by DewdropTLTu Tianba sternly laid down the law for the man, comprehensively displaying his authority as a husband, and then suddenly went quiet.
Not long after, a strange chuckle escaped his lips.
Tu Tianba subconsciously raised a hand to cover his mouth, his large, round apricot eyes glancing at the man as he explained rapidly:
“Um, I was just happy, that’s why I laughed. Oh, right, about how I was earlier…” He gestured casually, emphasizing, “It’s not because there’s something wrong with my head. I’m just born with a bit of a bad temper, a bit quick to anger, that’s all.”
After speaking, he nodded to himself, yet his eyes constantly monitored the man’s reaction. Seeing the man remain silent, Tu Tianba’s expression shifted back to the familiar look of anger. Puffing his cheeks, he called out:
“Hey, did you hear me?”
Honestly, after Tu Tianba decided to separate the person before him into two distinct entities, he felt his previous actions were somewhat inappropriate and needed clarifying.
He wasn’t a crazy person. He just had a bad temper.
“…”
Dammit!
Those inner demons clamoring in his ears truly deserved to die! What if his big-butted male wife thought he was mentally unstable and disgusted him?!
Why isn’t this guy speaking!
Hurry up and talk to me!!
Speaking of which, how do you be a good cut-sleeve?
Inner demon, clever inner demon, teach me!
Tu Tianba’s brain faced an unprecedented challenge.
A-Hui, however, was stunned for a long time. Meeting the youth’s fiery and urgent gaze, he had to snap back to reality, though the echo of “I might like you a little bit” still lingered in his ears…
The youth’s tone was straightforward and indifferent, as if stating something as ordinary as “I’m hungry.” Yet A-Hui suddenly realized that some subtle changes had occurred in the youth.
That faint, piercing coldness had vanished.
At this moment, the youth was glaring at him awkwardly, seemingly angry, but a trace of hidden nervousness lingered deep in his eyes.
Recalling what the youth had said, A-Hui felt a bit like laughing. Although the youth’s personality was indeed bizarre and overwhelming, how could he possibly see him as a lunatic?
…Just a bit erratic.
Without showing any emotion, he released the youth’s waist and hand. Under the youth’s displeased expression, he slowly sat up and spoke gradually in a gentle, affirming tone:
“It was my sluggish behavior that angered you.”
“You don’t need to worry about me having any bad opinions of you. Everyone has their own unique temperament. It’s just that when interacting with people, there’s always a process of adjustment…”
“Let’s make an agreement: moving forward, I will speak more directly to you, and you try not to get angry so often. Would that be alright?”
The man’s tone was gentle. He first took the blame upon himself, then stated his perspective, and finally proposed a way to establish boundaries, layering his words progressively.
Inside the system space.
N001 pumped its fist excitedly: “Although this host is terrifyingly crazy, thankfully the protagonist is an unprecedentedly reliable man. Even with amnesia, he still retains his master-like instincts. Excellent!”
“Even though ‘Master’ is absolutely the most high-risk profession in cultivation novels, sacrificing the protagonist to make both systems happy—the duty of saving the world rests entirely on you!”
“Go forth, go and reform the host! At worst, you just feed yourself to the tiger. The future of the cultivation world relies entirely on you!”
In front of the light screen, the white orb grieved, struggled, and cheered.
The blue orb in the corner: […]
What do you mean ‘make both systems happy’?
Who exactly is secretly happy??
Hurry up and let me go back to the Main Bureau!
The sorrows and joys of orbs are not connected. The blue orb only felt the main system was noisy, but could only grumble inwardly.
Don’t ask. If you ask, the answer is: Can’t afford to offend it.
Outside the light screen.
Tu Tianba felt as if his ears had momentarily cleared upon hearing celestial music.
If the person saying these words were the bullshit Immortal Lord, he would definitely be consumed by jealousy and disgust, feeling that the damn heavens were truly unfair for giving one person all the good traits.
I want them too!
Go crazy—
Keep going crazy—
However, the person speaking now was his male wife, A-Hui. The arrogant flame Tu Tianba had just built up instantly extinguished. With a kick of his legs, he suddenly slid forward…
His head smoothly came to rest on the man’s thigh.
Feeling the soft yet resilient sensation from the back of his head, he couldn’t help but let out a long sigh of relief. He casually stroked the man’s calf and replied:
“Fine, I’ll listen to you.”
Of course, the effective period was temporarily set for before the man recovered his memory.
Tu Tianba thought for a moment and added:
“Ah, but I can’t guarantee I won’t lose my temper. I’m not saying I’ll definitely beat or scold you, but one shouldn’t make promises they can’t keep, right?”
“I am an honest and reliable man, after all.”
Dammit. If it were anything else, he would just lie and be done with it. But this matter was truly too difficult. Tu Tianba felt his weakness had been poked, making him a bit displeased, but he was also too addicted to the man’s thigh and too lazy to get up. Little did he know that when he said the words “honest and reliable,” his eyes began to shift unnaturally again.
A-Hui nodded, lowering his eyes and taking it all in.
He didn’t push the youth’s head away. He merely silently caught the youth’s hand, which was stealthily crawling toward a certain place, and gently pulled it onto his own knee.
Seeing the other unconsciously pout, he smiled and affirmed softly, “Mm, indeed, one shouldn’t lightly promise what they cannot do. You’ve considered this more thoroughly.”
Oof.
Hearing this voice, half of Tu Tianba’s body went numb. He couldn’t help but let out another strange chuckle, urging:
“Rub there again.”
He meant the side of his wrist.
But A-Hui, holding his hand, didn’t rub here or there as requested. Instead, he restrained his expression and asked somewhat gravely about the resonance spell.
His voice was pleasant to listen to, and Tu Tianba felt comfortable hearing it. Thus, he concealed the matters regarding the Spirit-Gathering Pill and the inner demons, but essentially explained everything else he could.
“The Spirit Fetus is overbearing, and you are a sword cultivator; the spiritual energy in your body contains sword qi. Naturally, you will feel a sharp, piercing pain like swords and blades after it absorbs it.”
“But don’t worry, this fetus is not like a real human. It absolutely needs ten months of gestation before it can be born…”
Tu Tianba tilted his head, carefully observed with his Heavenly Eye for a moment, and continued:
“Hmm, by the looks of it, it will only take ten days to reach full maturity. One day has already passed, so there are nine days left…”
It was just that once this fetus was born, the man’s life force would be severed, his oil lamp completely dried up. Therefore, it could only be cut out, not born.
After casting aside his disgust for the bullshit Immortal Lord, Tu Tianba very quickly entered the role of a husband. He flipped his hand to knead the fleshiest part of the man’s palm a few times, comforting:
“Don’t worry, I will definitely help you induce labor smoothly!”
“I will definitely make that scourge hindering my dual cultivation die in the womb!”
Tu Tianba spoke through gritted teeth.
A-Hui: “…”
Even though it was a matter of his life and death, the youth still wore a bizarre, rather improper expression. Nonetheless, the man offered a sincere word of thanks.
Then, he brought up the old matter again.
“…You should still dispel the spell.”
That wave of pain was bone-deep. He didn’t know how the youth managed to endure it, his behavior and expression completely natural, not revealing a single star or speck of pain, as if he felt nothing at all. He hadn’t known about this earlier. Now that he did, A-Hui couldn’t calmly accept the other taking his place to bear it.
Tu Tianba found the man’s nagging annoying and grew impatient. He had brought up a minor issue repeatedly.
But then he thought: There’s no reason a wife should be scolded for caring about her husband, right? It would make me look like such a terrible person…
So, Tu Tianba adjusted his posture, crossed one leg, swung it casually and lazily a few times, and replied:
“Forget it.”
“You really are a delicate man, unable to bear the slightest pain. If you passed out and slept the whole way again, even if you are my wife, I could endure not smacking you for at most two days.”
Except he had just said he wouldn’t beat or scold the man. Tu Tianba suddenly felt a bit embarrassed. Counting on his fingers, he corrected himself: “Three, four… um…”
Tu Tianba pondered for a long time. With a face full of reluctance, he extended five fingers, holding them up to the man’s face, seeking praise:
“Five days! I can endure for five days!”
“If I really can’t hold back, I’ll try to do it lightly.”
After speaking, Tu Tianba suddenly fell silent.
What’s going on, why do I feel more and more embarrassed the more I speak!
He retracted his hand with a swish, curled his five fingers into his palm, and very impatiently changed his tune again:
“So annoying, let’s just leave it at that.”
“I don’t feel a thing anyway, so stop nagging. I won’t cancel the spell! I am the head of this household, what I say goes!”
Tu Tianba made the final decision.
However, A-Hui pondered for a moment and asked him again,
“Why can’t you feel the pain?”
When Tu Tianba retracted his hand earlier, he accidentally caught a strand of the man’s hair. He couldn’t help but tangle it between his fingers, winding it up loop by loop.
Suddenly.
He remembered a certain scene from the book.
White skin, black hair, and fragrant sweat dripping.
Tu Tianba flipped over like a civet cat, instantly changing from a reclining posture to squatting in front of the man, both hands still resting on his knees, winding his hair…
He leaned his upper body closer, bringing his nose to the side of the man’s fair neck. His fingertips also teased the roots of the man’s hair a few times, and like a lecher, he closed his eyes and took a deep sniff.
Although the man had been reduced to a mortal, this body had cultivated for an incredibly long time, its impurities having been purged long ago… His sweat smelled faint, not foul. He really did carry a very light fragrance.
The man leaned back slightly, distancing himself, still saying, “Be serious, I’m asking you…”
Tu Tianba was in no mood to listen to this. He mumbled a few “uh-huhs” in response, completely irrelevant to the question, not even hiding his perfunctoriness, laying it out plainly.
“You ask, you ask, let me smell again.”
As he spoke, the hand resting on the man’s knee misbehaved again, rubbing back and forth several times. His middle and index fingers instinctively drilled toward the fold behind the man’s bent knee. It was warm and soft.
A-Hui couldn’t ask anymore. Not only that, his body hair was practically standing on end.
Despite the youth repeatedly referring to himself as “husband,” A-Hui couldn’t calmly view him as such, yet the other was always getting handsy, trying every way to get close to him. His intent to dual cultivate with him was also never hidden. Even though the two of them were Dao Companions, with his lost memories, he temporarily couldn’t accept being this… this…
Inside the flying boat.
The man’s back was pressed against the boat’s wall, his upper body leaning slightly backward, his head turned to the side. Yet the crouching youth before him pressed closer undeniably, inexplicably giving off an oppressive feeling.
Not just an oppressive feeling.
A-Hui felt the fingers drilling into the crook of his knee repeatedly…
If they were newly acquainted strangers, the youth’s actions would absolutely be considered obscene behavior. But A-Hui, wholeheartedly grateful for being saved and having his pain transferred through the spell, suppressed his instinct to fight back, attempting to pull the situation back on track.
“Little Cultivator, listen to me—”
In the next instant, he heard the youth let out a strange cry, burying his head in the side of his neck. His deep breathing drove the airflow, spraying onto his skin, exceptionally pronounced.
“Uh-huh, ha, you talk, you talk, you smell so good.”
A-Hui: “…”
A-Hui: “…Don’t, don’t do this.”
For some unknown reason, after the man said this, Tu Tianba only felt his entire body heat up; even the breath he exhaled felt like it was going to catch fire. He looked down and asked honestly:
“Did you drug me with an aphrodisiac?”
Suddenly slapped with such a huge accusation, the man could no longer maintain his upright and indifferent expression. His face flushed several shades redder, completely unable to state the truth.
What could he say?
Say the youth’s preferences were abnormal?
Say his own body had aroused his desires?
…Too shameful to say.
Seeing the youth about to lean in again, A-Hui really couldn’t take it anymore. Hardening his heart, he turned his face back. His lips practically bumped into the youth’s face, planting a kiss right on the mole on the bridge of his nose.
Sure enough.
Tu Tianba jumped up like a startled rabbit.
He squatted on the edge of the flying boat’s wall, his high ponytail almost standing on end, blown chaotic by the wind, swaying behind him like an animal’s long tail.
Tu Tianba covered his nose, his eyes wide in a glare. Pointing furiously at the man, he demanded:
“Why did you sneak-attack me?!”
He shouted with full vigor, yet that round, puffed-up face was so red it looked like it was about to emit white smoke. No matter how you looked at it, he seemed weak-willed.
A-Hui: “…”
I’m the one who was being frivolous with, right?
Just like that, a flying boat carrying two red-faced people flew to Yongge City, near the Wondrous Immortal Sect.
Author’s Note:
Here I am.
Xiaoming’s affection points have finally gone from negative to positive. The whole ‘wanting to kill him’ thing was pretty serious, but after pushing that onto the [Bullshit Immortal Lord] and viewing [A-Hui] independently, his affection for him is actually quite high. A-Hui is good-looking and speaks nicely. Although as a male he might feel jealous, if it’s his wife, he’s actually quite happy. Of course, no matter how high the affection points are, it doesn’t delay his yearning for dual cultivation.
