picked up the baby, it was as if he had flipped a switch on the baby. The baby suddenly woke up, opened his eyes, glanced at Gu Yuanting, and then cried out.

Gu Yuanting: “…”

Su Yiran couldn’t help but laugh, though he was already familiar with the baby crying upon waking: “Did he pee?”

Gu Yuanting felt the baby’s diaper, and indeed it was wet. He put the baby on the bed and went to the cabinet to find a new diaper. They also kept baby supplies in their room.

Gu Yuanting unfastened the baby’s wet diaper. He had changed it many times in the hospital, so his movements were very skillful.

But this time, an accident occurred. Just as he was about to put on a clean diaper, the baby suddenly urinated again, a stream of liquid squirted out, and a few drops even splashed onto Gu Yuanting’s face…

Gu Yuanting: “…”

Gu Yuanting straightened up expressionlessly, wiping his face.

This was the peaceful and warm little family life of a family of three…

Su Yiran was nearly dying of laughter, but he had to be mindful of his wound and couldn’t laugh too hard, otherwise, he might double over.

Seeing Ting-ge’s expressionless face looking at the baby, he desperately tried to suppress his laughter: “Ting-ge, the baby probably wasn’t done peeing when he woke up just now, and you disturbed him, so he stopped… Why don’t you go wash your face first? I’ll change him.”

Su Yiran had learned a lot these past few days; changing a diaper was something he could do.

Gu Yuanting still didn’t let Ranran do it. He wiped his face and hands with a tissue and stoically continued to change the baby’s diaper.

The baby had stopped crying, innocently blinking at Gu Yuanting and even smiling at him, impossibly cute.

Gu Yuanting: “…”

Gu Yuanting silently went to the bathroom and silently cleaned himself up.

The first night home ended so stoically.

Over the next two weeks, Su Yiran drank nourishing soups every other day, such as black chicken soup, longan and lotus seed soup, and Angelica sinensis, red date, and pork rib soup, along with qi and blood-boosting vegetables and fruits, making his complexion increasingly radiant.

Because he recovered well and his physical condition was good, two days ago, Aunt Qian, the postpartum nanny, taught him some postpartum rehabilitation exercises. From now on, he would practice for half an hour every afternoon in their home gym.

That day, Su Yiran was practicing in the gym. Gu Yuanting, as usual, accompanied him, helping him with leg raises and arm stretches, correcting his posture.

Su Yiran was on his knees on a yoga mat in the gym, his buttocks pressed against his heels. Then, he straightened his back, placed his hands on the yoga mat, lifted his buttocks, and extended his leg backward.

Gu Yuanting held Ranran’s leg, slowly helping him extend the movement into position, but…

Su Yiran slowly pulled his left leg back, returning to his previous posture, and then began to extend his right leg.

Gu Yuanting’s throat moved. He couldn’t help but look at Ranran’s round and perky little butt again. It was enticing him with Ranran’s movements…

Gu Yuanting’s gaze darkened.

Su Yiran was concentrating on his movements, his eyes focused straight ahead, while adjusting his breathing with the movements, completely unaware of Gu Yuanting’s change.

Gu Yuanting, while assisting Ranran with his movements, couldn’t help but glance at his little butt again. He had seen it, touched it, and even kissed it, knowing it was especially fair, soft, and tender.

Gu Yuanting’s mouth was dry.

Su Yiran finally completed a set of exercises, changed position, and was about to start the next set. Then he noticed Ting-ge’s gaze on him had become deep and dark, like a jackal staring at meat within reach, full of danger.

Su Yiran: “…”

Gu Yuanting looked down at himself and said casually, “Don’t mind it. Come on, let’s continue. Start the next movement.”

Su Yiran: “…” How can he be so nonchalant?!

Su Yiran said with difficulty, “Ting-ge, why don’t you… go take care of that…”

Gu Yuanting shook his head, looking deeply at him: “Your recovery is important,” his voice was hoarse and low, as if hinting at something, “Recover quickly, Ranran.”

Su Yiran: “…”

Su Yiran inexplicably shivered, then, at Ting-ge’s request, obediently continued his rehabilitation exercises.

Gu Yuanting stoically ignored his own desires, continuing to assist Ranran with his movements. He stared at Ranran’s body stretching with each movement, and the small patches of fair skin inadvertently revealed, unconsciously becoming more and more resolute.

He couldn’t help but begin to fantasize… about his and Ranran’s first night.

First night… First night!

He grew excited.
