In the previous two dreams, Xie Jianwei had entered completely bewildered, relying entirely on guesswork from start to finish.

This time, Classmate Old Lu was remarkably thoughtful, preparing a diary directly for him. Skimming through ten lines at a glance, Xie Jianwei was already crystal clear on just what kind of lunatic he was playing.

A sixteen-year-old boy starved of love, suffering from chronic poor health due to various reasons, steeped in medicine pots from childhood to youth. He hadn’t even breathed much fresh air from the outside world. Having lived this long, the only familiar faces around him were servants and more servants, without a single friend to his name.

His parents were busy with work, flying all over the world and barely returning home a handful of times in an entire year.

Living like this, it would be difficult for the young boy’s mental state to remain normal.

That was until a year ago, when Lu Li became his family physician, dropping by at regular intervals to give him medical checkups, chat with him, and secretly bring him novel little trinkets.

Where would the young boy have ever seen such things? After just a few visits, “Doctor Lu” was constantly on the tip of his tongue, reducing him to his number-one fanboy.

Yet looking at this diary spanning an entire year, the boy had long ceased being a mere fanboy; his obsession had escalated to a downright deranged, lunatic degree.

    Take this entry, for example:

    Date: XX/XX/20XX

Why does A-Juan keep stealing glances at Doctor Lu?

Doctor Lu is mine! No one is allowed to stare at him!

A-Juan is so annoying, so detestable. I really want to gouge her eyes…

Xie Jianwei felt an inexplicable pang of sympathy for this A-Juan. Being fired was actually a blessing; if she stayed any longer, there was no telling what this psychotic youth might have done to her.

Having finished reading his “script,” Xie Jianwei let out a long sigh.

In the previous dream, he was a hedonistic, heartless CEO scumbag shou; in this dream, he was a morbidly obsessed, yandere young master.

The contrast was rather drastic, and he needed a little time to switch gears and adjust.

In truth, Xie Jianwei couldn’t quite fathom this setting.

What did Lu Li want in this dream? He had already been set up to love him to the point of mental illness; could that love truly be taken up another notch?

When it was already like this, how could one love any more deeply?

Even with an IQ of 280, Xie Jianwei couldn’t quite wrap his head around the thought process of a psychiatric patient.

Well, by “psychiatric patient,” he meant the yandere young master, definitely not his Little Lu Li.

All right, that clarification only made it more suspicious 😀

Not having a clue for the moment didn’t matter. Lu Li would arrive tomorrow anyway, and when the time came, he would adapt as things unfolded; a solution could always be found.

Xie Jianwei put away the diary and got out of bed to dress.

Standing before the mirror and gazing at his reflection, he felt momentarily dazed.

    This was himself at sixteen.

Xie Jianwei smiled faintly, taking it as greeting “him.”

Back then, he couldn’t truly be considered alive.

Of course, so much time had passed that looking back on those days left him feeling quite peaceful.

After all, meeting Lu Li had marked the true beginning of his life.

Lu Li was a bona fide orphan, an impoverished brat who had spent his days gnawing on apples; heaven only knew how he had managed to imagine the lifestyle of a wealthy young master.

Yet it was surprisingly well put-together, giving Xie Jianwei a vaguely unpleasant sense of familiarity.

A lavish mansion, servants with perpetual bowed heads whose facial expressions were fewer than those of an AI android, an enormous living hall so quiet that a pin drop could be heard clearly, and a crystal chandelier as dazzling as the sun that one could look up at, yet only ever look at from below.

No matter how brilliant the chandelier shone, it could not illuminate the lifeless gloom pervading the entire house.

Xie Jianwei’s physical condition was genuinely terrible. Merely walking down the spiral staircase—going down, no less—already had him panting lightly, a sheen of sweat beading on his forehead.

Setting him up to be this frail, Xie Jianwei mused to himself: was Big Li still planning on engaging in pleasant bedroom activities with him or not?

Dinner was already laid out on the long dining table downstairs.

For a single person, the spread was remarkably lavish.

Seven dishes and a soup, all featuring exquisite, expensive ingredients. An ordinary person would probably drool at the sight, eagerly picking up their silverware to feast with delight.

Xie Jianwei, however, knitted his brow slightly.

    Passive-aggressive cold violence.

To have every detail crafted so thoroughly, he truly couldn’t fathom where Lu Li had gleaned such experience.

The masters of the estate flew around the world year-round, while the young master was frail, likely possessing quite the fiery temper on normal days. Thus, these servants not only looked down on him, but actively detested him.

In the eyes of outsiders, this table of dishes was beyond reproach.

Yet for Xie Jianwei, among these greasy, heavy dishes, there wasn’t a single item he could stomach.

His body was too weak, his digestive and absorption systems utterly miserable. If he ate a couple of pieces of meat out of hunger now, he could look forward to tossing and turning with severe stomach cramps in the middle of the night.

Yet if he didn’t eat, he starved. If he threw a tantrum saying the food wasn’t to his taste, the servants would promptly remake it for him, but the remade food would still be the same stuff.

If Xie Jianwei directly stated that he wanted something light and plain, they had their counter-arguments ready: “Young Master, the Master and Madam have specifically instructed that you must eat more nutritious food so your health can improve.”

    Improve, my foot.

Xie Jianwei naturally had ways to punish this bunch, but he did nothing.

After all, according to the premise, he was a pitiful youth who was bullied terribly, living in a gilded mansion yet starved of love.

He had to wait for his Marshal on a white horse… ah no, his Doctor on a white horse to come save him.

Having starved through the night, Xie Jianwei took one look at breakfast and knew he would have to keep starving.

These bastards, preparing a bowl of beef noodles and making it spicy-numbing at that—were they trying to tempt him to death!

Given this body’s constitution, if he ate this bowl of noodles, he wouldn’t be going anywhere today; the bathroom would become his secondary bedroom.

Pitiably, Military Advisor Xie never felt complete without chili, and staring at that red chili oil made his heart twitch with craving.

Hungry and craving, it was fortunate that Xie Jianwei possessed formidable willpower, stubbornly holding out!

According to the yandere youth’s diary, Doctor Lu usually arrived around ten in the morning.

Every time, Xie Jianwei would sit by the window waiting for him, from the moment he opened his eyes at dawn until Lu Li’s figure appeared at the courtyard gate.

Sometimes it was three hours, sometimes four hours. Sometimes, because of the thought that he would see Lu Li soon, Xie Jianwei would be too excited to sleep, waking at five in the morning to start sitting there waiting.

There was only one reason: he feared that if Lu Li happened to arrive a little early, he might accidentally miss him.

Indeed, the young master was just that deranged.

Xie Jianwei checked the time. If he sat over there now, he would have to sit for at least three hours.

Just thinking about it made his back ache, especially when his stomach was sticking to his spine from hunger.

Yet not sitting there wouldn’t do, because everyone knew of this habit, and Lu Li knew of it too, having urged him countless times to stop. But Xie Jianwei, being a willful young master, naturally never listened, sitting there waiting every single time.

However, checking the time again, Xie Jianwei felt there was no need to go play the “waiting-husband rock” right this second. In any case, Lu Li wouldn’t arrive until around ten at the earliest.

Unfortunately, just as Xie Jianwei picked up a book and curled up in bed, preparing to read leisurely for a bit, footsteps sounded from outside.

    Who was here?

He shut the book, and before he could get out of bed, the door opened.

Lu Li strode inside. Seeing him still in bed, he smiled faintly: “I heard from Xiao Shan that you didn’t eat breakfast again?”

Xie Jianwei’s heart lurched. How did he arrive without warning? What happened to ten in the morning? Arriving at this hour, wasn’t him not waiting by the window slightly out of character for the neurotic persona?

Fortunately, Xie Jianwei reacted with lightning speed. His eyes filled with pure pleasant surprise as he scrambled out of bed. In his frantic haste, the book was swept off the mattress onto the floor; on the cover happened to be an interview photo of Lu Li.

Lu Li naturally spotted the book as well.

Xie Jianwei appeared to treasure it dearly. At the sound of it hitting the floor, he panicked completely, bending down to pick it up. Seeing that a corner of the cover was slightly creased, his eyes reddened faintly with genuine heartache.
