On its first day of release, “Rong Yan” achieved a combined online and offline sales total of over 600,000 units!

By the second day, like many albums and singles, the growth rate significantly slowed down. However, by the end of the second day, “Rong Yan” recorded an additional 200,000 sales. This brought the total sales for the first two days to a staggering 800,000 units, securing its position as the fourth highest-selling Chinese album of the year!

In fact, at midnight on the first day of “Rong Yan”‘s release, the Aiyue Sales Chart updated its latest rankings. The Aiyue Sales Chart is a weekly chart, updated daily at midnight. Previously, when “Lost Wings” debuted on this chart, its first-day sales of 320,000 units made it the third-highest seller of that week, setting a remarkable record. Now, with the release of “Rong Yan,” Rong Xu has surpassed his own record with first-day sales of 600,000 units, soaring to the top of the chart and outselling the second-place artist by nearly 100,000 units!

The album by the second-place artist had been released five days prior and had accumulated 520,000 sales. This artist was an veteran singer, quite familiar with Chu Qi. She had asked Chu Qi to privately congratulate Rong Xu on her behalf, with no hint of jealousy. Rong Xu promptly added the diva’s contact information and thanked her.

Privately, Chu Qi chuckled and asked: “Have you considered venturing into the music industry?”

In the Qin Fengfeng team, Wen Xuan always clamored for Rong Xu to enter the music industry to “bully” Chu Qi and Lin Xuan. Every time she said this, Lin Xuan would arrogantly complain that Sister Xuan was bullying him, while Chu Qi would sigh, lamenting that he was about to be overtaken by newcomers.

However, everyone knew they were just joking. But now, Chu Qi was asking this seriously…

The young man’s clear eyes narrowed slightly. He pondered for a moment, then typed his reply: “I’m only human, not a god; my energy is limited. I need to prioritize what I do, Brother Chu. I prefer acting.”

But Chu Qi countered: “First-day sales of 600,000, almost matching my best record in years. Are you really not considering it?”

At this moment, Rong Xu had already left Huaxia with the “3200 Miles” crew and was in the United States preparing for the final promotional event. Looking at Chu Qi’s question, Rong Xu smiled faintly, his lips curling, and earnestly replied: “There are many reasons for these sales, Brother Chu. Thank you.”

Chu Qi didn’t say much more, only emphasizing one last point: “Lin Xuan keeps saying that once your sales break a million in a couple of days, he’s definitely making you treat everyone.”

Rong Xu was instantly amused.

On the fifth day of its release, “Rong Yan” became available worldwide, simultaneously. Global fans could purchase the album online or offline. This led to a terrifying increase in album sales on the fifth day, though overall, that day’s sales still didn’t exceed 200,000.

By the end of the day, the total sales of “Rong Yan” had surpassed 1.12 million, nearly reaching the sales figures of “Lost Wings.”

It’s important to remember that “Lost Wings” achieved its high sales thanks to “Black Clouds,” Ling Xiao’s name, and charitable activities. However, the success of “Rong Yan” is entirely due to Rong Xu himself, with Yang Lao’s reputation being a minor contributing factor at most.

In recent days, Luo Zhentao was so happy he couldn’t stop smiling. He even kept planning how Rong Xu should develop in the music industry, but Rong Xu calmly stopped him. “Brother Luo, I don’t plan to develop a long-term career in the music industry. You should focus on new acting projects.”

Luo Zhentao was surprised: “Xiao Xu, 1.12 million sales, that’s so good! Do you really not want to develop in the music industry?” Perhaps you could become the next Ling Xiao in the music industry!

Luo Zhentao didn’t voice the rest of his thoughts, but under the bright lights, Rong Xu smiled faintly and countered, “Do you think I can become Ling Xiao?”

Luo Zhentao didn’t answer, but his eyes betrayed his true feelings.

Rong Xu looked his manager up and down, then chuckled, “Brother Luo, have you felt like you’ve gained weight recently?”

Luo Zhentao was startled: “I’ve gained weight?”

Rong Xu slowly stopped smiling and said earnestly, “Self-inflation leads to gaining weight.”

After that statement, Rong Xu and Luo Xi boarded their flight and left Huaxia. Watching the plane disappear into the clouds, Luo Zhentao sighed softly with lingering trepidation, shaking his head: “You’re only twenty, but how do you seem… more mature than me?”

Rong Xu’s words not only calmed Luo Zhentao down but also instantly sobered up the more excited Luo Xi. The young assistant felt as if she had been doused with cold water. Originally, with the massive sales of the “Rong Yan” album, Luo Xi was the most excited of the three. She even believed that her Rong Rong would definitely become a top-tier artist in both acting and singing! Who cares that God Qin has won so many Best Actor awards? Her Rong Rong sings just as incredibly! It doesn’t matter that Ling Xiao is the most famous pop icon of this century, Ling Xiao can’t act anyway! Luo Xi hadn’t spoken these thoughts aloud, but it didn’t mean she wasn’t thinking them deep down. This idea had sprouted in her heart, and Luo Zhentao also inevitably had similar notions. However, all these thoughts could be summarized by Rong Xu’s single phrase—they had become self-inflated.

Rong Xu has two films with box office revenues exceeding ten billion, and two albums with sales exceeding one million, yet he hasn’t won a single Best Actor award nor become a music industry king. He’s only been debuted for just over two years. Many young artists shoot to fame, becoming incredibly popular, but ultimately are just a flash in the pan, unable to sustain their success long-term. There might be numerous reasons for this, but self-inflation and overconfidence leading to defeat are important factors that cannot be overlooked.

Luo Xi quickly drank a glass of ice water, suppressing all the overly arrogant thoughts in her mind. Finally, she quietly observed Rong Xu beside her, seeing the handsome and clear-minded young man resting quietly with his eyes closed. Just as she saw every day, he wore a faint, calm smile, showing no excessive joy or much disappointment.

On July 16th, the “3200 Miles” film crew participated in the final promotional event before the movie’s release. This time, the movie gained a new promotional point: Clemens did not hesitate to lavish praise on Rong Xu during the show, frequently mentioning the “Rong Yan” album.

This approach brought significant exposure to “Rong Yan,” making many international film enthusiasts aware of the album and boosting its sales. At the same time, it also created buzz for the film itself.

If one were to ask what Chinese moviegoers were most looking forward to in July, it wasn’t Director Xu’s upcoming Jinyiwei film, nor was it a literary masterpiece co-produced by Old Liu and Wen Xuan, but rather Clemens Holt’s globally released commercial blockbuster, “3200 Miles!”

Regardless of denial, cool and smooth commercial films have always been the favorite of moviegoers. Watching movies is a leisure activity. Sometimes, watching thought-provoking films can indeed lead to reflection and deep thought, but most of the time, moviegoers simply need some visual impact. As long as they feel happy for those two hours and the movie makes them feel exhilarated, that’s enough; it’s a good movie.

On July 19th, “3200 Miles” concluded its global promotional activities. The movie is set for a simultaneous global release on July 29th. Before that, the main creative team received a short break. However, for Rong Xu, Clemens, and Jennifer, this break wasn’t for rest, but for attending the annual Berlin Film Festival.

On July 21st, the 2045 Berlin Film Festival officially opened to the anticipation of film enthusiasts. In the early hours of that day, Rong Xu and Jennifer arrived in Berlin on the same flight.

That evening, they were to attend the opening ceremony of the Berlin Film Festival. Seven days later, they would also attend the Berlin Golden Bear Awards, held concurrently with the film festival.
