JOH CH76: The First Time
Su Yiran’s thumb brushed lightly under Gu Yuanting’s eyelashes, picking up the wetness on them. His heart felt as though it too had melted into water from that dampness.
He hadn’t expected that just a comically “wedding” could move Ting-ge to tears.
Su Yiran couldn’t help but kiss Gu Yuanting’s lips.
I love Ting-ge so much.
If Ting-ge said he didn’t cry, then he didn’t cry.
Gu Yuanting felt Ranran’s love and tenderness. His eyes grew hot, and he almost wanted to cry again.
He hugged Ranran tightly, closely, and then gently kissed him twice: “I love you, Ranran.”
Su Yiran rubbed his lips intimately against Ting-ge’s: “I love you too.”
Their gazes tangled together like spun sugar, inseparable, as if forming their own little world that outsiders couldn’t enter.
After a while, a young pastor walked out from behind the church, interrupting their atmosphere: “Both newlyweds, please follow me this way.”
Su Yiran then somewhat sobered up. He separated from Ting-ge slightly, looked around, feeling a bit embarrassed. He looked at the young pastor: “What is it?”
The young pastor smiled at them and said, “Please come over to process your marriage certificate.”
Marriage certificate? Su Yiran was stunned for a moment. Gu Yuanting beside him had already explained: “After a wedding ceremony in a church, the church will issue a marriage certificate that is recognized and universally accepted by the church.”
Su Yiran understood. That meant it had no legal effect in their home country. If they weren’t church believers, then it was just a formality.
However, since it wasn’t a real wedding, they probably didn’t need it. The young pastor had been at the back of the church and probably didn’t know what had just happened at the front, so he misunderstood.
Su Yiran was about to decline, but Gu Yuanting shook his hand: “Shall we go get it processed? As a souvenir.”
Su Yiran saw the expectation in Ting-ge’s eyes and couldn’t bear to refuse. Getting it as a souvenir would be nice. He nodded in agreement: “Okay, let’s go.”
To process the church’s marriage certificate, the officiating pastor also needed to sign it.
The old pastor, after presiding over their “wedding,” had returned to his old self, no longer as clear-headed as he was during the “wedding.” He mumbled as he closed his holy book, unclear about what he was saying.
The young pastor asked him to follow them to the back, but the old pastor remained unresponsive for a while. Finally, after a long time, he slowly nodded. The young pastor helped the old pastor and led them towards the back of the church.
Su Yiran and Gu Yuanting followed the young pastor into a private room within the church. The young pastor took out an A4-sized certificate and, with the old pastor as witness, helped them fill it out.
Church marriage certificates didn’t require photos, only signatures and registration. Unlike their home country where each spouse received a copy, there was only one marriage certificate. After the young pastor filled it out, Su Yiran, Gu Yuanting, and the officiating old pastor signed at the bottom.
The young pastor then registered them, effectively completing the registration. Finally, they returned to the front of the church, where the old pastor presented them with the marriage certificate in front of everyone.
Su Yiran and Gu Yuanting stood side by side in front of the old pastor, simultaneously extending their hands to receive the marriage certificate. The old pastor placed the certificate in their hands, speaking a divine blessing in an ancient language with a sacred, drawn-out cadence. It was very solemn.
Gu Yuanting’s fingers trembled slightly, and his heart also trembled slightly. The thin marriage certificate lay in his hand, making it feel heavy, as if it weighed a thousand jin.
He lovingly caressed the marriage certificate in his hand, holding it carefully and tenderly to his chest.
This was the witness to his marriage with Ranran.
Su Yiran saw that Ting-ge liked this souvenir, so he let him hold it.
After the marriage certificate was issued, the “wedding” was considered complete. The few tourists who were still in the audience applauded again, offering them sincere blessings.
This “unexpected” wedding, they received the pastor’s witness and strangers’ blessings.
The two thanked the pastor and the strangers, then, hand in hand, left the old, isolated little church on the white sandy beach.
November 27th, my Ranran and I got married. Gu Yuanting thought.
He would remember it for a lifetime.
It was getting late, and they had explored most of the town. After leaving the small church, they didn’t linger and returned to the yacht, setting off back to the island.
On the yacht, the butler brought them two glasses of juice. Su Yiran took a sip of juice and, seeing Ting-ge constantly holding the church’s marriage certificate, flipping through it, he sat closer and looked at it with him. They studied the letters on the marriage certificate together, a sense of emotion filling his heart.
However, as he read, Su Yiran suddenly thought of something, and he smiled again: “Ting-ge.”
“Hmm?” Gu Yuanting looked at him.
Su Yiran said with a smile, “Speaking of which, this counts as our second marriage, doesn’t it?”
Gu Yuanting: “…”
Su Yiran playfully pinched Ting-ge’s face: “Or bigamy, committing a crime.”
Gu Yuanting didn’t speak. He lovingly caressed the marriage certificate in his hand, then hugged Ranran and gently kissed him.
So what if it’s a second marriage, so what if it’s bigamy, so what if it’s a crime? He just wanted to marry Ranran, he just wanted Ranran to be his.
Su Yiran saw the diamond ring on his left ring finger sparkling under the light and remembered the ring issue: “Ting-ge, where did these diamond rings come from?”
Gu Yuanting knew Ranran would ask this question. He had his explanation ready: “These were ordered by me earlier, intended to be given to you on our wedding anniversary,” he paused, a sour taste rising in his mouth at the mention of Ranran and the original owner’s wedding anniversary, before continuing, “I was planning to give them to you on that day.”
From now on, he and Ranran also had a wedding anniversary: November 27th every year.
Gu Yuanting continued: “The rings were just finished and air-shipped yesterday, so I brought them with me. It just happened to be very fitting earlier, so I gave them to you ahead of time.”
“Is that so?” Su Yiran nodded. He was still a little skeptical; could it be such a coincidence? But they had just settled on the island last night, and he hadn’t noticed if anything was air-shipped.
Su Yiran thought the old pastor didn’t seem to be faking it, so it might just be a coincidence. He didn’t dwell on it too much. Even if it wasn’t a coincidence, it was just Ting-ge wanting to give him a surprise.
Gu Yuanting knew his explanation had loopholes, but it was the best one. Even if Ranran was suspicious, he would at most suspect that he wanted to give Ranran a surprise.
He breathed a sigh of relief when Ranran didn’t pursue the matter further.
Su Yiran took off the diamond ring on his finger and held it up to the light, discovering that the main diamond on the ring was exceptionally brilliant, pure, sparkling, and incredibly beautiful.
The entire ring was also elegant, simple, and pure, set with a few small accent diamonds. On the inner band of the ring, the letters “GS-forever” were engraved.
Seeing the letters, Su Yiran’s heart swelled with sweetness. He put the diamond ring back on his ring finger, then picked up Ting-ge’s hand, took off Ting-ge’s diamond ring, and indeed, “SG-forever” was engraved on the inner band.
Gu Yuanting, seeing Ranran’s apparent delight, felt relieved and confessed to him: “I designed these diamond rings. Do you like them?” He didn’t dare say that he had engraved the letters himself, or that Ranran’s ring was almost entirely made by him, as that would expose everything.
Although the letters on the inside of the ring were cliché, they represented his cherished and best wishes.
Su Yiran nodded, gently stroking the letters “forever”: “They’re really beautiful.”
However, Su Yiran noticed that the main diamond on Ting-ge’s ring was different from his own; it was smaller. Additionally, though it wasn’t obvious when looking at them individually, both main diamonds sparkled.
But when the two main diamonds were placed together, he noticed that Ting-ge’s main diamond was somewhat duller, while his own main diamond was much more brilliant, even somewhat too pure and beautiful.
Su Yiran couldn’t help but touch his main diamond. He thought of Ting-ge’s usual style, guessed something, and asked Ting-ge: “Does it… have a name?”
Gu Yuanting nodded: “It’s called ‘Light of the Sky’.”
Su Yiran stiffened. “Light of the Sky,” it was very famous, he remembered it. It must be worth hundreds of millions…
Su Yiran felt the diamond ring on his finger was burning hot.
However, on second thought, he already owned several diamond mines, had flown on private jets and yachts, and lived on a private island. Was he still afraid of a diamond worth hundreds of millions…?
Su Yiran felt like he was floating, and his skin had thickened. He quickly took another sip of juice, trying to remain calm.
Gu Yuanting put on his own diamond ring, picked up Ranran’s hand and kissed it, looking at Ranran’s ring finger adorned with his ring, feeling a surge of pleasure at having Ranran “secured.”
After realizing he couldn’t personally cut and polish diamonds, he started searching for a main diamond everywhere. Finally, he acquired the “Light of the Sky.” Only the purest, most brilliant, and most beautiful diamond could be worthy of Ranran, and then he poured his heart into personally crafting it.
Although Su Yiran felt like he was floating and wasn’t afraid of a diamond worth hundreds of millions anymore, he still felt he shouldn’t wear this diamond ring every day. He should switch back to their original wedding rings.
He then thought of his own wedding ring: “Oh, by the way, I don’t know where my wedding ring went. Maybe I left it on the sink when I washed my hands this morning. I’ll look for it when we get back.”
He remembered that when they left, he didn’t seem to have the ring on his finger. He hadn’t noticed it then, but now, recalling it carefully, he remembered.
So it must have been left at home, not lost.
As for Gu Yuanting’s wedding ring not being on his hand, Ting-ge had been wearing it inconsistently lately. He didn’t mind this and didn’t feel that wedding rings had to be worn every day, it was just his own habit to always wear his.
Gu Yuanting: “…” When we get back, I’ll find a chance to quickly throw that old ring away.
When the two returned to the villa on the island, Su Yiran noticed that the butler hadn’t followed them in like yesterday, and the villa’s servants were also nowhere to be seen.
Seeing Ranran’s slight confusion, Gu Yuanting stroked his little face, his eyes deep and dark as he looked at him: “I just want it to be the two of us, Ranran.”
Do what, just the two of us? Su Yiran understood Ting-ge’s implied meaning and couldn’t help but feel his face flush. He stumbled, almost tripping over his left foot. Gu Yuanting, seeing him nearly fall, quickly steadied him.
As Ting-ge helped him, Su Yiran felt the warmth of Ting-ge’s palm, making his waist feel a little weak. He hurriedly pulled away Ting-ge’s hand and quickly walked a few steps away, no longer able to think about anything related to rings.
In the evening, Gu Yuanting was cooking in the kitchen. Su Yiran hesitated at the doorway for a moment, then finally entered the kitchen and cooked with Ting-ge.
Gu Yuanting was already accustomed to cooking for Ranran himself. He had initially wanted Ranran to wait in the dining room, but hearing Ranran say he wanted to cook for him, he hesitated, and finally couldn’t resist the temptation, letting Ranran cook with him.
Su Yiran hadn’t cooked for a long time either, and he felt a bit restless. His body had already recovered, and he didn’t need to be taken care of for everything or prevented from doing anything. It made him feel very uncomfortable, and he had to change Ting-ge’s habit.
The dining room was set up like a candlelight dinner, but the meal wasn’t matching Western cuisine. It was still authentic Chinese home-cooked dishes, full of color, aroma, and taste. Su Yiran was generally indifferent to Western food; his favorite remained Chinese cuisine.
Previously, when traveling abroad with Ting-ge, he would only lightly sample foreign specialty foods and still seek out Chinese restaurants or famous foreign dessert shops.
The two ate dinner, both knowing what was going to happen that night. They chatted seemingly normally, but occasional glances and unintentional touches sparked with intensity and surging passion.
Just eating dinner made Su Yiran’s face flush. A glance at Ting-ge, or encountering the way Ting-ge looked at him, made his heart race and his face burn.
Finally, dinner was over. Gu Yuanting calmly led Ranran’s hand towards the bedroom.
As soon as they entered the bedroom, with a click, Gu Yuanting locked the door behind them. The sound of the lock seemed to excite them both. Gu Yuanting’s body trembled with excitement, and Su Yiran’s legs felt a little weak. He turned to look at Ting-ge, feeling as if he couldn’t move.
Gu Yuanting abruptly picked up Ranran and strode into the bathroom.
Su Yiran’s face was flushed as he obediently nestled in Ting-ge’s arms. Feeling Ting-ge’s reaction, he felt parched. It had been a long time since he and Ting-ge had loved each other properly. He, he missed Ting-ge too.
On the bathroom floor, clothes fell one by one. Gu Yuanting carried Ranran into the bathtub and carefully bathed him.
After their bath, Gu Yuanting used a large towel to dry Ranran. Su Yiran also used a towel to dry the water droplets from Ting-ge’s body and couldn’t help but secretly touch Ting-ge a couple of times, his ears burning red and feeling even more parched.
Gu Yuanting took a breath, his breathing completely unable to steady. He abruptly picked up Ranran and placed him on the bed in the bedroom…
From the moment Gu Yuanting returned home, his body and mind had been in a state of high excitement, so much so that even a glance from Ranran would ignite a fiery passion, burning his body beyond control.
He was going to have his first night with Ranran!
Finally!
He was brimming with excitement.
Gu Yuanting excitedly performed a “warm-up exercise” for Ranran, bringing him pleasure once, then excitedly began to explore new territory.
Gu Yuanting even felt that all of this was poetic and picturesque. With super excitement, he rubbed against him there. Su Yiran, with a flushed face, turned his head, not daring to look at him, nervously and expectantly waiting, only to feel…
Before it even began, it was already over.
In seconds.
Su Yiran: “…”
Gu Yuanting: “…”
Su Yiran slowly turned his head to look at Ting-ge: “…”
Ge, you didn’t even go in yet.
